- Welcome back to Five Nights at Freddy's! In this video I play FNAF 3 for the very first time! I have to be honest that this was probably my least favorite in the series so far. But I still had a good time! I just think the first two are INCREDIBLE and this one is just Okay. I also played FNAF 4 already (will be coming to CZcams soon) and that one is literally one of the scariest games I ever played. I absolutely love the FNAF series and I hope you enjoy! "We found one. A REAL one." That line was the beginning of the terror in this game and it gives me chills every time I hear it. Great job with this one Insym. FNAF 3 is my second favorite overall, but first when it comes to lore and easter eggs.
1 and 4 have always been my favorite in terms of gameplay; never really was a fan of the lore...
I love that line so much.
Insym is great to watch when playing horror games because he actually acts like a professional in horror genre things. He still gets scared and all, but he keeps a level head and thinks what he could do differently or what he needs to work on.
Markiplier is great to watch playing horror games cuz he freaks the heck out.
Insym is very mature in his approach with horror games, similar to myself which is why he's my favourite gaming youtuber/twitch streamer. I don't wanna get hate for it, but Mark is a little too loud and obnoxious with his yelling for me. I never watched his FNAF playthroughs for that reason but I'm loving Insym's.

@@BooksToAshes I also don't like when someone is very loud all the time when playing horror games (or any game for that reason) I discovered Insym with the first FNAF game and he's becoming one of my favorite streamers because of his approach as well. I would recommend you Dechart Games, they are a very peaceful duo to watch gaming and they make the viewers feel welcomed (even if they may not be the best gamers sometimes), they have played the first FNAF game and various Resident Evil games, if you are interested

This game must have done something right, you figured out the exact strategy right away and were able to correctly guess the mechanics involved. A perfect Q&A session
Not really actually, Insym totally missed that you can counter/avoid the phantom animatronics (the hallucination ones) and kindof bruteforced through the nights until RNG was kind enough to not give them too many phantom attacks and give them good patterns on springtrap itself (that night 4 RNG was insaaaaaane).
The strategy for springtrap was the right one, to which I can definitely say congratulations on figuring it out, but there were a few other mechanics that removed most of the RNG from that, which would have made for a far more fun experience if Insym understood how they work.
Kindof a shame the game doesn't tell you at all that they are a thing. The lack of tip concerning the phantoms is probably the biggest weakness of this game.
@@UnderTimed Indeed, kinda funny that he never figured out how to properly avoid/counter the phantoms, but that is the joy of a blind playthrough :P

It’s pretty simple, but you choose your heroes
Imo, it seems like Scott is trying to design some kind of "Boss Fight" with FNAF 3. You're going to face one really trick animatronic that's hard to spot on camera and able to comes from multiple direction, while the rest of the animatronics are just the "minions" who's trying to disturb you.
If executed properly, it might provides a really unique gameplay. The lack of different interactions between the player and Spring Trap (only audio and vent) is what makes the game somewhat boring and not exciting.
Yeah, so far this has been the most boring and not that good in my opinion but the concept was really good and environment. It's too bad it went in a bad direction with execution.
thats my favorite part of the game is the concept and environment. its definitely not scary by any means but after the first two, this one was definitely different.

I admire your commitment to finish FNAF 3, it has to be the driest and most straightforward of all of the games in the series. Legit, as long as you know how to seal vents and lure Afton away with the audio cues, the only thing you have to worry about is the phantoms causing equipment malfunctions. It's kinda jarring seeing FNAF 3 wedged between FNAF 2 and 4, which are among the hardest in the series currently. Only benefit to playing 3 is the lore in the mini games and the hidden mini game.
Edit: yes, UCN is also among the others in being the most difficult

