Lovely Bigbore on the #317 Zeke! Thank you for the footage. I find the #317 sounding closer to the #314 more then anything. I do have one more F40 request for the time being until I find more that I'm interested in seeing. That would be the footage of the #378 with it's original Bigbore.
@@wmuzeke Hopefully this isn't too much to ask, but I've gone back and looked within the footage I've archived of these specific F40s and wanted to ask if you could upload your collections of them as well. Please don't feel pressured to do this sir I've just been trying to log and find samples of nearly all the AMTK F40s that are available, and I can't stop myself lol. The next requests I have are for 249, 252, 266, 267, 277, 280, 283, 284, 285, 286, 288, 293, 294, 302, 312, 320, 326, 328. Only if you have more footage for them, and no worries at all if you don't. These will likely be my last requests for sometime until I find anymore F40PH whistle details. Again don't feel pressured to do any of this, and thank you very much for your effort, and historic collections!
No, not too much at all. Can't stop yourself - haha. I've been there. For 252, 267, 277, 283-286, 288, 293 326, & 328 I don't have any other footage or recordings with them leading other than what's in the compilation videos. For the other 7 you listed, according to my spreadsheet, I have at least one more audio and/or video recording that aren't in the F40 compilations. For 249, there is a recording of its 1983 horn in my "Amtrak 1983 Wolverine Reroutes" video. For 326 there is footage in the "Wellsboro & La Porte IN trains - 7-15-1992," but not much horn action. I rode behind both 249 and 294 in 1986 and do have some on-board audio recorded from the Superliner vestibule, similar to the one I have on here of 264. But anyway I'll get to those when I can and add them to the cue. Thanks for your interest.
302 will be next. 294 - the only other audio I have of it is on board The Eagle in 1986 and the recording isn't that great. It's mostly track noise and wind. You can hear the best sample of it in the beginning of Vol. 4. Just thought I'd keep you updated on my F40 projects!

You are welcome. The footage and audio recordings on my F40 Volume 8 video is all I have of 378. It had that unusual K5LA in 1984.
