Why are you obsessed with having over-sexualized female characters in the game while avoiding sexualizing male characters like the plague?
You have White Rabbit in the game, who essentially only exists to be titillating. Yet with the male characters, you want to emphasize how cool and badass and masculine and desexualized they are.

Having batman visit other cities always seemed like a natural progression to me if there was to be another arkham game so cool to see someone use the idea

Personally I think a Batman game if they were to do other cities should really only do the sister city Blüdhaven…that way it’s a mass expansion but the focus is still on Gotham as many crime syndicates bleed into bludhaven.

A great part about this is that Calendar Man is a pretty legitimate threat, which helps explain why he was the reason Bruce made the Knightfall protocol
Apparently Dick designed the original Robin outfit, basing it on the colour and outfits of The Flying Graysons' act.
I would personally think it would be cool if we had like a Prometheus or Rat Catcher side mission so the profile files from Asylum have some sort of meaning
This would be an interesting time to include Prometheus too. Batman is still early in his career and unsure of himself. With the events happening, Prometheus sees an opportunity to prove himself. Maybe his parents worked for Carmine Falcone and Prometheus blames Bruce for their deaths. Bruce hunts him down, only to learn he's a kid and an orphan, same age as Dick, except instead of idolising Bruce, Prometheus actively hates him. I think that would be a fun comparison.

In Arkham Knight the Arkham city map is connected to it via a shut down train road and in Arkham origins it is clear that the map is an island coming off of the Arkham city map.
My point here is that we already have a massive 5 island map that could be used in this game, I would expect that the Arkham Knight map would be similar yet very different to make the map fresh.
Hear me out, one more sequel with all five islands, and then, at the very end, the wreckage of Arkham Asylum

Adding Superman to this darker Arkhamverse world was a bold risk and I really commend you for it. The Robin and Catwoman stuff are both great, as well as the politics of the Families vs. the Freaks. It recontextualizes the world we're introduced do in Asylum. REALLY appreciate the deeper lore on the Arkham family as well, not enough Batman stories do that.
My one tiny note is that I'd advise you just be careful with the Scarecrow stuff, as he has been in almost every DC game SINCE Asylum, including the injustice series. His levels in that first game were part of what made it stand out and I'd hate to see it be shown up by what's meant to be an earlier entry in the canon.
But either way, front to back this is really impressive. I'd play the hell out of this game.
The league was a thing in the Arkam verse, they even helped behind the scene.
The Scarecrow levels in the original were brilliant, so I don’t want to see anything like that done again because this is supposed to be a prequel….. what?
Eh, it’s not that weird to have Superman around, even though he feels different from the Arkhamverse. While Gotham is dark and gloomy, Metropolis is light and cheerful. I always just imagined them as opposites.
I think adding Superman (and other heroes) to the Arkhamverse can work. Remember, the darker, more psychological detective story works for Batman exclusively. Adding other heroes with their own tones can really flesh it out.

Have Batman losing in that final fight in Metropolis, have the enemies taunt him "whaddya gonna do, Bat?!?"
Then have a prompt on-screen say "even the odds"
The player presses it, thinking it'll be the batmobile like in Knight. But instead his batsymbol on his belt glows yellow and red. The base shakes. The sound of a super sonic boom as Supes crashes in! He takes down one thug, and joins you in the fight!
You can do take downs together, combo-teamup moves. But, principally, you cannot play as him. This won't be like Nightwing, Catwoman and Robin in Knight. Supes will remain an unplayed character. For now...
But just a lil taste of their capacity as a team. A justice team!
I like the idea of Metropolis because it makes sense of Batman and Talia spending the night there. Great job!
If he makes another video of a third game, having Batman go back to Metropolis involving something with Talia I think would be great foreshadowing for Arkham City

It’s literally perfect, an Arkham game where we get a different main villain but it ends up being blamed on Joker anyway fits perfectly for Calendar Man!
Small nitpick, I know an adaptation can do whatever it wants but Crazy Quilt has never actually been associated with quilts or quilting. He uses bright coloured lights to disorient and hypnotise people. It could still work in context if he's set up projectors around the hotel or something.
Damn, I biffed that one then. Of all the characters used, he's the one I was least familiar with. I think the only comic I actually read him in was Snyder's Endgame and that's a very different interpretation of the character from what I understood. Maybe I saw him in Brave and the Bold or something. I really should've done some research rather than relying on my horrible memory. Thanks for the callout though, from now on I'll hide behind my adaptation defense :)

My only gripe is that you mixed a bit of continuity. In knight Bruce states that Thomas Wayne failed to save Mr. Elliot, but saved his wife.