Fnaf 2 is regarded as the hardest? Huh, to me that one is the easiest by far- all you have to do is check the vents and what’s in front of you.
@@Kaleidio eh, depends on how you play it (I assume you're referring to its difficulty here). The issue with including UCN here is that it can be as easy or difficult as you want to make it and there's very little canonity to it in comparison to 2 and Sister Location. Obviously if you play it on the most difficult mode, it's going to be harder than any other game in the series, and in that case I'm most definitely wrong in that aspect.
@@AnonDudeBro it's one of the hardest in regards to just how many are coming at you in comparison with other games which typically have between 1 and 4 at any given time. You also have to mind the music box, flashing the flashlight at foxy, and masking for the appropriate animatronics in time. This, in comparison with 1, where you only have to really mind the power and doors, 3, where you have to mind afton through sealing vents and luring him away, and pizza sim/6 which is only really hard if you haven't played a FNAF game before, it's going to rank closer to the top. Obviously 4, SL, and UCN are going to also be in consideration as well, but ultimately from that point forwards it's purely subjective.

this one is actually great about the lore.This game made a huge addition to lore.it wasnt as good as others with gameply but when you play it knowing the lore it is really good
Part of the less-exciting of this playthrough was missing how you interact with all the phantom creations. You thought it was a dumb-luck situation, when you can control most of those situations by knowing how to handle each one. That's what leads to the game being 'more fun' is not simply relying on the luck of the strat working, but understanding how to control everything else, as well. One of the big things I see that you didn't notice is that you can set a system to repair and then go back about your business immediately. This means you can set up a 'reboot all' sequence and work on controlling springtrap and when a system goes down it will be repaired automatically by your reboot all order.
When you see phantoms of the other animatronics you are required to ignore them, and move on. Switching camera quickly when you see BB on screen, for example. Also not looking toward foxy if he's there. This game is one of the easier ones, once you have the mechanics figured out. But it's still a pretty decent game. You have to also put yourself in the moment when the games came out.. no one knew anything about these games and discovering how the mechanics work was always a big part of what made them fun, and community driven. Players and audiences got involved trying to figure out the mechanics of the game. Thats' why they are low in 'feedback that tells you what happened." The whole challenge of a FNAF game is to get through the nights.
Been loving your playthroughs of FNAF, and hope you continue. From this point on the games are all significantly different from what you've seen so far.
Thats actually a really good point as to why the mechanics arent really explained.
It is a bit dissapointing that he kinda had to brute force the game though, like he got a good grip on controlling springtrap, but the others not so much.
I kinda wish he'd be able to get some help from the chat to steer him to the right direction, but it might be a bit difficult to moderate what advice to allow and when. Though if he has more fun this way then by all means continue ^^
I cannot believe you beat the game without learning how to counter the phantom animatronics! Since you already beat the game, here's what you missed:
If you see a phantom on a camera, Balloon Boy for example, all you have to do is switch to a different camera. Then, you won't get the jumpscare or the ventilation error.

I think we can all agree that the most comforting thing in these games are the jolly "Hello Hello" lines
Enjoying watching you play these games Insym, got into you thanks to Phasmo and now seeing you tackle a series I had been doing from launch is a treat, nice seeing someone try to learn the mechanics of the game from scratch. This one was the most cryptic as you don't get told flat out what to do....but there is also the mystery of finding all the mini games.
I think Scott made this one to appeal to all the lore fanatics who love trying to pick apart and explore the games for the secrets.

Fnaf 3 isn't the hardest game in the series easily, but its worth playing, especially for the lore aspects of it with both the minigames and other stuff with it. But glad you figured out the mechanics to this one super easy.

