      I like the Tineco S5! Edge cleaning will be great! Coz I'm still using my iFloor from Tineco + a cheapo $25 handheld convertible to mimicking stick vacuum device that with long wire (got it like some years ago from Giant) to do my weekly vacuuming before using iFloor to do mop + further vacuuming. I'm super keen in spot cleaning device that can clean mattress & sofa + the EcoVacs robo vacuum with self empty station... I was looking at IRIS OHYAMA's, not sure if you are aware if that brand's mattress cleaner is good or not?

    Using Dyson V12 Detect Slim, Tineco Floor One S5 & Roborock S7 MaxV Ultra. Pretty happy with my cleaning set-up.
    Dyson finally solves my longstanding issue with hair tangling inside the roller. I was really amazed cos all my previous handheld cordless vacuum had the huge problems with human harir.
    Roborock does a pretty good job with cleaning and mopping as well. This is my first robot vacuum cleaner. I was surprised by how good their obstacle avoidance system is.
    I only use Tineco once every 2 weeks or so. It cleans well and makes the floor smells nice. But, I think it is a bit too heavy.

Personally I love to have Ecovas X1 Omni for daily cleaning schedule, tineco A11 for handheld vacuuming and Eluxgo Magic Mop Z9+ for handheld mopping. I have a robot vacuum (Samsung Powerbot), a robot mop (iLife W400), and cordless vacuum (Dyson V10). I particularly enjoy using the iLife W400 as it has a clean and dirty water tank ON the machine itself, thus the mopping is very clean. Another advantage is that it leaves no water marks on tiles as the machine has a scrapper. The downside is that it is unable to dock or change water by itself unlike the Ecovacs X1 Omni.

    Alex thanks for the video. I currently have a similar setup as yours I.e. daily vacuum robot + weekly Dyson V8 + weekly B&D steam mopping. I am intrigued by the Bissell. You mentioned that it is a loud machine, but is the noise also high pitch? I ask this because I’ve borrowed an Iris Oyhama spot cleaner and it was just too deafening for me (loud high pitch noise). It was also very tiring to do just my 3-seater sofa. Is the Bissell comfortable to use for cleaning your area rug/carpet weekly?

    • @AlexTeo
      @AlexTeo  Před 2 lety +1

      not high pitch just loud which I think is common for such appliance. For carpet, I use the bigger brush. If doing it weekly, it won't be very dirty and take me about 10mins to clean my rug

    Hey, nice video again. If I need to hire a domestic helper to do some ad-hoc cleaning for my house, which equipment would be better? I'll be getting a robot vacuum with mop function to do the regular floor cleaning. I'm a person with physical disability and my mum is getting older, hence would be considering getting a helper to clean the bathroom, ceiling fan, sofa, wipe cabinet and kitchen countertop, etc. Should I get those techy equipments such as steam mop, wet and dry vacuum, dreame handheld vacuum, etc? Or it's better to go old school using basic mop and broom?
    I'm not really sure if engage a domestic cleaner, do I need to supply all the cleaning supplies. If you have any experience on this, can help to advise? Thanks a lot.

    • @AlexTeo

      you are able to find either type of services, I will prefer those we provide the cleaning supplies ourselves so basically we decide how to clean. I suggest something that is easy to use, the last thing you want is them spoiling the equipment. Get something like the samsung bespoke jet that I shared, cordless vacuum with a variety of attachments that can do mopping as well, no need to get the auto cleaning station if budget constraint, there are cheaper options

  • @moltenbullet
    @moltenbullet Před 2 lety +1

    My key takeaway is, I clean so much better and thoroughly with a standard mop and pail of water. Mopping quite quite therapeutic actually... Takes about an hour once or twice a week? I find sweeping annoying, but mopping helps catch and gather dust and hair, and then i come in with my dyson afterwards to vacuum everything up.

    • @AlexTeo
      @AlexTeo  Před 2 lety +8

      using pail to me is like rinsing the mop with dirty water and putting it back to the floor, not a fan of that. Your sequence is a bit odd, normally people will vacuum first then mop

    • @weelingchew8842
      @weelingchew8842 Před 2 lety

      Its actually not gd to mop then vac. The mop will drag the dust/particles ard and scratch yr flooring, esp hardwood and marble. Pls do the reverse.

    • @moltenbullet
      @moltenbullet Před 2 lety

      @@AlexTeo ahh, I use two pails of water. A soap pail and a rinse pail (essentially the same thing that the machine is doing). I mean, I guess one could then say that the mop head itself is "dirty", but that could be said for any cleaning apparatus (table rags, body sponges and scrubs, dish sponges and scrubs, brooms, vacuum heads etc.)

    • @moltenbullet
      @moltenbullet Před 2 lety

      @@weelingchew8842 ah, perhaps why I never noticed is because I don't use marble or hardwood or even vinyl floors. Just ordinary textured porcelain tiles. To clarify, it's not that I don't sweep or vacuum first before mopping - I just follow through again after mopping to catch stuff like hair, which is often easy to miss in sweeping but easily caught and pulled out when mopping.

    S5 was terrible for me, left bad smells and I did my best at cleaning it after each use 😅… it’s only a mop so doing normal vacuuming tasks wasn’t an option without leaking dirty or rather smelly water on my floor or area rug. Thanks for your videos! I really like the dreame review.

      Oh its leaking water?? Probably a faulty unit man. For the dreame, i will recommend their latest L10s model instead
