- This week the two of us react to IGOR. Well, actually, I react to the album and my sister just relistens to it, since she apparently heard all the songs several times beforehand.
Sorry for the late upload, this was filmed last week but we only got around to finalizing the video later on. However, I can now say that this album is much nicer to listen to as a whole rather than with continuous interruptions. I especially liked the 3-4 last songs quite a lot.

The two things I love most about this album are the production and the story! I didn't catch it first listen but the album follows the story of how Tyler fell in love with this guy but the guy has a girlfriend, so it's his journey through heartbreak. And you're right about New Magic Wand being angry lool since it's the part of the story where he's tired of this guy splitting his attention between Tyler & the girlfriend so he tells him to choose or he'll make her disappear with his "New Magic Wand" aka gun 😅 so yeah... pretty dark. "What's Good" is the part of the album when he's had enough of the guy stringing him along and he's basically saying "f*ck you, I don't need you, I'm the sh*t!" Then in "I Don't Love You Any More" he repeats that line but he sounds like a child throwing a tantrum so we know he doesn't really mean what he's saying. The album is a circle so the last note goes back to the first song, so Tyler is doomed to become friends with the guy again, fall in love again and have his heart broken again.
Yeah, after listening to it a few times after the reaction, I've been able to dissect the meaning a bit better. Honestly, I think the best way to listen to this album is as a whole. The production and instrumentals just blend so well, and it's easier to catch the story.
I'll also say that most of the lyrics just flew over my head upon first listen. I was so caught off guard by the background sounds that I forgot to listen to what he was actually saying haha

Loved the video! Definitely recommend listening to his other albums, mainly flower boy and call me if you get lost, flower boy is much more rap orientated but maintains the chill-ness of IGOR , call me if you get lost is like a mix of Igor and flowerboy almost

I already listened to Yeezus, and I have to agree. Black Skinhead, New Slaves, Bound 2, all classics.
