Most of us, receive calls from real estate brokers. Asking us whether we have any properties for sale or if we are interested in investing in properties in Dubai.
Most of these calls are very annoying specially if we don’t own any properties.
And for people who own a property, they get surprised that how they got their contact details.
This is called Direct Telemarketing or Cold Calling.
What you should know is that the government of Dubai has urged real estate brokers, to stop making cold calls. Otherwise, they will face penalties.
Direct telemarketing could be through SMS, calls and WhatsApp messages. All of which is a violation of the law.
And RERA is the authority that you can lodge your complaint about this kind of marketing.
