What I love about your show, is that you don't saturate each show with licensed music, etc. Plenty of channels use thoughtfully chosen music but I want to hear the birds, the wind, the engine noise, and canal life. The simple pleasures of watching you slowly putt-putting down the canals, with the old engine steadily giving a relaxing heartbeat to the day make your show extremely relaxing and pleasant. The engine noise is so good, it is a wonderful piece of kit. What you do is appreciated! Thank you. I watch on Amazon Prime.
Agree fully on the music comments. I watch a lot of CZcams videos, especially car reviews, and the music in most drive me to switch channels!
BOOM BOOM BOOM,
She goes,
BOOM BOOM BOOM...
My Wife and I watched your adventures and didn't miss a moment.
She was diagnosed with cancer in October 2014, so we spent a lot of time watching TV and movies.
When we happened onto your show, we were delighted and it helped take our minds off the battle she fought day to day.
Through the pain and the setbacks, it offered great comfort to see your travels and we wished we could live that life.
Regrettably my Wife Susie lost her battle in January, but she suffers no more and I am left with the wonderful memories of the peace and comfort
we had as we spent precious time together.
Thank you sir for offering up such an interesting perspective of life that we would have never known without you.
Looking forward to season 7/whatever you put out next. I’ve been through seasons 1-6 about 5 times, I find them incredibly relaxing after a stressful day. Thanks.
Yes, very relaxing...I could watch them all day...
I'm starting over again with season 1, in Rugely...kinda fun to see these towns.
Nt4ubs ME TOO! GlennFHoward Florida
I love watching these videos too. The gentle ticking of Aslans diesel motor is very relaxing to listen to, as well watching the beautiful scenery go by.
We watch and rewatch every night before bed. Kevin and Aslan seem like friends off traveling. Can’t wait to see what’s next.
Here I am in San Diego, California and yet , through your video, I can travel around canals of the British ills' with you... …and you always make me feel like a mate. Thanks so much!
My wife, Joanne, and I recently discovered your series via Amazon, and glad we are. Your travels easily release the stresses of the day, and calm us for the sleep. God bless from the U.S.A.
Welcome aboard Bob and thank you for watching. :)
Hello from Texas! Can’t wait for season 7.....more recipes and tea, please. 🙂
Great to see you again. Good Luck with your new adventures. Looking forward to a new season of Travels by Narrowboat. Cheers!
I can't imagine what you are up to but can't wait. Congratulations.
We can't wait for your new adventures! Take care Kevin, and thanks for the update!
I’m so happy to have found Travels by Narrowboat on Amazon Prime Video! I adore the videos! Since I doubt I’ll ever be able to see the canals in person, it’s really a treat to see them through your eyes. Thank you!
Writing from the USA in New Hampshire. Just watched S5 E4. Knowing that I am getting close to the end, I am becoming gloomy. These Aslan adventures have been so enjoyable for me. Traveling at a slow, relaxed pace, enjoying the day and journey is how I like to travel. Everything about your narration and filming is excellent. I so appreciate your honesty in how you feel and the ups and downs of it all! Thank you for taking me through England! I predict the Mighty...Thank you!!!
Jennifer Peoples We watch from nextdoor (Vermont) and have the same reaction. Can’t wait for the big reveal.
Can't wait for your return! It must be a camper van series!!!! :)
Kevin, You have put yourself out there by detailing your troubles in Wigan on New Years Eve. I am glad to see that you didn't allow that experience to end your commitment to the canal life. Unlike many other canal video logs, yours to me, is the most interesting, and it shows your talent for what you do. I am an old sailor with over 50 years experience sailing the east coast of the U.S I don't sail any more, but the heart is still in it. I've read every book there is about single-handed sailors, and your story is the one I like best. And yes, I watch it every day. For purposes of the peacefulness, there is not really much difference; one type of sailing or the next. Thank you for continuing your experience. I hope it serves you well. Cheers!
Great to have you back. 😄
I too am glad to see your new haircut! Bravo!
What brilliant direction. Timing the description of your new coiffure as you passed by a series of hedges. I also like this new art form - Street Auto Photography or SAP for short. Seriously, thanks for taking us aboard on all your adventures. Looking forward to new series. God Speed.
Its great to see and hear you again Kevin.
Glad you're not packin it in.
Keep safe and dry.
