  • The psoas is a deep muscle located in the lower lumbar region of the spine and extends through the pelvis to the femur.⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
    ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
    When this muscle get tights or is chronically shortened, it leads to various issues, one being low back pain. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
    ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
    The demo will show you exactly how to safely release your psoas. It can be a real trigger to stir up some emotions because we hold emotions in fascia. This area is known to be a common place to do so! ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀

      Thank you for your message! I felt the same way when I did this! It even went down my lateral shin and toes. After about a day it subsided but then my leg felt more integrated after!

      Keep up with fascia stretches but only work through them pain free!

    How to distinguish between the pain caused by the Psoas or hip?

    • @DailyFascia
      @DailyFascia  Před 2 lety

      That can be really difficult to know for certain. Most often where we 'feel' the pain is not where the problem arises from. We can use pain as a clue as we investigate other potential contributors.

    I had a long walk of about 2 hrs around the city and the ff. day I had soreness in the muscle between the rib cage and pelvis. Is that Psoas?

    • @DailyFascia
      @DailyFascia  Před 2 lety

      Did you feel that in the front or back of your body? The psoas starts in your back and inserts in the front of your body. It can be tricky to decipher what muscles specifically you might be feeling but really they are all connected to each other and influence each other too!
