Die Tödliche Doris are still widely considered one of the most radical, intelligent and influential German avant-garde bands of the last two decades.

War auch damals herbe Kost, wie auch frühe DAF Tracks, oder alles von Neubauten. Trotzdem geil und erhaltenswert als Erinnerung und Lehrbeispiel. Siehe Nomi oder early Numan.

I just saw the name of this band in the New Order video for 'Temptation'. It was there among the records and slots with band names for a brief second as the French girl was perusing them, so I decided to check them out. Have I mentioned that my mother's name is also Doris? Well, there you have it. :)

I never knew they were in a New Order video. That's pretty awesome for Die Toedliche Doris, I wonder if it was on purpose, or if it was just an accidental cameo.

@@EvilCat-EnergyCatalyst If it were someone from the band, I would guess Bernard Sumner. He worked with other experimental German musicians and bands based in West Berlin in the early '80s. He also tried to cultivate a certain 'German' look, with his haircut and clothes- even the name 'New Order' is very revealing...

OH, John Peel's Music on BFBS, JAAA! Das war super! :D Die kann man online anhören weisst du das? Mit John Peel's Stimme, die ganze Sendungen. Es gibt 'ne Seite die heisst "The perfumed garden-John Peel....." es gibt ganze Sendungen von den 70-ern bis zu den 90-ern!

Ich hab nach NDW songs gesucht und hab nur den Namen gelesen und dachte mir schon "Moment mal ... Tanz im Quadrat? Ich kenn doch "Wir tanzen im Viereck" und Tatsache ... Da gibt es doch tatsächlich ein Original haha
ist ja nur einer... hast wohl die Gnade der späten Geburt? Ich mag auch die Bücher von Francoise Cactus. Die Tödliche Doris war wirklich tödlich. Dieser Song ist ja noch hörbar, bei anderen wurde es sehr anstrengend, lach.
