@@peachteatina Great question! Their have been some very powerful people in government lobbying for the legalization of marijuana countrywide...i.e., Ex President Fox and savvy businessmen and women...currently, their work has fast tracked it through to congress, who approved the measure, but were tasked with making very clear and concise rules for sales, permits, personl possesion, medical use, etc. by April 30th, or the measure would get put on the back burner until after the elections this summer...they didn't make rhe deadline...Some speculate it was a political move to not give certain people or groups a 'win' on the matter. Locally, in Vallarta, people are talking about future despensaries in the works...weed delivery to your home exists on Whatsapp, but everyone is still waiting for congress to officially give us the green light. At this point, I believe there's a handful of big companies approved for sale and distribution. Much like California law, in its early adoption phase , it was medical use first, then recreational. The small farmer may have a hard time competing will large scale grows in the future. Where will the money made in tax revenue go? The decisions made here will ultimately effect the U.S. decision to legalize on a federal level as well. A very exciting time to be in Mexico! Thanks for commenting 😉✌🏼

In my opinion, one of the reasons your channel is so popular and has grown exponentially in the last years is the fact that you show the side of travel that anybody can afford to do. After losing their jobs and surviving the pandemic, a lot of families feel that a vacation is out of the question, since their wallets are so tight right now. Budget travels is not easy in every city in Mexico, but you guys have inspired a lot of people to not be afraid and go out and see the beauty that Mexico has to offer, without having to pay and arm and a leg.
There are many youtubers that do high end and luxury travel videos. They all seem to be doing those kinds of videos because they are being sponsored, and I feel like I’m watching a commercial instead of a real-life experience. Your channel is more relatable to the general public which makes you humbler and your true passion for travel truly comes out on the screen. Luxury travel is more for the smaller population that can afford and prefer comfort more than a true adventure.

My wife and I found your channel as we are planning to retire in Mexico from Singapore. The two of you have done a great job showing us all around Mexico, introducing us to places we have little knowledge of and re-introducing us to our favourite places. It is clear that you love Mexico and have been very good ex-pat ambassadors for this lovely country. I see that you are looking to expand your channel to look at the luxury that Mexico has to offer. May I be so bold as to offer a suggestion? It is clear that you love the history and culture of Mexico; I would love to see you take that aspect and dive deeper to give us a greater connection to this rich history and culture. Some of the videos I have enjoyed most are when you feature local shop owners/restaurant owners/real people and unique aspects of the places you have shown us.
Keep up the great work, stay genuine and may your lives be full of blessings.

If I decide to become a Mexico snowbird, it will be in the less expensive places (besides which, I'm not into beach resorts), so I hope you keep emphasizing the less expensive options. How about a feature on long-distance bus travel? I've heard that there are "luxury" buses in Mexico that are not expensive by North American standards for travel between cities. What are they like? I'd also like to hear more from expats in different cities. What is it like to be an expat in Mexico City, in Merida, in Morelia, in Valladolid, in other cities?

When I get nostalgic, I like watching videos about Mexico, and let me tell you, your videos are some of the ones I most love, because you show me all that I know, through different eyes. Of course sometimes you make a statement based on an experience, that is not very accurate, because it was based just in one experience; Mexico is surreal and every corner of the same square might be a different experience... but I love you two and I love your videos. Also, one of the things I have always loved about MX is that it isn't what a lot of people think it is--many see either border towns or coastal cities but in fact it offers so much richness in it's culture, history, architecture, people, etc. in the rest of MX. In showcasing some of the higher end parts of MX, , especially in QRO and surrounding "pueblo magicos", there is so much to see and spend time doing--from the festivals to historical hotels/missions, from art, music (Danzon on a Sunday night in the Jardin principal!), food, artisans and so much more--you will be doing MX a great honor by bringing those things to the forefront so the rest of the world can begin to understand all the beauty that is MX. "Video it and they will come"--thanks for sharing my second home--Queretaro!
