The fact that Bender's favorite word is "ass" could actually be a metajoke for the show itself, since the word comes up so much. One of the "Tales of Interest" skits had a scenario where Fry had to put his video game skills to use in a Space Invaders style fight. But since he could never get the last ship in the game itself, he blew it in the real tank. Before the next scene plays out, Fry gets taken to a "Enter your initials" screen and he types in "ASS".
I mean, in the video game one most people in the "arcade game era" put their initials as "ass" anyway cuz it was funny

Depends on the metal. Normal metals become REALLY brittle after rapid cooling. Bender claims he's 40% of various metals so its hard to tell. But considering ge swimmed in Lava before He'll be alright with a simple dip in the beach.