I really enjoy your travels, especially now with everything that’s going on. With all the stress we have endure every day, your travels give me a sense of peace.
Thank You,
Dan from Hawaii
Well done Kev, keep up the good work. Looking forward to the next series.
You seem in great spirits considering the winter the north of England has had! I'm from Standish. nr Wigan and found it devastatingly sad that that had to be the place you got attacked. The social decline in the north seems limitless. We moved away, but not for that reason. God Bless Bill Bryson when he wrote words of kindness as he observed Wigan town albeit in the early 90's. We'll ignore his surprised undertones.
"The most remarkable thing - or perhaps the least remarkable thing, depending on how you look at it - was how neat and well looked after were the endless terraces of little houses we passed. Everything about them bespoke an air of modesty and make-do, but every stoop shone, every window gleamed, every sill had a fresh, glossy coat of paint. I took out my copy of The Road to Wigan Pier and lost myself for a bit in another world, one that occupied the same space as these little communities we were passing through but was impossibly at odds with what my eyes were telling me when I glanced up from the pages."
So I walked into the centre, a fair hike but a not unrewarding one. Such is Wigan's perennially poor reputation that I was truly astounded to find it has a handsome and well-maintained town centre. The shops seemed prosperous and busy and there were lots of public benches to sit on for the many people unable to take an active part in all the economic activity around them. Some talented architect had managed to incorporate a new shopping arcade into the existing fabric of the buildings in a simple but deceptively clever and effective way by making the glass canopy of the entrance match the line of the gables of the surrounding structures. The result was an entrance that was bright and modern but pleasantly harmonious - precisely the sort of thing I've been going on about for all these many pages - and I was delighted to think that if this sort of thing is going to happen just once in Britain that it should be in poor beleaguered Wigan.
Very excited to learn of S7, and on Amazon Prime! I totally stumbled into your content by accident, and have loved every minute of it. I’m a New England’s salt water “coastal” sailor many years now and find the contrast of canal boating fascinating. I admit I had a bit of fun at your expense as you ventured out into tidal waters for the first time, but that said, you did FINE!
I too quickly found the rhythmic sound of that lovely (and pristine!) old diesel to be amazingly hypnotic and calming. You’ve been very smart in your video composition by keeping the sound track and dialog to a minimum and slowing us to simply cruise along with you as virtual passengers!!
THANK YOU for this wonderful series! Now I need to watch for the release of your new, unknown, title!!!
I appreciate that Ed. Venturing onto the Trent for the first time, all that enters your mind is tidal currents and the (imagined) destructive horrors that await. :D
I'll watch whatever travel series you post. Car Camping, Sailing, Motorbike Tours, doesn't matter - though Aslan is, and will continue to be, what I most look forward to. Then again, I was one of those who thought I wouldn't enjoy the cooking segments and boy was I wrong about that! Your brand of travel documentary is perfectly in tune with what I, and many others, want to see. It's all about the journey. Congrats Kevin!
That's brilliant to hear Anne thank you and yes, I'll always keep the journey as the meat in the sandwich. ☺
Unpretentious, honest, real, raw, funny, educational, lovable. I am on my second series playthrough. My favourite parts tend to be when you cook food at the end of a long day on the canal. It's so relaxing to hear Aslan's engine sounds. It's the kind of thing you can fall asleep to, then go back the next day and watch the parts you missed while in canal dreamland. I enjoy how you show a lot of interesting things with absolutely no commentary at all. It lets the imagination fill in some of the details. My dog goes nuts over the wildlife shots. Your show is one of the best things on YT and Amazon Prime no contest. I love stuff like this where oftentimes very little action happens but it's so captivating you can't stop watching.
Awesome thank you. Cheers for watching and thank you for such a glowing appraisal. Most appreciated. :)
Looking forward to the new adventures, and hopefully some delicious pork pie reviews 😋
So good to see you back on CZcams. Excited to hear about season seven. Will definitely be watching for announcements regarding your new travel documentary. Thank you so much for putting these shows and documentaries together for us. Safe travels.

