1:58 cracked me up so hard when Fatalis had enough of your counters and went all-in on its paw swipes. It looked like a pet throwing a bad tantrum-totally gif worthy. There was a similar tantrum moment at 5'30 and I was amazed when you connected that High Thrust I after the Charged Counter Thrust at 5:32.
Your bold charges at 7:11 and 9:33 are also very impressive! With you initially being perpendicular to Fatalis, it looked like you wouldn't be able to adjust your direction in time. Then I realized that you were anticipating Fatalis to back up for the cone attack, and I thought to myself, _"why did I doubt Alex, he obviously knows what he's doing."_

I like to call his slaps the 'baby rage' because it always reminds me of a toddler trying to hit something. I think the most I've gotten in a row is six.
The high thrust to hit the head after the counter thrust is something that I figured out pretty recently. I don't know why it took me so long to do; all you have to do is just delay the attack a little bit. You can't delay it too much though or else you can't block the next attack in time.
Charging at an angle at him when he moves away is a good idea for dodging the cone, but the primary purpose is actually to avoid getting hit by fireballs if he does them. If you don't run straight at him, they just miss, which is convenient.

Great run dude. at 1:39 how did u guard and counter claw right away ? every time i tried i always was pushed back really hard so counter claw motion was impossible
You have to be close to the chest. The wind from Fatalis' attack resets your guard and you are able to counter claw. It's tight but can be done very consistently once you get the hang of it.

Man I can’t figure out how to quickly do the clutch counter as fast as you, seems the fastest way is to do the “cancel block” and then aim the claw. I caught fati’s head a few times when he flies up after the blast but It just doesn’t seem as fast as yours, when you do it there is no wind up animation, you just get right into it. Is there a shortcut to do it right after blocking? Or are you just ridiculously fast? Help me out man.

@@madscientist3800 oh i practiced and nailed it, the trick is when to block, turns out theres a sweet spot for blocking that minimizes knockback regardless of guard skill. Cuz sometimes i get knocked hard and sometimes not, same block same attack.

Lol, it was for a bit there. I revisited Fatalis in the first place because Z0ne was doing some good new strats and I knew we could push the time down. Now that we've improved the time, I think I'm good with leaving it alone.

3:23 how did you clutch claw without sheathing your weapon? This should not be possible.
On a Playstation controller, if you hold L2 and press R3, you'll switch to the claw and can shoot it with Circle. It's the same button placements on Xbox. I'm not sure what it would be on mouse and keyboard.
I reached fatalis not knowing that I can use the regular clutch claw without taking my weapon off. I feel so noob@@alex_3572
