TMI: SB19 is a self-producing Filipino group, known as LIVE MONSTERS, PPOP KING and do all genres. They finance their own works.
The CREATIVE DIRECTOR of this music video is the youngest member of SB19 JUSTIN. The one in the center in the ending part. He has a degree in Multimedia Arts and graduated with honors. He was already making short films before debut.
The songwriter, composer and co-producer of this is the leader of SB19 PABLO. He is the one with multicolor hair. He wrote the lyrics as a love letter to his SB19 members when he misses them during pandemic. Whenever SB19 sings this, it becomes a love song to their fandom A’tin. But Pablo also said that this message is for everyone who needs and wants to reconnect with their loved ones and to all the things they used to love.
The choreographer of this MV is the main Vocal STELL The one who did a high/round kick and has the highest voice.
The iconic rapper is JOSH. The one who played electric guitar and who did 360 while in roller skates. The purple hair.
And the main dancer is KEN. The one in red hair. He is the fashion icon of the group. And owns a clothing brand hence he is called CEO.

They need to be on American Pop radio! Their tour was very succesful in the USA, performing in NY, LA and San Francisco. They also performed on Fox5 NY where 7 million viewers saw the performance. The USA is tough to break into for Asian Artists.

When Pablo wrote WYAT I don't think he had the American audience or any other native English-speaking audience in mind particularly.When he and his brother Josue produced this song they both agreed that the sound would lend itself well to English lyrics.He did mention this in an interview. What is not commonly known to people outside of the Philippines is that there are almost just as many OPM (Original Pilipino Music)in English as in Tagalog/Filipino.The Filipino audience is used to this and doesn't think this unusual. Here's another thing,I think our short story writers in English are among the best in the world post WW II which may come as a surprise even among Pinoys.

What you hear, see and experience from SB19 is all a product of their own minds and imagination. From songwriting, composing, producing, choreography and creative direction of the music video and other artistic releases. They have full creative control of their craft and not to mention they can SING like really sing live (not dependent on back track) while dancing on point and not sacrificing the choreography. Whether the lyrics is in Filipino or English, they are the ones who write those (specifically Pablo). When they say boybands are manufactured, SB19 isn’t.
I liked how you pointed the strenghts of the song, the beats, background music etc that completes the totality of the song, and how this song can break barriers even just going through the first few minutes (intro). You provided a different insight of the song and I appreciated that. SB19 as a PPOP group created their own music, lyrics, choreographs, musical direction, & creativeness which contributed to the song being diversed yet enjoyable. Thank you. I enjoyed your RV.

Do you know what makes this song even more special? The song is composed by the leader Pablo who also produced it with his brother, Josue. The choreography was done by the main vocalist Stell. And the creative aspect of the music video, the concert and the marketing strategies was conceived by the youngest member Justin. Ken and Josh also helped by giving insights and suggestions. This is how creative and dedicated this group is.

SB19 produces/writes their own songs, choreographs even directs their own MVs. PABLO (the one with the long hair) is the leader/producer/lyricist/lead vocal/main rapper of the group, STELL (the one who belted at the end) is the main vocal/choreographer of the group, JUSTIN (the one with the headband in the arcade) is the youngest, the creative director of their MVs/sub vocal, KEN ( the one who sang first) is the main dancer and lead vocal, JOSH (the one with purple hair) is the lead rapper and sub vocal. They can do different genres from ballads to hip-hop and they are best with live performances. Hope you could also check out the solos of PABLO and KEN/Felip. PABLO with LA LUNA and FELIP with BULAN and PALAYO.

- American radio station looks like they don't want to play international songs because it's a threat to the American music industry.
What makes them really different and unique is that they produced their own songs. Their lyricist,choreographed,directed,conceptualized every little thing hands owned by #SB19 not to mentioned the budget that capabilities is not usual in every Pop groups or soloist artist coz mostly they have company or producers but the the boys had themselves,their freedom & very creative personalities I admire them deeply for that talent . English is the 2nd language in the Philippines, Filipino is the 1st (mother tongue) so it's pretty normal for PPOP, or OPM in general, to have music in full English. It's never an intention to capture Americans' hearts but it's just the feel of it that the song should be either in Filipino or English. That's how Pablo (the leader of SB19) exactly wrote that WYAT song.

SB19 is a self-producing group who write and compose their own songs, do their choreography, and conceptualize/direct their MVs. If you are already impressed with their MV, then wait until you check out their live performances. Many people have said they are even better LIVE. Those who attended their concerts are witnesses to it. SB19 don't lip sync. Their vocal ranges and harmonization as well as their energetic and synchronized dancing are their assets.

For a fact- Filipinos support music from all over the world. We're inclined to listen to all kinds of music and appreciate artists from any culture, language background or country of origin. Dude with the deep voice got it right: they did take their time perfecting this song. They field tested it at a virtual concert during lockdown and Pablo (blonde guy with the mullet) refitted (retrofitted?) it for release a year later. Awesome insightful review
