Very cool! I love nebulas. They are the cradle of baby stars and planets.
Ha ha ha that’s a great way of looking at it. These are fun to make. Hopefully more to come In the future
By far the simplest, most straight forward tutorial for galaxy skies! Thank you! ❤

Very impressive, and informative tutorial!! That toothbrush method is fantastic. The only time I've seen it before, was from a lady painter from Asia.....
Yeah it is a pretty quick and fun way to paint. Glad you enjoyed the video.
Great tutorial

@@WildCreates yes I love them all ,but I'm not much of a painter
Ha ha ha - well if you ever give it a try you have these videos.
I attempted to do this and i was a doing great until I had to start glazing. Mind you, I decided to use light blue and dark blue. I’m using the craft smart brand. I guess I didn’t wait for the paint to dry before starting the glazing. How much water do you suggest adding to the paint before glazing? Lol
Hard to answer that because craft paint is generally cheap paint, which mean not much pigment in it. I would may think around 10% to 20% should be water.
What I would do is make sure its dry before you put on the next layer and so a test on a section and see how it goes.
When glazing and moving progressively from red to violet, do we wait for the paint to dry?
You can do either or for different effects.
- Dry will let you layer colors.
- Semi wet will allow you to blend colors.
I would layer at highlight points and blend at darker points.
@@WildCreates awesome, thanks 🙏
Glad to help - if you are looking for another nebula... we also did this one too: czcams.com/video/EvsuZn8_Kt8/video.html
Will check out will it work in oil too?
I believe you could do it in oil, but use a black acrylic gesso canvas to begin with, then prime it with an additional layer of black acrylic gesso to fill in the white bits (or not, your choice). Once dry, proceed with the oils (thin layers so as to help the next layer adhere to the canvas). Remember the rule "fat over thin."
@@michaelgoodwin5510 cool man will do thank u
@@yenracm you are so welcome, i've learned alot watching the wild man.
Just adding to the good advice you already got here. When it comes to oils you wanna generally work from light to dark and start with very little paint. You can always add more as you go BUT most mess up by starting with too much paint then you have a big blob of ugly colors that blended together.
Start Small, go slow, don't eliminate all the dark, Blend softly AND have fun :)
Love this!! Any chance of doing this tutorial with the Bob Ross technique?
I sure can - I will see what I can do in a future video for ya.
@@WildCreates As always, you are awesome, thank-you!!
Glad to help out.
Did you allow the paint to dry between layers?
The answer is yes and no. For certain layers that we wanted blended that was done with the paint still wet. For layers we wanted to build on top of we allowed it to dry.
I hope that helps
@@WildCreates thank you so much I’m new to painting I’m actually attempting this today!!
Let me know how it went for ya.
I painte a glaxy thank u much mmy frend
You are welcome.

@@WildCreates yes thank u again. Iuke the purple lots. I hav dun both and mani othirs.
Sry I talc in Indonesian. English Oz hard for my
I have tried to dollow this about 9 times and can't get it to work. The glazing just goes awry every single time. phooey.. alright 10th time the charm
are you by chance using a low pigment paint? Or you might not be waiting for some layers to dry... Hence you are wiping them away.
@@WildCreates Pyrrole Red if that tells anything. The water/paint mix either tends to cover too little or too much depending on how thick or watery I make it.
What's the brand?
@@WildCreates Amsterdam all acrylic standard series
sadly I have not really played around with that brand.
The only advice I can give if you do it again... it take more time between each nebula/glazing layer. This will let the paint set up more and show more of the color. This will hopefully give you more of a visual on where you need to add more or less color.
It looks so easy..but that layering freaks me out 😅
Watching it the 126 time 😅
Ha ha ha True That ha ha ha
I would suggest practice on a space piece. Don't worry about making anything... just practice the layering over and over. This will help a ton 🔥
YES... watch it 126 more times... I need the ad revenue ha ha ha.
Not sure if you saw but I have a purple nebula video that I think is a little easier to do. Perhaps give that one 126 viewings too 😋
You can see it here: czcams.com/video/EvsuZn8_Kt8/video.html
@@WildCreates thank you for your answer. Yeah saw many of your videos. Pretty helpful.
