Why would the UFC give a tiny promotion a major platform and put their(ufc) fighter at risk of getting beaten by a fighter not under ufc contract? Stupid question. The ufc had the opportunity to sign Francis with co-promotion stipulations and they declined. Why would the ufc change their mind now when he’s not under contract?

Tony Ferguson took a short notice fight against Justin Gaethje during Covid. He already had earned a title shot a long ago at that time. To keep the bosses happy he took the fight and lost. He never got his shot again. I would have sued the UFC from taking away my earning potential just to keep them happy. Short notice fights are a trap in that company. They shouldn’t taken them.
