A Farm Update; The Mastiif X Dane Pups are Adopted, Thank you and Comments

- We wanted to share a few things along with some thank yous. A bit of an update, whilst we’ve been posting each day and farm life hasn’t changed, we’ve had a break for a week from comments and feel like we need to share an update.
At the end of the video we talk about ‘how’ we are going to trial managing comments moving forward, also ‘why’ we’re trying to manage it better and how we want to redirect all that time into more rescue work.
We also wanted to say thanks to Bob from the US, Catherine from Canada, Maryann and Gaylene for donating boxes of The Butcher’s Dog for the doggies here at the farm.
Also thanks to someone or some people who nominated Luke for an Australia Day award, thank you very much, Luke is really honoured to receive that.
Also thank you to a lovely anonymous person who sent us a chocolate voucher and Tilly and Lexi’s mum who made us delicious soup … the support we feel from this community is something special.
And finally thank you to everyone for being patient with us as we manage our way through everything. We’re trying to do our best but we are just a small family, there is no big team or organisation behind us giving us advice or managing things behind the scenes, so we’re grateful for those that simply share words of support, encouragement and understanding. Though I think both you and Sam deserve medals for the bottomless love you give all the animals at the farm. When I was a little girl I saw the animated Disney movie 101 Dalmatians. At the end of the flick the main humans bought a Dalmatian Plantation for all their dogs. Viewing your videos now at 67 years old , especially the puppy ones, gives me the same excited, happy feeling I got back then. Thanks for rejuvenating the child in me.

Don't apologize for no comments sometimes I imagine some of them can be a bit much to deal with. So glad that you are open now, will accept that if its turned off, its your time and lives that are involved and you do actually know better than 99% of viewers, and when you don't you seek help. The full time and I mean 24 hrs a day that you put into the Dogs and Family is more important and so wonderful and enthusiastic. since you mentioned doing a Children's book....why not make a series of them with each dog getting a book of its own, for example bandit boy goes to the farm, or cutie pie goes to the big smoke, goldilocks and the 3 german shepherds , Freedo buys a new bow tie, clearly I've given this a lot of thought. Lol. I think its a great idea something you should look into for sure.

Thank you all for all you do for humans and dogs alike! The neatest thing accomplished by DDFT in addition to the joy to dogs and their owners is knowing the joy shared by the fans around the world including school children and elderly in assisted living and dementia care.

I am so amazed at all that you guys accomplish. With all of the work you do with the dogs and animals and farm responsibilities your family is always right up front. A day does not go by without you all spending great family time together....playing, eating, etc. You are an inspiration to us all!
You're entitled to curate your comments any way you choose! Was so lovely to see the great families the Mastiff Danes have gone home with. They've had so many experiences in life that will stand them in good stead. Have been guffawing that the antics of the other puppies. Those cattle dogs are solid little bulldozers! But the Staffies might be smaller, but I think they take the prize for persistence. They're all so strong now. Sweet little Miss Violet, bless her heart she can't help provide some comical moments. But she's getting so confident with so many doggy and human watchers around, and she's a determined little scrap. The way she went after that food was quite something.
Once they all hit that little adventure playground it's going to be hilarious.
Luke, anyone who follows this wonderful site will know that you , Sam and all the team have 100% got the dogs needs first and what you guys achieve is amazing. You are my go to feel good site every day .

Seeing dogs having the time of their lives just makes me happy. Dogs have filled my life with so much joy. One reason that I love your videos is that I see joy brought to dogs from all situations. Some dogs from loving families, some from challenging situations and some just starting their lives. Regardless of what their situation is, once they hit the Farm they are on the road to greater happiness. And that is awesome.
P.S. A belated Happy Australia Day! So happy for the Dane puppies getting their forever homes; congratulations to Luke for his nomination for the Australian Day Award; well deserved.

Hi All,
I’m one of the members and very proud of it too. It is the only channel I am a member of on CZcams. I signed up to support the rescue dog work Luke and Sam are doing. Something they didn’t mention in this video is that they are using the monthly CZcams membership fee to fund this work. It’s not covering their costs now but they are hopeful that as membership grows it will sometime in the future.
For those of you who are interested in joining, it’s worth noting that can you only do so through the CZcams website accessed via your browser and not from the CZcams app. It took me a while to figure that one out ;o)

@Guinevere you need to sign into CZcams via the web. Then go to DDFT channel and go to membership tab at the top and that will give you the option to join. Once joined you can access all the behind the scenes etc from the CZcams app. Feel free to reply here if you have any issues 🙂

It is wonderful the pups have new homes. Both you and the rescue organisation have done outstanding work in both helping find homes and showing people how rescue animals are not 'broken' and they deserve to be given a chance to have a home.

Anyone can see that you are experts in your field of caring for and training dogs. I have never seen a healthier and happier group of dogs! The dogs just adore you Uncle Luke and certainly see you as pack leader. The amount of work it must take to care for the dogs, care for your land and property and be parents must be astronomical! And its no-one business where your money comes from. You work hard enough that should be a mute point. God bless you and your human and canine families!

For those interested in becoming a member, I have wanted to become a member for the longest time, but I could never find a join button when i was on my android phone or android tablet. Finally when i was on my rarely used laptop, the join button appeared, and i was finally able to join as a member.
