- On our listener success segment this week we talk with Matt McGill of Texas about a buck he was able to tag last season on some east TX public. We go over the story of "chicken foot" and how Matt was able to narrow down a very large piece of the public to find the thicket this buck liked to hang out in!
We then transition over to listener Q&A's:
Best ways to get bucks on camera in summer (without bait or minerals)
Minimizing your ground scent by making your footprint smaller
Example of a good career path for someone who wants to hunt a lot

One of the best pieces of advice I got from the podcast early on was picking a piece of ground and making my own. I literally block off 500 acres that I know can be promising and absolutely beat it to death and learn it. Probably one of my top 3 pieces of advice I apply as a rule of thumb! I have found that 4-500 acres is a perfect size to be able to learn, manage your pressure, and still stay on them
I have done this same thing, but slowly explain my block bigger and bigger as each season goes
@@PrimalFrameOutdoors exactly, you will find yourself drifting as you learn more and more but the point is you’ve got a foundation for that property, then you can expand!
