The exterminators are only allowed to kill sinners, not demons in general. Sinners are considered to be irredeemable in Hazbin Hotel. Hellborn creatures like imps and other demons are not targeted by them, since Lucifer managed to make a deal with Heaven to not harm hellborns. Lute mentioned it in the first episode to Charlie
I think Adam breaks that deal in the finale, that's what allows Lucifer to get involved, by attacking Charlie, a hellborn directly Lucifers deal no to fight during exterminations was broken.

@@DaijDjan If him and Lucifer made a deal it probably didn't specify against self defense, Adam clearly doesn't think that far ahead and Lucifer would be good at making loopholes in his deals

The Vaggie being a fallen angel was a theory until this episode.

Yep, the only reason she didn`t have the accent in The Pilot is because her lines were recorded before it could be added and by then it was too late to change it. In the "Addict" music video, they did allude to her Aussie roots with the use of Aussie slang terms like "mate" and "fancy"as well as showing what appears to be Cherri`s father or older brother wearing an Aussie safari hat.

I remember after the pilot premiered, reddit and twitter had speculated that Vaggie was a former angel because of her missing "X" eye and her spear.
I'm pretty sure Camilla pointing out how obvious that twist is in episode 7 was Viv making fun of that.
Pretty sure Adam is coasting on the image of the first human. Essentially Heaven gives plenty of leeway because if he goes to Hell, they have to admit they failed.

He was crafted to be an as* in the backstory and his worst tendencies probably got worse after his second wife fell because of Lucifer and Lilith.
And because a Seraphim approved of his exorcism he technically doesn't go against heaven rules

The funny things is, you ask about Cain, but for all we know Cain and Abel never existed, or at the very least things seemed to have happened differently. After all, if memory serves, Abel died first. Despite that, according to Sera, ADAM was the first human soul in Heaven. Meaning, either shit happened differently, didn't happen at all, or happened, and yet for some reason ABEL WENT TO HELL.
So yeah, that's all up in the air.😂

I really love the perspective this episode has on using heaven and Adam as different aspects of Christianity.
As a Christian myself, a lot of people assume Christians are like has to do toxic Christians, very controlling, very biased, very discriminating. In reality, those are just stand out more. In reality, most Christians are like Emily, kind, caring, and accepting. I love how they show that not all people in heaven are like Adam, as only a few people know about the exterminations and are surprise when they find out.
The one thing I love though, was just calling out the hypocrisy of toxic Christian. The whole thing about no one really knowing what gets you to heaven, Because no good deeds can make you get to heaven when you're alive. God loves and cares for everyone so much that he died and he just wants us to do better and improve. Ironically what Charlie is just trying to do. So when a toxic Christian, discriminates, belittles, and sins themselves against other sinners, but says it's different for them because they are Christians and perfect. They are straight hypocrites.
"He without sin cast the first stone" we've all sinned, and thanks to God we don't die from it, it's what we do to improve ourselves and others that makes us good people, and it's all that God wants. Definitely really love this episode.
Like with many other groups, Christians suffer from the fact that the loud, obnoxious and holier-than-thou minority is so much more visible than the many believers that embody the virtues of Christ in living their best lives and turning the other cheek.
The group is tainted in the eyes of the public because it either can't or won't curtail the extreme elements that act out in public view.

Ya and some Christians believe that Christ loves everyone equally and I think that way and it's unfortunate that Christians who are like that cause some people to make blanket statements because of Christians who are assholes when not all of us are like that so I totally agree.

