I tried some of this about 2 weeks ago. My local (regional - Food Lion)) grocery store had these advertised for 4.69 so I bought a couple of bags. Tried it and it's quite good - of course the Orange Chicken sauce makes the dish. Same store has them on sale this week for 3.99 so I bought 3 more bags! Good stuff and easy to fix. Just cook up some Lundbergs Wild Rice and slice up some green pepper and you have a meal. Nuggets are a good size and there's plenty of sauce to use/left over on something else. Another option is to buy the Just Bare chicken bites - lightly breaded and big chunks of chicken. All you need is the Orange Sauce and you have the same thing although the Just Bare is much better. Price is comparable if you get the Just Bare on sale or at Sam's club.

just a heads up for anyone who cares about pronunciations. TEMPURA = tem-poo-da. not, tem-peer-rah. in japanese the letter R is pronounced more similar to how we pronounce the letter D.

I eat WAY too many Canadian Chinese and Indian lunches (President's Choice)... which are basically glorified TV dinners. Almost always chicken slurry with rice. It is the sauces that make them good. That and they are cheap and easy to make.

This was the first time I heard you say "Formed". Course you did that one SLOWLY. Every other time it comes out as 4 meat slurry

I haven't tried the La Choy brand yet, but the trick for me is adding a little less of the sauce pack.
These are usually a little sweet.

Somehow if MSG is just a natural part of soy sauce it’s harmless but if it isn’t it’s toxic?
I have extra salt shakers on my dinner table and by the stove. They have MSG in them. Clearly I’m biased.

I just got back home from my asian grocery store buying MSG for my fried rice, it really enhances the flavor.

MSG is naturally in a vast majority of food, from meat to veggies to sauces.
Its being viewed as unhealthy came from 1920s xenophobia targeted at Chinese immigrants (who were carving out a niche in the US's culinary scene/steadily becoming wealthy citizens. Dim Sum restaurants were very haute cuisine, height of luxury for awhile, then the MSG thing was spread and it toppled the image - now Chinese Food is the everyman's meal. Still luxury in certain areas, but nowhere near what it once was)
