Build A Track Only Using The Behringer Pro-1

- As a follow up to the Neutron only video this time a track with the Pro-1 as a sound source. Like the Neutron one a multi tracked Logic Pro project. I did use a Mooer Ocean Machine during the experimental phase but somehow the flexibility of adding the effects in post was a little more convenient.
My personal opinion about the pro 1, just based on my usage and the sounds I made for the track and just noodling: wow. A lot of character and for lack of a better word, a vintage sound. At least I like it a lot. It's not as flexible as the Neutron but it's got 'that' certain sound. I did not get into patching but there are video's out there with tips and tricks concerning the patching.
As you can imagine, the making of this video took quite some effort. I did start with the drone sound and wanted to make a 'movie-score' kind of intro. So after the drone I did put some chords on top of it and a melody with some internal LPX lib sounds, and that was it. After a few weeks I decided to proceed and make a track with a beat and a shorter intro. I did remove the 'internal' sounds of the intro and made the beat. It's a 6/8 track. But because of the kick (I was to lazy to make one in the Pro 1 as I did in the Neutron video) you get a bit of 4/4 feel. I managed to 'combine' the bridge and the second verse instead of a separate bridge.

It clearly makes a difference when someone have great musical skills and knows how to properly use a synth to make actual music rather than those shitty nonsense tech reviews.

Thanks to those tech videos, this guy decided to get one seeing how he can make use of it. I think both styles of videos have there place and it wouldn't be a fair comparison. Regardless, this track really great and much better than other tracks I've heard that demo this synth!

@@JP-ci3pp This is indeed a great video, but there's no need to slag other reviewers off. Their videos are better than nothing and you can always opt to not watch. Not too long ago there were no gear videos at all :)

That's beautiful, Robert! Shows how much can be done with one little monosynth, a few VST effects, and some time and TALENT. The Pro-1 definitely has character and a nice range of capabilities, and this was a great way to show them off.

The pro1 is the sheeeeit! It is so versatile and really has no limits to it’s use. It sounds incredible and is probably my favourite synth

For all the synths Behringer is releasing the pro 1 seems to has the less "squeaky" VCF and in this song you can hear that in the many sounds it produces

I thinking i need to pick one of these up. I repaired an original Pro-1 back in the 90's for someone, sounded amazing and arp was fun too. Its been in the back of my mind since then this comes along.
Was worried the versatility of the Pro-1 would come at the cost of the fatness of the Model D but I think this has finally convinced me

Just about to buy this synth. I love what it can do. I was listening all over CZcams for some good examples of how musical this synth can get, and mostly found discordant noise. Stumbling across your video really perked my interest because your musicality really shines through in the track you made. Excellent video demo of what this synth can do!!

Thanks, and yes they’re both great sounding synths (well at least in my opinion). Pro 1 is a ‘easy’ simple one and the Arp a bit more flexible.