In this episode:
- (This likely the fan in me for Nintendo's Animal Crossing) One of the pins on Charlie's suitcase somewhat look like Animal Crossing's character, Dotty.
- About the scene where THAT wall of the hotel gets blown...again...and our beloved arachnid boi points it out, this is a fourth wall jab. Particularly, this somewhat running gag of the show in which THAT wall of the hotel has been (hehe) busted through, time and time again. This time being the third, with the first one happening back in episode two and the second time was in the previous episode.
- Cherri bomb! Yes, this episode marks the show debut for our dear one eyed bomb expert. As pointed out by the Renegades, she sounds Australian. This is due to, said by Vivziepop, Cherri Bomb IS from the Land Down Under. This fact is proven further by the way she speaks throughout this episode the whole "Munted D--head", "f--head" and "Did you just call these C---s your friends? That's my thing" Especially that last example, afterall "Call your mates 'C---s' and call your c---s 'mates'", c---. Heheh XD ^^
- Another thing about Cherri that Renegades also pointed out, she sounds like where she's from in the show, but the pilot? Nah. In the Pilot, Cherri bomb...is like me: An Australian that doesn't sound like one.
- During Cherri chatting with Anthony, she says "you can sleep when you're double dead, F---head". Our boi mentioned about him being "double dead" and "going to double head" in the pilot.
- My sincere apologies in advance. The face Anthony pulled when Charlie hands Cherri that BEEG stack of cash is like the Poggers face. Speaking of, Cherri gave our spoods also a BEEG stack of cash to be Vaggie and Charlie's first client of the hotel back in the pilot's prequel comic.
- When Sir Pentious and Cherri Bomb interact, the make mentions of their fued back in the Pilot. Now? Give or take his progress at the Hazbin Hotel, that rivalry is now water under the bridge.
- When Charlie and Vaggie come to the Pearly gates, they encounter the gate master himself St Peter.
- When we get introduced to Sera and Emmy, Sera's appearance is the same one of one of the angels in episode's lore sequence,
- During the "welcome to heaven" number, A particular individual is seen three times. First time is during that bit of the dancing group in the town/city hall(?), Second time is in shot of "hot people" and third time is the finishing pose at the end of the number. This particular individual looks like a dead ringer to a familiar face...familiar to the long-time fans, because yes. That one character looks too much like our spoods boi's fraternal twin sister, Molly. In fact, this may be subject to change with, Vivzie did say in the PAST that Molly's not a demon nor is she in hell. Mmm~ ^^
- Speaking of the part in "welcome to heaven" in which St Peter talks about heaven having hot people, this contrasts what Adam said about "ugly people" being hell's biggest problem back in episode one.
- When we first see Adam and Lute in heaven, as shown later on, we get to see what looks like without her mask on and...looks familiar...kind of. Hmm. Speaking of looks, rewind a bit, we see for a bit Sera and Emily change forms. This must be heaven's parallel or equivalent to those in hell having a demon form.
- During Adam's ranting fit, Lute and him reveal (to us...and later all of heaven, ehehe) that "the exterminations" is knowledge amongst the exorcists themselves and the seraphim and everyone else in heaven (until later) is none the wiser...As the Renegades point it, "...that's quite a bit of information" indeed. Oh! It gets better, the two's private talk with Sera reveals the exterminations was Adam's suggestion as a way to keep those from hell to pour into heaven.
Ngl Adam and Lute are probably my favorite characters in this show
the only reason only the seraphims and the exorcists are allowed to know about the exterminations is because tecnically murder is a sin and angels arent suppsoed to sin for getting into heaven.
Given that a lot of characters are taller than Charlie, it has to be interesting for her to be taller than Cherri Bomb.

My theory is that humans with souls were initially created to be power sources through worship and obedience, but giving humanity free will gave them the option to choose their own destiny rather than pretty much be cattle for resources.
Their fear of hell uprising is because they get more humans souls. Not just because they're "evil", but because they're not obedient worshipers who ignore the belief's fallacies, double standards, hypocrisy, etc and see it for what it is: control. Hell is a place of free will and self determination, while heaven is a place of obedience and amorality. In the C.H.E.R.U.B episode of Helluva boss they point out the hypocrisy of cherubs. Their interference with Lipton committing suicide as a "blessing" for helping people with tech advancements, which he only developed unethically experimenting on the poor and being a greedy, selfish, authoritarian capitalists. He would go to hell. Cherubs condemned the demons for "meddling with the lives of humans" while doing so themselves. They likely wanted to make him live and do ENOUGH good to tip the balance to get him into heaven so they could use him to create more tech and weapons for them. The reality is they wanted him in heaven for their inventions he could make for them. Their motives were not pure. It was self serving greed.
While I'm not sure about the "use Lipton to create more tech and weapons for heaven" theory, it IS worth noting that when the cherubs accidentally cause Lipton's death thanks to I.M.P., they get banished from Heaven. Not even THEY were safe from heaven's hypocrisy, despite how loyal they were. One could say that they *lost control* of the situation, and that would obviously reflect poorly of on Heaven itself, and thus they were punished with exile.
@@Omeyrolx_theChessmaster Fair enough. I just picture the shows having a bit of crossover down the line in my head since they both mainly take place in the Pride Ring. The idea that Lipton could even be considered worthy of a blessing and trying to save him KNOWING everything he's done considering the view heaven has towards sinners makes me think ulterior motive. During their TV jingle it showed a man being hung, presumably for a crime he committed, makes it seem it's a regular occurrence that they save sinners from death. The one cherub says, "..we are saving that shitty old man's life whether he wants us to or not!" What would be the point of it knowing he'll go to hell regardless, unless their whole spiel was to get him to believe, change his ways, and repent after being influenced.
Just ideas.