It only occurred to me while I was writing this comment that the bird is analogous to Batman and Robin, because I remembered Arnold Schwarzenegger saying "Bat und bird"
if you do a side missions video you should definitely have some dealing with the blue boy scout when batman is in metropolis

I actually enjoyed listening to this, and I know this is very unlikely, but I think it could be cool if you did a third Arkham Origins sequel, sort of making a prequel trilogy. There could even be DLC for Arkham Bonds that you could create (if you do the side missions idea video), that leaves it open for the third game.
I'm glad that it involved Robin as we saw how Dick first became him in the Arkham-verse and truly tested Bruce, not just as Batman, but as a father, and I guess a son to Alfred and I also like the character selection too.
As for an idea for the third game, it could be set where Robin (Dick) and Batman are starting to stray or Dick could be wanting to have his own persona, getting out of the shadow of The Batman, could be set maybe another four years (maybe later), and could lead to Dick becoming Nightwing either at the end or near the end of the game.
The story for this game could potentially centre around Harvey Dent, the new face of Gotham, which could work similar to what was shown in The Dark Knight film, where its the trio or Batman, Gordon and Dent working together, there could even be a few references to the film. We could potentially see how close they've become with Batman, maybe even showing some emotion if Dent makes a quip or something. Of course, Dent would become Two-face in this game, but I'd maybe build up Harvey as a character, or perhaps even after he becomes Two-face, he still tried his best to do good, but his split-personality starts to show with him being more angrier each time he meets with Batman (his other personality, blaming Batman).
That's pretty much the main point of the third game. If you choose to follow this up, I'll leave that up to you. It could even potentially set up Jason as the next Robin, even including how he was introduced in the comics, by stealing the tires off of the Batmobile. Hell, this could even be a secret side-mission where if you take out the Batmobile and leave it for a while, then come back to it. You may first find that someone tried to take one of the wheels with little success, maybe leaving a broken tool with the remnants stuck in the wheel, and then the second encounter could be that the tire has been taken this time, which of course is dealt with due to Batman having a spare (sure a little joke but I think it could work.) The third, all the wheels are gone, maybe having to call the Bat-wing to come and collect both Batman and the Batmobile. Then, the fourth and final time, you finally catch the culprit, maybe placing a tracker on the wheels now and trace them back to a warehouse of sorts. Where could you find a bunch of thugs trying to buy the tires from a young kid. The deal goes south, where the thugs just push the kid aside and start taking the wheels. What for? Who knows. The kid starts to fight back, showing his temper, maybe even doing some serious harm to one the thugs, with a crowbar, perhaps? Before the thugs can hurt the kid, Batman intervenes and takes down the thugs.... easily. Maybe in the confusion, the boy slips away and hides, having you try to find with the x-ray vision. Once you find him, Batman confronts the boy but similar to the comics, rather that angry, he's actually impressed? Not about his skill, but about his bravery and determination, about how most if not all criminals wouldn't dare go near the car, but a kid his age did, knowing full-well who's car it was. Batman could give him a small talking to and offers to take him home, where the boy would reply that he has no home or that the streets are his home. This could then have Bruce see the potential in him and decides to bring him back to the Bat-cave. Batman asks what his name is after helping him bring back the tires to the Batmobile. The boy then repies with "Jason..... Jason Todd". The bat-cave could serve as a similar hub for the player where we could have RDR2 interactions where the NPC characters speak to each other and the player. I think it could be cool to see the current Robin and the next Robin interact as we haven't really seen that in the Arkham-verse, Dick could even joke by saying to Bruce, "Already planning on replacing me?"
I know it's not fleshed out or even well written, but I think it could be an interesting idea. Especially since we'll never see it.
@@bruhmanofyear2647 Yeah, my bad. I only just found out the actual timeline of the Arkham series, maybe a couple of days ago. Still, I'm sure with a bit of tweaking, the idea still could work, maybe 2 instead of 4 years.
I think if they did a third origins game i think it would have to be with jason to give us more backstory so that it might make Arkham knight hit a bit better
@@volpe7436 I agree. It would have to have something to do with Jason. Whether it be part of the main story or like my idea, as a side mission. I don't know if it should include his "death," as I don't think the players would be satisfied because A, from Arkham Knight, we would know where he was and B, It seems like Batman seemed to give up easily in trying to find him. Even seemingly recruiting Tim Drake while Jason is still being tortured.
Though, maybe that could be like a DLC or addon like Arkham City's Harley's Revenge or Arkham Knight's DLC. This smaller idea could tie into either idea.
I think a third game in an Origins Trilogy focusing on Two-Face’s origins would be a perfect follow up to this game since Falcone is in the process of being charged which is where Harvey ends up getting turned into Two-Face in the Arkham lore!

