@Signe Schwartzmann children are not mature enough to make those decisions at all. Hormone therapy during puberty screws you for life if you change your mind. A tattoo is far simpler and less damaging of a decision; are we now going to let kids get tattoos? Have sex?? No. Absolutely not. They can make those decisions when they're adults.

@Oy Blech I agree. 18 years is simply too late for some individuals. I know people that developed all the secondary sex characteristics around 14-15 years of age. If such person happened to be trans, they have to live with the bodies that they don't feel comfortable with for their ENTIRE LIVES. Once development is complete, it's really difficult to revert those characteristics.

I’m a liberal Californian and pray the same passes in my state. A child has no business choosing life-altering surgical procedures just because it’s trending. Todays depressed children are exposed to things that are harmful and dangerous to their psychology. Instead of focusing on therapy and bettering themselves, they are told a quick surgical fix would help them. The neo trans people can preach whatever they want to their kids, but our children need/deserve our protection.
