    Thank you for always commenting on how the club sits behind the ball. You’re the only reviewer that I’ve seen consistently point that out. I hate when woods sit closed and have always agreed with your assessment of that. That detail isn’t pointed out near enough in reviews. So keep that up!

    I don't think that you gave the price for the Mizuno, so here are U.S. prices: TM $449.95, Ping $549.99, Mizuno $400. So, another win for Mizuno on price.

      Not to mention that mizuno usually offers other shafts with no upcharge if you choose to customize.

    Mizuno is the winner clearly, nicest looks and sound combined with tightest dispersion and deviation in spin/carry.

    Very good grouping for the Mizuno for you there. I would gladly give up 3 yards if I was that dialed in and consistent. Interesting test.

    Mizuno was "shorter" because it doesn't have the knuckly outliers. Hope to pick one up soon 😊

    I had an OG stealth plus fairway and absolutely LOVED it. In typical Taylormade fashion- the speed slot of my 3 wood broke off and so I sent it in for warranty and received a Stealth 2 plus. I unfortunately haven’t found the stealth 2 plus as forgiving as the OG stealth. The moving weight is cool, but the OG stealth was SO forgiving and it was a rocket at the same time

      @jamiegaff6150 Před 11 měsíci

      Surprising Ive found them extremely forgiving off misshits I bought both a 3 wood and 5 wood when they first came out and they are my 2 best clubs in the bag (wish I could say the same for the driver), Id say the twist face has always been poor off heel strikes but the toe hits go dead straight for me.

      Agree. I got the stealth plus ti 13.5 and it is not far behind my driver off the deck! It's setup all my eagles and no other club has come Close 😅

    TM just recently started offering this monster Stealth 2+ in 16.5° "4-wood" option. Just grabbed one. Love it. I gave the PING LST a whirl but the sound was a big put-off, even though it performed, it felt awful.

  • @jachoi105
    @jachoi105 Před 11 měsíci

    When TaylorMade offered the Stealth 2 Plus 4 wood (16.5*), I immediately made the purchase. Couldn't be happier with it. Replaced a Ping G425 3 wood I turned one up.

    nice job Mike, these model fairway woods aren't for everyone , I game the 5 wood Sim 2 TI and it's definitely a rocket , but getting older not as much ball speed so might have to start gaming a Max version in these categories!!idk it's like giving up my 4 and 5 iron for a hybrid lol not very excited, being a low mid HC traditionalist your brain saying hit the long irons but the score card saying to go for more forgiveness,, im sure you here it quite often,, love the content, ty! love to see,, a best wedge of 2023,, love that part of golf,, so many choices out there,,

    IMHO, I think the TI FW winner (not from this test) is the 2 years old Sim2 TI at a steep discounted price.

    I don't disagree with your conclusion of your test Mike, but it seems odd to give looks, sound, technology, and performance all equal weighting. I would play a pink club that sounds like a fart if it was the best performing.

    @BigDawgCAM Před 11 měsíci +1

    One of the things I overlooked online before trying the Ping LST is just how flat it is - It starts at 57 deg and cannot be moved upright at all. Meanwhile, the Stealth 2+ can be adjusted all the way from 57 to 61 deg
    Didn't realize how much of a difference it would make but as a taller player, I absolutely hated the G430 LST because of how flat it was. Encouraged way too much of a slice even when I hit it flush

      The price of golf in general is reaching unsustainable levels. It will eventually crash like any other bubble once interest or affordability wains

    Pings pricing of the 430LST FW is the biggest joke in todays equipment.

    I have to laugh when you give the mizuno 3 and the others 4 for performance. The mizuno was the one you did not hit any of those nasty pull hooks - maybe that is why it was shorter ?? And much more accurate… ? Yet lower rated. Logic there somewhere I guess.
