- Best Buy has started to phase out their physical media because the Disney 4k Steelbooks are on sale for only $10!!!! I have to go and check this out!!!!
As a massive movie fan, I love physical media and believe in keeping it alive! Every Tuesday I go blu-ray/steelbook hunting at Best Buy, Target, Walmart or Barnes & Noble to see what new release blu-rays or classic films I can find!

Who wants Cars ??!! That is my two Grandsons favorite..
Hellyeah sue I bought some Disney steel book maddness for my wife. Totally worth it!!
Glad i waited for these Disney books to drop
My Best Buy was cleaned out of the Disney releases. I managed to pick up Cars, Moana, and Cinderella as well as some of the others on clearance. Nice haul, would have loved to get Little Mermaid and Iron Man you had available there.
I got Cinderella it’s the only one that I can physically go and pickup most are sold out online I’m going to check another Best Buy before work tomorrow!
This was such an amazing sale I didn’t have any of those 4K discs luckily my Best Buy had ALL of them ! I got one of each all 17 and just now sold the codes so they ended up being about $5 each after that ! Crazy !!!
Lucky I went to get them all and they had none all sold out

I do not like Best Buy phasing physical media out! And I just received this notice now.... ...when I got back from regular shopping. I HAVE to go back, and this time.... BEST BUY!!!! Thank you Sue!!!! Happy Holidays!!!!
I'm devastated. I just found out about these today, and there isn't a single Best Buy within 2 hours from me that still has any in stock.
They are all pretty cleared out now, they went fast. Maybe shows Best Buy that there's a lot of interest in physical media still...
Try online.
Got Encanto, Beauty and the Beast, Little Mermaid and The Little Mermaid (latest release $20) ordered online late Friday picked up in-store on Sat. Glad I ordered online cause the shelves were bare Saturday.
I had to return yet another Best Buy 4k steelbook from Best Buy. it came warped. this wAS equalizer 3. out of 10 steelbooks. I had to return 7
My local BestBuy had limited quantities I picked up Little Mermaid, Moana, Frozen, Cinderella, Nightmare Before Christmas and Iron Man. Didn’t own half of these and only had Blu on the other half so was a great deal for new pickups and upgrades.
As of 1/8/24 most of these steel books are $9.99 on the website. I just purchased like $200 dollars worth of movies
I bought my wife Cinderella, aladdian, and the lion king .
Oppenheimer Steelbooks are out again.
I was only able to get lion king and Cinderella I wanted Moana Aladdin and little mermaid but all they had was frozen lion king and Cinderella
What ! Cars is amazing
I've heard many people say they don't like Cars!
Still can't believe my Best Buy movie trips will become a thing of the past. 😢😢😢😢😢 Getting just about every blu ray from Amazon now will feel so, soulless....
Yeah and I hate amazon 😢
I mean I picked up Cars, I personally enjoy Cars.
Cars is indeed a great movie
Cars is one of the best Pixar movies. Would have picked it up if I was living in the US
The First Cars is an excellent movie and a nice steelbook.
Same! My store has ONE copy left and I went ahead and grabbed it.
Glad Best Buy no more physical media, I go to Newington & got the Nightmare Before Christmas Steelbook 2 of them because I knew it was selling out. & both scratched disc from factory store only exchange if in stock & would not help contacting disney for a disc exchange. Felt Best Buy Robbed me. Not gonna miss them
Best Buy wasn't the best but it isn't like a major retailer getting out of physical movies is good for physical media. Best Buy had problems but they were starting to clean up their act and shipping steelbooks in boxes. Amazon is going to use envelopes still I know... I have a bad feeling it may be the end of physical media formats in the next few years now.
Sorry that happened.
I picked up the Star Wars trilogy, Coco & Moana for $50+ tax. Hate the steels, love the price. Got a digital copy + 4K for $10 a piece? A no brainer!
I LOVEEEE Cars!! Personally, it's one of my top 3 favorite Pixar movies of all time! 2 and 3 are easily forgettable though.
Solid pick ups Sue. Can’t really beat $10 for a Disney 4K Steelbook. Too bad it’s the end of an era at Best Buy though 😔
Great commentary several moments I was cracking up. I went to the 3 closest Best Buys picked up most of the $10 Cinderella, The Little Mermaid, Moana, Coco, Frozen, Lion King, Cars, Toy Story, and Iron Man. Aladdin was a little beat up so passed and am debating trying online order. Some were double dips on 4K so might try to get rid of the other one and keep the steel version. My sweet spot is $10 for movies so spending alot of money at Best Buy with the recent sales.
Thanks for watching!
What’s going to happen with the Best Buy exclusive steelbooks (MCU etc.)
Walmart/Amazon
Looks like Walmart is taking over.
They were completely out of all the Star Wars steel books I was so bummed. When all the stores get rid of all their movies where will we be able to buy them? Are they gonna stop making physical discs?
Walmart, Amazon, Gruv, Hamilton Book, Boutique Labels.
Hey Sue, with Best Buy getting rid of physical media, is there any chance that Walmart might end up getting 4K steel books?
Yes
Criterion movies & Sue 🎉🎉
well they will be sorry when there sales are lacking in 2024
Avatar way of water 4k steel book was also on sale for only $19.99 great price
do you think steel books will be around in the net 5 to 10 years?
$14.99 I'll consider
I knew these steel books were going to hit clearance prices eventually. They are just so bland and dull-looking. Just a terrible design choice.
They were homages to the Disney Treasures DVD collections.
@@dogmd7 I would have much preferred those upgraded to Blu-ray to celebrate Disney 100.
@@BobbyMcGee_2023 That would have been great! Lots of those never got released again and are unavailable on streaming anywhere.
Can’t believe nobody wants these because they don’t like the picture on the front
Well they flew out the shelves pretty quick. I guess people would pay $10 for it. My best buy only had 1 copy left of Cars and 3 copies of Cinderella left. They rest was sold out. I went ahead and grabbed that last copy of Cars!
You didn't mention SOUND OF FREEDOM.
What do you mean?
@@MoviesSue It's there on the shelf, but you didn't mention it.
