It's still hilarious how the "Should have drafted MHJ at 3!" Or, "We need talent, take the Vikings deal" people were taking victory laps after Drake's 1st practice when Mayo said he had a lot to work on. Typical coach speak telling the fans don't have otherworldly expectations for this 21 year old QB in his 1st year, even though he was the #3 pick, and now he's actually challenging Jacoby to be the starter even though Jacoby has a massive head start not just experience wise, having had a couple years of good quarter-backing, but knowing AVP and the system. Speaks to Drake's incredible work ethic. I wouldn't mind him starting right away if we actually had a good oline, or at least 1 star WR who can get open quick but I'm not taking any chances this year. Maybe after the bye, because it's a pretty easy 4 games pass defense wise and Drake can get some NFL experience before taking the reins in his 2nd year. Hopefully we'll luck into a stud LT with the top 5-8 pick we'll get, and be able to pay a shit ton for Aiyuk or Higgins to join a 2nd year Polk and Pop Douglas entering his prime. There's a real chance this team goes from 4-5 wins this year to 10 wins the following year

Great video! I'm not sure I agree that Juju will start in the slot. I think Pop Douglas has that on lockdown with an impressive rookie season. Reports I've heard say he looks even more elusive this year, through OTAs and mini camp.

Maye has the potential to be a top 5 guy. Just depends if he can overcome the lack of talent on that team early on in his development years. Gonna be tricky

I hope for the best for Maye, but as a Pats fan I know our receivers & O line are very underwhelming to put it politely. I feel like that is going to make it difficult for him to succeed despite his talent.

I was a solid take either Daniels or Maye, whichever was there. I am feeling better and better about how this draft played out. Pats donkeyed their first WR choice AGAIN. But not as badly as in the past. At least I have HOPE!!!

DRAKE IS 2 pick he should be starting week one! He needs to gain experience and let him struggle so he can learn the speed of the game and also go through headaches! Watching will only gain mental side of it.

Jacoby is solid. Lets see how the oline plays and the WRs develop. I don't think teams are patient enough to sit and learn with rookie QBs.

Sit to start, assess line! Reality of having the legit future Take a Mahommes year, +add a 2nd......pay WR, build LT+D but a sucure line will b key, Maye able to elevate those around. Still feel Polk is being overlooked(Dhop clone) so similiar to Brian T jr. Nabers overshadowed. Well, Rome was Polks' shade! Prob was next best possession WR after BRIAN jr/Worthy. Think the security blanket/Chain mover. If signed Ceedee/Tee, think would have complete room. Baker being an outside X while Tee/Ceedee(the must have 1rst) become Slot While Pop becomes a gadget. Think trading for Godwin would make Elite. Slot/Seam, then move Pop everywhere/use presnap w/ and becomes our Gadget. Tee/Ceedee fit great but until know lines secure> the draft looks more fruitful. Ju Ju sucks and should not be on the roster -- If he has perceived value, they should trade him and others to get a starting caliber left tackle. All this idiotic talk about how great Maye is or how good the receivers look, even if accurate, is completely meaningless as when they put on pads, they will all suck because the o-line is pathetic. Same old story as the last 2 years & still not addressed and everyone ignores and talks about qb & receivers -- Put Brady, Gronk, & Edelman out there with this o-line and the pats will be sub 500 team.