To me, it works & I like it. Maybe it's because of the way Joker in contemporary stories has been pushed front & center as the be all-end all mastermind villain who's the central antagonistic force in any story he's in, so people feel it's wrong when he plays a supporting role & ESPECIALLY to a D/C-lister.
But to me, from I've been reading more about Batman's history, it's evocative of an era where they was a willingness for him to be more economically used & in a supporting role who shows up a "one of the villains" that makes his mark rather having this obligatory expectation to be the main event.
To clarify, just in case, I didn't intend this comment to come off as condescending by assuming that you're not familiar with all of this or that's the reason why Joker being a supporting role in a story with Calendar Man + Al Falcone & Amity Arkham, I'm just offering why it's 100% sensible for me and why possibly it might be for others.

It would make no sense since Arkham origins are events before Arkham asylum an Arkham origins 2 would just be an Arkham asylum unless they make what happened in the game a few years before asylum but a few years after origins which nothing significant nothing really happened so it wouldn’t make sense cause origins is that start of Batman and origin 2 taking place a few years out is just Arkham asylum
@@Abusaccoh2004 there is a 9 year time gap between origins and asylum. Multiple rogues have not been introduced, and 0 sidekicks were shown outside of AO multiplayer, and the fact that dick has a side mission in AK and that’s it, there’s plenty to do in that time-frame. In that time, batgirl, dick, Jason, and Tim are introduced, Jason dies, Barbara is crippled, Harvey becomes two face, and scarecrow and catwoman are also introduced, being pivotal characters in the story.

There's something really special about the idea of spending Act 1 in Gotham, then Act 2 starts up with an insular mission in Metropolis, almost teasing the idea, then BOOM. Just straight up open world Metropolis City. That would just be really hype.

If I could suggest a post-game side mission, Mad Hatter catching and brainwashing White Rabbit to make her a part of his growing “Wonderland Gang.” The gang can also include a brainwashed Tweedle Dee and Tweedle Dumb if the Penguin side missions are completed.

One thing I would add is that as a hint to the future is that Robin fights with Escrima sticks and has weapons sort of a mix of those two. In general is fighting style being that of himself as Nightwing but just less refined
17:30 for the cat woman boss fight im thinking about the same thing as heimdall vs atreus from GoWR. he just messes with you the entire time with atreus being too slow to even hit him. There’s even a parallel since you fight heimdall later as kratos like you do with batman
Until the rug pull, when you were talking about the wimpy guy guarding the bomb (trying to avoid spoiling your story), and having just come off the 2 joke characters, I was gonna suggest making him condiment man with a mustard gas bomb.

Honestly this was one of coolest Arkham origins sequel ideas the storyline with the addition of Superman and metropolis and setting it on Valentine’s Day and having 2 separate story’s with Batman and robin eventually connecting and Harley first appearance sounds cool wish this was the Real game sequel and the name Arkham bonds for this origins sequel sounds cool wish this game was real but maybe someday someone might make it

Touching on the whole “crazy loon” thing that you brought back from Asylum, those weren’t crazy just to be crazy, they were a direct result/failures of Hugo Strange’s experiments to make the TYGER guards for Arkham City.

