I love her CZcams videos but could you imagine if she didn’t say anything and was training in secret and then Chellsie’s name just appeared on the start list and she just competed at Classics with no one expecting it.
I think that the response to the CZcams channel is part of what made her seriously think about returning. I watched that channel early on and it felt like a progression from dabbling in it to where she ended up at the championship. I think this is part of what also led to her current position with USA gymnastics which is great. They need someone like her.

I mean her beam routine here has higher difficulty and higher execution than most NCAA gymnasts, and at this point in time Chellsie was 33 years old. Incredible athlete.

It's been a year since she has done this, and to be honest, she looks so good, or even better than what she has done a decade ago.