You should play "Amnesia: The Dark Descent". That's pretty much the scariest game i ever played. And it's a lot of fun too.
To me, even if this game is "easier" and not as overwhelming as FNAF 2 or UCN (which is just an unfair comparison), this game is the most conceptually terrifying of the series to me because of the pure isolation not with a single-minded animatronic, but a REAL KILLER that's trapped and burdened by his animatronic prison.
You're trapped together with him in a decrepit haunted house, and all that you have to protect yourself is what seems to be some automatic response from the Spring Bonnie suit that drags Afton from room to room following the sound of children. It's just EXTREMELY unsettling to me compared to a bunch of regular animatronics walking around.
The only thing I wish was different with his animations and sounds is that he should, when climbing in the vents, make a lot of awful scraping sounds which would still serve as an audio cue but it would add a layer of terror to hear him scraping his way towards you. And of course a more violent and harsh animation during the jumpscares instead of the Afton lean 🗿
(Also his jumpscares kinda hit sometimes, though they definitely don't make me jump all the time. *Sometimes* it works well.)
this is my favorite game, not because its spooky and terrifying, its not that scary, imo, but i love the mechanics and lore in this particular game. it gets right to the point, same as other games later in this series (theres still secrets, but thats what this series is known best for). the mechanics are way different from the first and second game, which mirror each other. 1 was very simple, 2 was very chaotic and was marginally more scary than the first game, and 3 toned it down and tried something significantly different. love the way everything looks too. springtrap looks insane, especially in the easter egg splash screens.

Springtrap is honestly one of the scariest animatronics in the series. I like the idea of 1v1 against a animatronic with only cameras and audio. Also i really like the lore for the third game. Sadly the gameplay is also the least tense out of every fnaf since its less chaotic and stressful so it kinda drops in the scariness. I do like though that Springtrap is really important to the story itself even though we haven't seen him earlier :p

Fnaf 3 is my personal fav of the core series, it makes you pay extra attention and forces you to think how would a man in a suit move throughout a place to ambush you, also Fnaf 4 is gonna give you a heart attack

I do think that even though this game is probably the weakest from a gameplay perspective, it fits well in the series. The first game was about resource conservation with a few animatronics. The second went all out and made the game about mechanical mastery and reaction time over smart careful play. This game took the opposite approach by having only one animatronic and being very simple mechanically, but arguably requiring the best knowledge of the map and tracking where he is. FNAF 3 is pretty much they only game that requires use of the cameras besides just clicking to one cam real quick for foxy or marionette, you actually have to LOOK at the cameras and keep track of where Springtrap is at. While it certainly could use some polish to make it more fun to play, I think this game still offers a really cool experience none of the other games really had.

I’m pretty sure aggressive nightmare mode is supposed to be ridiculously difficult, less difficult that the 20 modes in the other games, but like “he can just teleport to the office and kill you” difficult

FNaF 3 is a bit repetitive, but it’s worth playing. It was also supposed to be the last one in the series, but then Scott wanted to make the fourth one so it might be why some people think it’s almost wedged in between the second and fourth one.
I see why people dislike the game, but you can also understand why people love it.
Keep up the great work however I completed and finished this game keep ur eyes on the vents because of mangle and ballon boy
fnaf 3 is often a hit or miss with its players. i really hope you don’t get unmotivated to play the next games because they’re really good too! (also i feel like fnaf 4 is a hit or miss but fnaf 5 sister location is probably the best one imo)
Personally don't think its the WORST game. Yeah its underwhelming but to me it was a nice break after fnaf 2. Plus I feel it gives more lore than most games via the minigames. Of course that's just me, I completely understand and respect your opinion! Fantastic video to watch as always : )

Insym there's actually 9 games (of the horror genre on pc/console, excluding AR and World), 8 of them are out and the ninth (Security Breach) arrives on the 16th of December this year

Fun fact: Springtrap is not trying to kill you, in the other games, when you get a jumpscare, you can see the animatronics moving their mouth like they are biting you, or jumping on you to kill you. When Springtrap moves he is saying "Help me" in a deep voice. Thats why when he jumpscars you he is walking to you to help him

7:52 "we have two specially designed costumes" I never realized Phone Guy in this game was talking about specific suits; I was under the impression all the older animatronic shells could be worn as suits (and had the spring-locks). Knowing most of the lore, I understand he's talking about the Spring (Golden) duo, Spring Freddy and Bonnie, and that really dates these training tapes. :U