How do the three Penguin side missions work if the player does them after Mission 20? You're supposed to be working with Penguin for those, right?
Good question, so while Penguin and Batman’s alliance is what initiated these side missions, Penguin actually isn’t involved in any of them directly. So there are 3 missions, each for Humpty Dumpty, the Tweedles, and Killer Moth. Batman deals directly with them for each mission. To address the issue post mission 20, I think there just needs to be some slight dialogue tweaks to make it make sense. Batman still wants to take down Falcone hideouts, these villains still want Batman’s help. It could be as simple as Killer Moth contacting Batman and saying “Despite Cobblepot’s feelings about what went down at the Lounge, I could still use your help.” Something along those lines

It was a brilliant video, the story plan was fantastic and did such a great job incorporating lots of characters from the comic lore
Man you crammed a LOT of villains into that endgame. That leaned pretty heavily into fanfic territory tbh, but in the best way possible, especially since it's a good way to utilize existing models and mechanics like Origins did. Just turning Gotham into a villain playground for the likes of Crazy Quilt, Ratcatcher, Clayface, Scarecrow, Joker, Harley, Poison Ivy, and Calendar Man is one heck of a finale (basically just the whole assassin gallery from Origins, not counting the earlier minor villains). Admittedly it's a bit too much on the whole, but I'd still love it to happen. I do love that Calendar Man was the big bad in the end though, some due justice for him.

Might I just say I love the father-son dynamic you gave Bruce and Dick in this story. The whole “if I ask Alfred, the same question will he say the same thing“ part is definitely the kind of thing a parent would say to their kid.

Lock up is a great idea for a unique mission kinda like in no man’s land when he helped Batman incarcerate all the captured criminals. And prometheus might b my favorite Batman villain so I’d love that

I feel like the White Rabbit should actually show up in the finale. If she’s going to be showing up in the over world there should be more of a pay off beyond Calendar man just telling us she was working for him the entire time. Give the player the satisfaction of finally catching her having spent the entire game seeing her just out of reach.

I am 20 minutes in. I don't know if anyone spoke about this or if you address this later on in the video, or even if I'm missing something about Arkham Origins 1. The thing that just through me off was that you mentioned Batman contacting Oracle. In the Arkham Series she doesn't become Oracle until well after Tim Drake is around. The Batgirl Dlc in Arkham Knight is a flashback of Batgirl and Tim going after Joker or Harley at the amusement park (sorry I don't remember the story exactly) but it was definitely Barbara and Tim so having Oracle be around in this story changes the series entirely.
No worries, I've addressed this in a few other comments so you're definitely not the only one confused. In this timeline, I'm essentially having Barbara start her partnership with Batman as Oracle, then she becomes Batgirl after he finally begins to train her, likely not too long after the events of this game. From there she's Batgirl for years and years until eventually you know what happens, then she readopts her Oracle identity from her earlier days. It's something I've made up, I don't think it contradicts any established canon, and personally it just makes more sense to me. I can't see Batman just outright training Barbara from the get-go, but she is determined to help right when Batman meets her in Origins so I think it's likely she'd essentially force herself into the team anyway she can
Haven't watched the whole video, but a side mission could be facing off against Prometheus since he's the opposite of Batman

@@GameDenColor True true. He is a bit of a higher tier villain if you write him well, but the sidemissions should definitely explore the more lower tier villains of Batman, since the Arkham games didn't really dive deep into a lot of them except (Professor Pyg, Man-Bat and Deacon Blackfire).

Not going to lie the Metropolis part of this concept was by far my favorite. Especially seeing Batman encounter the Intergang and Interrogating Bruno Mannheim was so cool

Don’t usually comment but I just had to say how great this was! Back in the time when the Arkham games were consistently coming out I remember coming up with my own stories & missions for my own Arkham games just like this video! Really took me back. This story was so well put together with such attention detail to keep to the Arkham canon, really enjoyed listening to it and picturing playing it! Liked how u put scenes from the games that correlated with what u were picturing for your own game! Excited to watch the side mission video and see your video on a third game in a fantasy Origins trilogy!