Just discovered Travels By Narrowboat and binged the first six seasons on Prime this week! Came here for Season 7 and the latest news. Your travelogue is so enjoyable,! Loving the British/Wales countryside. Yet you keep it real as well. Just crazy about this tour and you! I predict your popularity will be growing here in America. Thanks for some pandemic relief. From Central Illinois.
That's fantastic to hear. Really pleased you enjoyed the series. Cheers ☺
Hello Kevin, I found you channel last year and have viewed all your videos evan on amazon prime, I understand your journey in boating i owned a 28ft all wood classic 1968 Trojan boat I traveled all over lake Erie with her, after 17 years i lost my passion to maintain and keep her. So I sold her to someone with the passion to enjoy and keep the maintenance of the boat up. My all your juorneys be wonderfull in Aslan ... you will know when it's time to sell.....cheers!
All the stress and worry lines and expressions are gone from your face since season one start. Great.
Thank you Andy. The canals have proven to be incredible therapy. ☺

I love watching your videos. I am on season 3 now and find them so relaxing! I now want to take a family trip to do the narrow boat thing! One of my favorite things is when you have your tea! Cheers from North Carolina!
Awesome to hear that, thank you. Yep, tea time is the best time. ☺
I want to compliment your recap. I had missed it somehow..... I want to say Hats off! The best of luck on your new adventure 🤠
I came across your show on Amazone Prime a few days ago and have been binge-watching the entire thing. I absolutely love what you are doing! Getting to see the incredible beauty of your country is amazing and I love watching you cook! You have given me some great ideas! I just watched the episode where you explain how you were assaulted on New Year's and I was in tears! I am so sorry that happened to you! Please know that you and your Narrowboat are so loved and appreciated. Watching your show is such a balm to the soul. Live long and prosper, my friend.
Congrats Kevin! Can't wait for season 7
Good to have you back , you belong on CZcams 👍
So glad to see you again....your travels take my breath away.....looking forward to watching more....
Our first narrow boat experience was on the Lancaster Canal back in 1976. Loved Garstang. All the best for your next adventure, Cheers from Western Australia. 👍
Wow that's amazing Michael. I wonder how much you would think Garstang has changed in that time. Still a peaceful little market town but plenty of the inevitable 'new build' on the periphery.
What a lovely trip down memory lane. I can picture those places! I've truly enjoyed travelling via the tv with you. I'm sure the new adventure will be a great one. All the best!
So glad to see you back! Love watching your adventures from here in the cold, snowy midwest USA.
Looking forward to your new series CHG! You are fun to travel with.
Great to hear that Jane, thank you. ☺
Thank you for making me laugh!
You're welcome Jacque.

Ha cheers Susan. I think probably a case of too many cream cakes and little in the way of work for a month. 😁
I have only watched you on Prime. Found you just a few months ago and binged every show. Just love that you have made this intense change in your life. When I got to the end I freaked out. Oh no......Please tell me there will be a number 7! Looked you up on YT and have the answer. So very glad and thanks many times over for the peace and laughs you have brought to my life!
Good to se you my friend. 👍

Great to hear from you again, Kevin. Haircut looks good! Looking forward to the new venture and-of course-season 7.
Great can’t wait, love your work Kevin
Came across your series one night relaxing after a long day at the hospital. I needed something to watch that was calming little did I know I would get hooked on the series then I found myself worried you would find a mooring ! and seeing sketchy areas where I said to the telly _ Kevin keep going. We enjoy your honest observations. Visited England last fall and enjoyed it immensely ! Can't wait to see what is next.
That's great to hear Jo. Yes there were some areas where even my subconscious was shouting "don't moor here, dumbass." Cheers for watching and hope your reason for being in hospital was a minor one. ☺
Great to see you again!
Great to see you back and I look forward to what you have in store. :-)
I like your style.Thankyou.🇩🇰

So glad to see a video from you back on CZcams. I have certainly missed seeing what you were up to and being able to travel the canals with you and admiring their beauty. I’m in Texas and there is nothing like this here. Thank you so much for the adventure.

