I never thought I would see the day that I did not love Summertime. I use to love all the things about Summer. The heat, the sun, the tan skin, the pool, garden, flowers. I do not love that anymore. I cannot tolerate it. It literally makes me feel like I am dying. lol And then I don't die but I feel nauseated. And that is worse. lol Well almost.
Yes, heat is terrible for Lupus and other challenges. We keep the AC running and stay ahead of the heatwaves and don’t leave the house unless we have to. I can’t take the heat and humidity! I always keep a small spray bottle with water near my desk with my small fan. So when I get a heat wave I spray my arms and chest. With the fan it gets my temperature down quite fast.

I took the 4 grandkids and daughter to McDonald’s for the $5 special, then to Target for a little last minute school shopping, socks and underwear, the boring but necessary stuff. While we were at Target, I was thinking they might have turned the AC off early, and I felt fussy about it. Now, I’m counting my blessings! At home, AC off, but comfortable with fans, working on my boggy camp (charity) blanket. I love the colors in your hat. So pretty. Prayers for a restful night for you, AMAP. ❤

I think I would get frustrated with an animal walking all over my work, haha. I do think sometimes they interrupt us for our own good. lol Sassy is like my Buddy. anytime he sees me with yarn, he thinks he has to be in the thick and thin of it. He is constantly grabbing it. Sometimes I have to just put it away.

Add classic summer weather , heat and humidity, and you have a potential health crisis. Continue to stay as cool as possible. I have cidp and if that did it I don't know. I keep busy, but its hard. You are amazing. When I weed wack I put aa wet towel around my neck and it keeps me cool.I am 81 so I am careful.

I have Lupus as well! Diagnosed in 2018 but had terrible symptoms for years before. The bright sun and heat is terrible. My rheumatologist upped my methotrexate self injection so I think it will help but it takes a while to kick in. Prayers for you cause I know all about the fatigue and brain fog, rashes, migraines, joint pain and on and on!! Take it easy!!
Hi Kayla, I’m right there with you. I’m not far from you in Arkansas. My son works outside and I worry about him. They have been going in at 6am to try to get things done before it’s gets in the 90’s. Which it was 90 at 10 pm and it reached 114 with heat index. The humidity is crazy, so there hasn’t been much escape. It’s so dry out, the grass is blowing and when you mow the yard it’s like a dust storm. We are looking forward to fall. I had been working on a Mosiac blanket but had to stop for now, it’s at the size it’s big to work on and makes me hot. Keep sipping your ice tea. Hope you feel better soon. 🥰
I have problems doing stuff in bed. My back starts hurting. Friday I mowed half my lawn, today I tried to finish it up & got caught in a sudden rainstorm - I got drenched before I could make it to the garage! Hope you get feeling better. Yeah, raspberries to the other side of the globe!!!!😅

Working on baby booties and mittens. making a bunch of sets in case i need them for a baby shower. i have a daughter in law that is due in late January. Hi Kayla, I need to have the perfect temperature too. If it’s too cold it hurts my lungs, if it’s too hot it makes me nauseous and unwell.😫. All we c do is keep praying for the perfect weather,lol🙏💞🙏 we just finished decorating my daughters bedroom, now I’m back home in my chair working on my friends poncho.
HI Kayla. I'm here in Texas and Yes, It is very hot over ,too! I've been doing catch-up in my crocheting. Working on baby booties and mittens. making a bunch of sets in case i need them for a baby shower. i have a daughter in law that is due in late January. Sets include a bonnet or cap, mittens and booties. i might do up some blankets, too. So, i hope you feel better soon. I'll keep you all in my prayers, girl.❤
