This is an Autosave Henry, made between 2010 and 2014, and they used a PCB to vary the speed between low and high. They default to low power when switched on, and pressing the spring loaded Hi switch sends a signal to the PCB to switch over to high speed, until the machine is switched off when it defaults back to low power again. The PCB is positioned in the exhaust duct from the motor to keep its components cool in use, but this was a bad design as over time, the carbon dust in the exhaust air coats the components of the PCB and with carbon dust being electrically conductive, the build-up on the PCB starts to short out the components, eventually rendering the PCB useless and the vacuum stops working, or works only in one speed. Lots of these Autosave Henrys failed due to PCB failures, and what you could have done when you had the vacuum apart was to thoroughly clean the PCB and its components to remove carbon dust residue from it, in the hope that it may stop any electrical shorting between components. The fact that your vacuum only ran in high speed despite the switch being pressed to go from low to high means the PCB on that machine is on the verge of total failure, probably due to the switching components shorting themselves due to the bad carbon dust contamination of the PCB. Try cleaning the PCB, but the damage may now be irreversible.

Thanks, I will take it apart again and wash the board. I think that could work if it isn't already fried. thanks. Failing that, a bypass of the board.

I changed the ecu to the new type red one. The cleaner now works but only one speed. Hvr200a. Will a new high low switch solve the problem

I'm sorry to comment. I'm Ichiro, a Japanese cleaner. I made a video to convey what is happening in Japan in a real way.

This is propably a triac or transistor based switch. Mebay all the HI-LO switches fails are just triac/transistor fails ?