Kevin I drop in from time to time to see how you are doing your a very interesting person, Yes congratulation on your new and upcoming season Narrowboat hope to see some of your new footage from your new drone stay well my friend .I keep freezing my butt off in Maine! Lol
Many thanks Jim, great to hear you're enjoying the videos. When (if) these restrictions end, I'll be allowed to travel further than I can on foot. :) Yes, also freezing my butt off here in the north of England. :D
I am not a weirdo American. This is the third time I have left a comment. I am just a middle aged, American, stressed out school teacher finding ways to ease my mind and slow down. Currently watching your seasons AGAIN, and I have to say, you are a funny b#$&tard!!! I am laughing out loud. My husband wants to know what’s going on. He watches too now. I am also searching pork pies et. al. on Pinterest. You are obviously a kind, good soul. I was in England 20 years ago and loved every bit of it. I want to return and rent a narrowboat. Your videos and talent are brilliant. You are gifted in many ways. Your attitude, bravery, and self reliance is admirable. Watching them all again, it is even more wonderful, engaging, informative, real, rewarding... I hope I see you on the canal; but I will not bother you. Thanks for being so uplifting and making the world a kinder, gentler place.
Oh you are so very kind Jennifer and it's very heart warming to hear how much you enjoy the series, thank you. I hope you get to visit 'old England' again and I can think of no better reintroduction than a voyage on a narrowboat. All the best,
Good job and thanks for the update.
Ooh exciting, looking forward to seeing what you have got planned, greatness Kevin 😄
Great news!!
So happy you are back. I so very much enjoy all of your videos. And I look forward to whatever you are up to next. I also want to thank you for giving me a chance to see a part of the world that I will never get to. But through you I get to experience the best part parts. (Most of the time). My favorite is the one with the angry pheasant. It was hilarious. Thanks for all of it, & wish you the very best.
Thank you Bonnie, you are very welcome. :)
Was a treat that you found and liked my post on Twitter, i didn't realize you were there.. .or here. I only just discovered your show recently and I'm nearly to the end. I was horrified for you after the story about New Years, but, glad that mess is OK now.
I've gotten to where i need the "put put put put put put" of the boat to relax at night.
Good day.
You're very welcome Chad and pleased to hear you're enjoying the series. Now if only I could come up with something to fill in the gap between the bad weather, coronavirus, the new bike series and then S7 of Travels by Narrowboat? 🤔 ☺
How old hat is the coronavirus now anyway, pfft. Seriously though, stay healthy and enjoy doing what you do.
Looking forward to the new stuff, whatever it might be. I like your style! Agree about Nantwich, a great little town.
So glad to see this video! We’ve had withdrawls! Miss the TBN!!!
So happy to see this new, short clip. I have watched the series multiple times as well. Even started watching another narrowboater on Amazon Prime, but couldn't continue more than a few minutes. Just not Kevin and put-put Aslan. Really looking forward to your new travel adventures!
Great to see you again,it’s been a while great video as usual, thanks for posting and may I wish you the very best in all that you do,take care.😉👌👍

Kev I hope you have a fabulous year!
All the best John
Watching your show on Amazon prime been living in America now for the last fourteen years I wanted to bite your hand off as you was eating that lovely pork pie great show did not realize how beautiful England really is 🇬🇧🇺🇸
Brilliant, thank you Brian. I have heard from many in the States who have been able to track down authentic British Pork Pie 'dealers' in the USA. 😊
I found your channel a few months ago and became fascinated by narrowboats. Now the hubby and I are heading over to try it out ourselves. Good luck in your next venture.
Good to hear from you! I trust you enjoyed your vacation...er...holiday, a well-deserved break. I’m currently watching Season 1 again, enjoying tea in my Travels by Narrowboat mug. Looking forward to your next project.
That's great to hear Robin. Most appreciated.
Hello, lovely to see you again, !!! missed your channel!!!I don’t have the other channels you have been on, I only have u tube, so it was great to see you back . Love the hair cut😀 hope you are going to do more cooking, loved it when you did it before Take care, Greetings from a cold & dark Sheffield,
Good to see you! Am resisting the urge to guess, seeing your pack and all. But I will just wait and see. Have been suspecting a little side trip since you traveled full circle. 👍🏻
It's great to see you back. Loving the new haircut.
Great to see you on CZcams again Kevin.
Good luck with your new venture, I will be interested to see what it is.
Excellent Michael, thank you.
Discovered you on Amazon Prime a few weeks ago, and have been enjoying an episode or 2 every late evening. Had no idea that the canals had been so well restored. Wish you the best in however you choose to move forward. Looking forward to season 7 and whatever else👍. Amazing, only 670 miles.. looks like farther in the videos.
Thank you Jennifer. Yes it certainly felt longer.
Hi Kevin. Welcome back. Love the town that you are filming in today. Will keep checking YT and FB for updates. congrats on new Series and a season 7 of TBNB. Rocking the haircut BTW. Cheers from NorCal.
Awesome, thank you.
Good to see you on here Kev... looking good man 👍
Wonderful still photo at 7:09! I yearn to sit there for an hour or two and just watch!
Safe travels my friend. Look forward to the new season.
So glad you didn’t fall into the world of taking a permanent break, never to return... you were missed! Very good news as well that you have another genre yet unknown to us and a Season 7 that will happen at some point as well. By the way, I think we would all love more of these question and answer videos. I always read a hefty portion of other people’s comment here and on Facebook and so many contain questions. Welcome back!
Good idea Shea. The more questions the better. ☺
I'm a new convert to your travels and adventures, but from what I've seen thus far you are a courageous and honest man. Good luck with the new stuff (gives me a chance to catch up on the seasons I haven't seen yet!) Keep up the good work!
Brilliant Gary thank you amd welcome aboard. ☺
I was wondering where you had gone :-)) glad to see you back.. Gaz
Now I’m anxious for season 7 and your new project too. 😄
Firstly Happy New year hope the coming year brings you utmost joy and happiness and contentment, can't wait till end of March to start the season weather permitting
