- It is the summer of 1957. Behind the spectacle of Formula 1, ex-racer Enzo Ferrari is in crisis. Bankruptcy threatens the factory he and his wife, Laura built from nothing ten years earlier. Their volatile marriage has been battered by the loss of their son, Dino a year earlier. Ferrari struggles to acknowledge his son Piero with Lina Lardi. Man Adam Driver killed this role and so did Cruz!!
I loved this scene. It shows that Enzo considers Peiro as his son and will be known as Ferrari.
This shows Family isn't about Heirs or Lineage. It's about Bond.
Also I'm 100% sure that Dino would be proud that his little bro took his mantle of Ferrari
Great acting between Penélope Cruz and Adam Driver in this part of the movie 👏👏👏
They did her dirty in the thumbnail
😂
She basically looked like that the whole movie
For real thought this was a horror movie clip
scene from marriage story but they put an italian filter on it
Penélope delivers a great performance here. Hope she'll get some noms for this.
She only got in at SAG like be so fucking for real that’s it
Great movie. Great performances.
Thank you Michael Mann.
"2 objects cannot occupy the same space at the same moment in time" is a metaphor for his two sons and which will be his heir. I think this movie needed to focus on Dino and Piero more.
One thing I will say is that Adam driver has uped his game on executing a more proper sounding Italian accent from the atrocious display given in House of Gucci
he definitely learned the lesson.
I'm very familiar with Italian accents because of MotoGP. And Adam Driver never sounded like an Italian. But his deep voice here was fitting of a great man in his 50's who had power.
Adam Driver | Dr. Doom
Vanessa Kirby | Invisible Woman
John Cena | The Thing
John Krasinski | Mr. Fantastic
It's very possible Michael Mann has done it again.
This was one of the better scenes of the movie. Overall I liked it and the performances were great, I think the pacing needed work but honestly I struggle a bit to suggest a fix. I think it's just how this story pans out and how it all serves the "two objects cannot occupy the same space" theme it carries
Ok my cinema wasn’t messed up. Isn’t the sound editing at 0:25 a bit weird? Strange editing on Cruz’s line, and then Driver’s outburst is being super compressed or something, why is it so much quieter?
Good movie anyways
Penelope Cruz was the MVP in this film!
💔
Penelope did a fantastic job in the film. I think that Enzo mistreated his wife. His wife seemed like a decent woman to me. She ensured that business was going well by taking care of the books. I am aware that he did not cause his son's death but dam, you left your wife for that chick. I believe he tried everything he could. His mother is not at all sympathetic. The movie started out slowly, but it caught up at some fantastic points. But all in all, the film was enjoyable. It had an atmosphere reminiscent of the Godfather movie.
Go see this motion picture on the big screen!❤. I did.
Very soft italian acent