Like by the time of Asylum it's implied Batman and Joker have been at it for a while. Thus, there's a lot of room for stories set between the first time Batman captures Joker and the last time.
Wouldnt Oracle not make sense at this time since Barbara was batgirl while Tim was Robin therefore she would have been batgirl before Oracle?
He might just be referring to her as Oracle here to establish that she's skilled in information retrieval.
Maybe I should've explained that more. In my mind, I think this Barbara would get involved with Batman in more of an information support role at first. It makes more sense than him jumping from Origins to outright training a complete stranger. So in my headcanon anyway, Barbara starts off as Oracle then becomes Batgirl and then returns to the role of Oracle once again
I think this was awesome I loved it from beginning to end I would definitely play this game I'm a batman/batfamily super fan and you have definitely inspired me to write my own batman stuff thank you very much for what you do.
I love how you understood calendar man wanting to do extravagant and over the top crimes where everyone knows that he did them. and this vid was rlly great but im not sure about the various comedic parts which make it look more like a movie than a game

Not gonna lie I’ve brainstormed my own game before when I have slow days at work and prometheus is my ultimate main villain of choice. He’d b so good at manipulating everything for his own ambitions while also being able to offer an incredible combat boss fight against Batman
@@thestrongestnerd4284 yeah for me my re write would've put together what Azrael said and make it serious by having Prometheus Literally have Gotham in flames via him gathering EVRY Batman villain together while mainly using scarecrow and hush as the main hitters he'll still use plenty of the others as side hitters to push Batman at his limit at one night and maybe having Batman finally use the bat family and them all having to take on the ominous threat of Prometheus as scarecrow tests if Batmans willing to cross the line to murder criminals and hush tests Batman to stop him before he ruins the image of Bruce Wayne then for Prometheus he's a bigger bigger threat where he acts like a mix between Arkham origins Deathstroke and Arkham city Mr freeze as he treats Batman as the prey and Batman has to work his way through it And maybe it ending with a cool hand to hand combat scene (all while Batman is in blue and grey to represent he's at his PEAK as THE BATMAN)

My only comment is that I feel there should have been more of an actual fight with the Riddler. I know he's not usually known for combat, but you did mention a drill mech. I could see him remotely controlling that, and maybe triggering environmental hazards like mines or electrified hooks in the ceiling. Make it less about pummeling him and more about getting to him first, then you can hit him a few times. If he's going to actually be part of the main story for once, might as well make the most out of it
On further thought, I also feel that the way you laid out the wedding level, Mad Hatter would work better as the villain than Scarecrow. No hallucinations, just mind control and bringing out the worst in people. Yes, that leaves Crane as a loose end, but maybe you could tie him into the post game Ivy mission, have his lab be the one that she raids at the end?
The prologue set reminds me of a batman book I used to have from fisher price or something,where tims final test to become robin is being tested by hiding the entire night from bruce before he suddenly spots like an assault or something,but decides to go after him to discover that the person who robbed the other was Bruce,making the test not if he can hide,but if he is willing to fail his original task to save someone
I like this a lot. Especially with the use if the villains like White Rabbit and The Ventriloquist!

A huge missed oppurtunity imo is not exploring harvey dent in this ideal game (especially since 2 face is just a run of the mill mob boss and so under urilized in the arkham games) if you ever make a sequel to this video id suggest adding harvey and his eventual decline although having him be in this and not turn heel till the 3rd game would be awesome.

A bit late to this video but this is actually the best written pitch for a comic book game that I’ve ever seen. I could easily see this adapted into a mini series, as a game it would be spectacular
For Robin gameplay, they could utilize some aspect of him being smaller than Batman and being able to do missions or tasks that Batman can't get to due to his size. Like a vent he can't fit through, but Robin can. This could be used in a similar way as the Batmobile is used, where you need to use the Batmobile for a portion and Batman for a portion of a task.
Love how this wasn't just a Batman story but Batman and Robin Story
Correct me if I’m wrong but I’m guessing that Roger Craig Smith and Josh Keaton would be reprising their roles as Batman and Robin, correct? And would Batman and Robin be wearing the same costumes they wore in Arkham Origins? They were both pretty badass suits if you ask me
I'll be honest--I'd play the crap out of this game. I particularly love that Joker was kept to a minimum. I don't mind that the previous four games Joker was the center of attention because the Arkham series up to that point was about the Batman/Joker conflict, but four games is PLENTY. Moving on is good, and this story is a good showcase that a non-Joker centric game can work, and you don't even miss him being front and center.
I think the only thing that was a little jarring was the semi-realism in the first 2/3rds of the story with the Penguin/Falcone power struggle, then it gets into a little more outlandish (and familiar Arkham territory) with Calendar Man, etc. Even so, I didn't mind. It was a great plot and I think the Origins era is where Montreal should have gone after Rocksteady moved on from the base Arkham series instead of Gotham Nights.
So yes, do write your Origins trilogy-ender, please.
