I did a little modification on the FX factory moderator and brought it down to 75 db. All you need to do is get a pipe ( any material) drill lots of small holes around it and wrap with breathable material around it then put it inside the moderator. You'll be amazed how quiet it is and no need to spend hundreds of dollars for other moderators.

Great video guys! I'm about to buy a new moderator besides the Tanto for my M3. Thinking about the Ronin now. But apart from that I shoot with the same gun, same caliber (M3 0.25??). Your results are good but may I ask what your settings are? Like in 1st reg, 2nd reg, micro+macro and valve? This will affect the dB as well I think? Keep up the good stuff!

We didn’t notice any increase in noise and still very back yard friendly. I have also purchased a Donny FL Choi. It’s my favorite look because it is the same barrel diameter but best results are still the Ronin. Love the Donny FL products as well as the FX Impact.

Very good test. Donny FLs products are awesome. I have one of the shoguns in .25. I was wondering if you could do this same test with the decibel and audio down range and shoot into a soft and quiet target like a sand bag?? Of course with the sound equipment to one side about three or four feet so it doesn't get hit. I think it would be interesting to hear the difference from stock all the way to the shogun. It would completely cancel out the mechanical noise of the shot cycle. Sound from the target side. What's best for hunting or pesting.

Update on the condor SS. I wound up getting the Ronin and it was pretty quiet. I later found out that Donny makes a Three inch extension tube for the Fatboy 2.0. it is compatible with the Ronin and Emperor. The extension tube combined with the Ronin really makes the Condor SS super quiet. The extension tube only cost $40 but makes a world of difference. At thirty yards all you can here is the hiss of the pellet flying through the air and the impact inside the shooting box. Pretty impressive.

@@bowmanoutdoors your welcome. believe me the extension tube is well worth the money. It acts as an expansion chamber letting the hard force of the air blast expand and de-pressurize before getting shaved by the baffles of the suppressor resulting in a short quiet hiss instead of a muffled pop speaking from my experience. I don't have the equipment or a channel to make a down range video of a sound test but that would be AWESOME. I mean from a close test and comparing it to thirty yards away. Just an idea keep up the great work my friend. I got the three inch extension tube for Utah airguns and it was to My door very fast. Great airgun shop.

I like tinkering, being outdoors, testing and experimenting etc, but my primary enjoyment comes from having out with my son while we explore nature, outdoor sports etc and documenting it along the way. I actually smile so much on the small interactions and giving each other a hard time.
Enjoy the journey and maybe we can link up and do a collaborative project sometime. I’m still learning about this content creator thing. Cost and value are certainly things to consider but we were using a cell phone as a decibel reader and actual decibel reduction maybe different which is why I had to go to improvement percentages. I agree that the standard moderator had noticeable improvement and came with the gun and the Tanto was the best value, but it is still subjective to end user. Thank you for your thoughts and comments.

560% decrease in sound for the Ronin not a good enough result for you?

Hard to beat 560% improvement. No complaints here! It is one of those things where we consistently look for more and increased performance in all areas though. Just testing and comparing to see what works best in each of our specific scenarios.
Thanks for the feedback and comments.

    Overrated, and even more overpriced.

Well they didn’t pay or send them to us so we had to purchase each one. We like them but have not compared them to some of the other manufacturers.
      Thanks for watching!! Appreciate it

We have a new video dropping within a week or two showing DonnyFL’s newest lineup which is comparable in price but much more adaptable and so far, I really like it. As for other manufacturers, I do not have a comparison test nor experience with them.

@bowmanoutdoors yes I have the sumo on my .25 cal. wildcat mk3bt sniper w/ slug power kit and slug liner quieter than my .22 cal. m rod... also a little side note you might want to clean the felt, screen, and baffles in your Donnie FL after every 2000 rounds as it gets weighty from the lead dust and changes your point of impact and the report
