Randi, good motivational video! Beside pulling back the blankets and sheets, I also put my pillows in the washer every quarterly and biannually in the dryer to fluffed it up and kills any mold growing. 💐 ❤️MyChi !

The FLYLADY!! I read her many years (10?) ago. I forgot about making your sink shine if it’s the only thing clean, you will still feel better. So glad you mentioned her and that. Another thing I took away from her was to get up and get dressed right away and put shoes on. I do this almost every morning I have indoor Keds, for indoors only. I rarely stay in my pajamas. It does help me get motivated to moving and working. Oddly, especially the shoes. Thanks!

Hi Randi! New follower here. I am coming off of a very lengthy illness. Now we know who was doing the cleaning in our home, me. Things have definitely been neglected when I was "away". Lately the daily and weekly tasks seem so tedious. As soon as I have the energy to clean an area, it needs it again and again. I never seem to make it through all the zones. However, finding you has given me a renewed sense of motivation. I worked really hard Sat and Sun and I was able to fill six bags of clutter. Also, made a dent in the eyesore in our bedroom. I can see the floor again lol! Just kidding, it was not that bad, but definitely had some of my things like magazines and books that needed to be put away, tossed, and or donated. I pre-cleaned the kitchen last night, so this morning it wasn't so bad to get started. Not sure if I will ever make it too your level of expertise, but I am taking it one day, one step at a time. I suffered a brain bleed a few years ago, so my energy level is nonexistent some days. But, I refuse to give up. My first priority is the clutter. It makes it impossible to clean properly. Please keep doing what you do. One question, do you have a video that shows exactly each product you use and why. Also, where each is stored when you're done with it. Hope that's not a dumb question. Hi Valerie! We don’t realize how important our health is until something happens. Decluttering will cut your cleaning time in half, so that’s a great place to start. Just focus on the daily and weekly tasks. Do what you can, and don’t try to do it “all.” I talk a little about those things in every video, but I’m working on putting them together in one video. Remember your house didn’t get that way overnight, it’s not going get back together overnight. Progress not perfection. You got this! 🥰

We have a collection of quirky things. 😂 The old jalopy I used to play with as a kid. The gray man was a gift, it's a toothpick holder.

Dear Randi, I have discovered your channel recently and I truly enjoyed it. As you are very informative and relaxing. Randi, I have a more personal question. I don't know if you work outside home but if not how do you deal with people who think you should go back to " work" after your kids are all grown up?? I know we should not bother what other say but they think we homemakers are lazy if not working " professionally".

I work with math students a local college. Because I don't teach classes, I get the same judgement. I should do more. But there is more to live than "job/career." It's a shame people think that's all there is. Raising kids and taking care of a home is a full time job. And it's the most important job there is. Running a home successfully, requires the same skills as running a business. If they think that homemakers are lazy, then they're not doing it right. You're not a lazy, you're the CEO, COO, and CFO of you household. 😉

I noticed when you are steaming your shirts you only button the top button. Can you tell me if that is better so it won't get wrinkles?
That's a good question. I'm not sure? It's just faster for me to fasten one button, and I don't have a problem with the wrinkles. 🤷🏼♀️