"If you start to question, You can end up like Lucifer, Fallen" the threat in this line, wow. I took from the song that everyone is heavily judged, but once in heaven you get a free pass. Hypocrisy at its finest. There is definitely stuff people don't know, we got a long way to go to know the reasons and such. Like how no one knows how a person ends up in heaven, just they show up. What judges anyone of being worthy? And Angel Dust is proving blatantly he is improving, Charlie's hotel works! Angel Dust is doing better each time we see him, people can change. Vaggie's reveal was definitely just a theory till this episode. A lot of people guessed it though. Now we have the 2 big episodes of the finale! Can't wait to see your reactions!

I low key guess Cherri was Australian... all because she said 'fancy yourself a mate' in the addict song.
I thought the song was part of the lore, not realizing the song came before the music video, which was made become Vivizie enjoyed it so much.
Helluva Boss are not human souls, they are demons that were born in hell. Apparently in this universe human souls are mandated to stay in the pride circle of hell, whereas the hellborn live in and rule the other circles. (Lucifer rules the pride ring I believe, but perhaps he has some power throughout hell as well)
This show has a similar view on Heaven and Hell as The Devil's Carnival. It's not the exact same, and they are definitely displayed very differently. But the concept of Hell being a place that not only allows redemption, but encourages it. And Heaven being morally corrupt despite it's shiny surface is a theme throughout both.
Granted, in The Devil's Carnival, Lucifer does take some pride in torturing damned souls. But once he realizes he can allow one to be redeemed, he starts doing it en masse to be a thorn in God's side, rather than out of genuine desire to make them better. But still. Worth a watch if you haven't seen them already.
I honestly think the reason as to why heaven believes that hell is trying an uprising is because Lilith gaslighted Sera into actually believing into that.
Why would Lilith screw over Hell like that, though? It's her own kingdom.

And since angels don't know how souls get to heaven, and they don't choose which soul get to heaven, they didn't argue with Adam and anithing what he's doing it's OK. Later he was surrounded by winners who warship him as a someone special, a first human soul in heaven, who gave a birth to humanity. It's not suprising why he is a frat bro with God complexes.He didn't bully anyone in heaven, the only trouble he's bringing it that he reveals the secret of extermination in the court. Imagine the whole extermination wouldn't happened if Lucifer didn't gave a permission. The whole blood of sinners is not only on Adam and Sera's shoulders, so on Lucifer's too. Also about the fact that he's making fun of Charlie or anyone, my man for thousands years tired of anithing good or perfect in heaven, he has an existential crisis, he is trying to entertain himself by childish pranks or killing sinners, covers up his self-loathing with narcissism, due to the fact that he lost his two wives. I believe you are mixing up the *Seraphim* (one of the highest ranking Angels by definition) with the *Nephilim* who are in some way descendent from both an angel and a demon (usually half demon and half angel, but any mix of the two counts). Seraphim exclusively work for the highest power of heaven while Nephilim are usually outcast from heaven but aren't always in favour of working for the powers of hell, depending on which scripture you're pulling from.

It seems that Heaven in this series is very much a commentary on the corruption and hypocrisy that has been plaguing the church and other organized religions, where certain standards and practices that are discouraged in the teachings are encouraged in favor of maintaining a system of power. A friend of mine grew up in a church that practiced and preached a lot of the same toxic things that both Adam and Lute display in the series, with certain actions and behaviors being tolerated in their circles because of privileges. Thankfully, while still a Christian, she’s since distanced herself from her family’s set of beliefs and is now in better company.
It really makes me wonder if we’ll ever find out what exactly is setting the rules of redemption in the Hellaverse, not to mention where God’s whereabouts might be. My guess is that maybe God is absent from Heaven for whatever reason and the angels were left behind to maintain the order, but they fail to fully comprehend the rules and laws that govern the kingdom. But that’s just my theory.

A lot of parallels can be made between this show and real life Christianity. The hypocrisy and double standards of the Church, and how its people behave. A lot of things that people just aren't aware of or ignore. While I doubt this show will be as strong as the Martin Luther incident, I could see this show at least making ripples in how those of Christian faith are perceived. I'm bold enough to even say only 1% of Christians are genuinely good people. Those who are good can be your greatest ally. I like to compare finding a good Christian to finding change in your couch. It's rare but a welcomed surprise.
