i actually like both version. as a bjork and corinne fan, i always appreciate my favourite artists covering my favourite artist's songs. i think it just makes me compliment them more. bjork is quirky and corinne has its subtlety, complete opposite but that's what makes it very beautiful.
i cannot BELIEVE i never heard this till today. bjork has always been super magical for me but this is phenomenal! this has literally sunk into my soul. thank you for posting it.
man she made so many good songs. shes like the female version of bob marley. u could listen to a whole album without switching a single track. just sit back and relax. let the music play and get lost in another world. hear the gentleness of her voice and let it take you on a journey. :)
This is such a beautiful version. Björk is the muse that I press towards when wishing to listen to the kinds of music that is deeply loved. Corinne does quite a beautiful rendition. I would not have expected anything less from Corinne's masterful and yummy singing voice.
I always liked how tender and sweet this cover was. The OG by Björk is haunting, very sensual but it lacks warmth. I actually didn't fully appreciate it until I heard this version tbh. Shame it's not on Spotify in the US
I think no ones singing version or adaption to date isn't even close to being as beautiful as Bjorks...her song is truly a thing of great beauty. Even a fool knows Bjork has written a masterpiece. And her singing of Venus as a boy is unequaled.
i love corrine's voice so much. bjork is un-coverable but she did an amazing job and it's such beautiful cover. i love how she took it and made it more soft and less intense than the original
I've been listening for Bjork and Corinne for years now and CZcams never recommended me this cover like CZcams YOU FUCKING FAILED THIS TIME. MAGICAL COVER.
A RnB artist making a soul cover of Björk? Alright, I think it's now irrefutably proven that Björk is one of the most influential and talented true artists of our times, one of the top 10 names to remember in recent music.
Love it! I love Bjork's original, too. They both put their all into it, and both made it work for them. Originality at its best for both of these women. Wow! Thanks for sharing!
The beauty of this song is how well it gets the message across and how it becomes personalized by who is singing it. I mean, Madonna's tone of wanting/admiration is very different from, say, Danzig =P
She's no Bjork, duh. She puts her own sound to Bjork's beautiful words and melodies. It's a great cover if you love Corrine Baily Rae. If you love Bjork , then you realize that it doesn't have the feel of Bjork doing her own masterpiece, but a tribute to the beauty of the song from a person who can sing, Corrine, and who did a cool spin on it to give it a lovely R&B feel.
Yeah! I've heard 4 versions of this song and each one seems personal to the person and fitting their vibe. 2 from Bjork (the original and the "dream mix" version), this one, and the one from Zoey
"I am a fan of music period. Music is neither right nor wrong. It just is!!" i love this comment :) too bad people insist on passing off their opinion as a fact!
This is very pretty... I don't normally listen to real soulful music, but this cover is so beautiful that I might just have to start digging for more good tunes like this... I like them both, of course maybe Bjork's more because it's artful and spunky, but this version is really giving it a good reputation. I normally don't like covers, either, but Corrine's I really enjoyed..
I know I'm probably going to get mad hate for this but I actually like this better then Bjork's original version. I love the hell outer Bjork but Corinne Bailey Rae really made me see the whole picture and it feel so good in my soul
People get very precious about songs and people doing covers. Don't forget this has always happened in music, Beatles, Stones, Hendrix have all done covers at the start of their musical careers. As long as your still writing your own stuff too does it really matter? Corinne is talented writer and performer, she obviously loves this song and wanted to do her own interpretation. 'jckctin', things aint that bad!!
I'm not going to put her down by saying she's not as a good as Bjork. This is a nice cover, and while Bjork cannot be paralleled, neither can CBR. Not everyone can sing, now, but those who can should not be compared to others, only contrasted.
@mynameisveris I feel like Bjorks version is more expressive. I guess because she's more connected to the song since she writes the majority, if not, all her own material.
@georgianmilan1 You're right. I like this version, it's different as it should be. But, yeah, I'm going to love the original no matter what because Bjork's music seeps into my soul, lol.
@lilducky85 I agree with you too! Excellent way to say how the music touches your soul. Corrine's version is too breezy but still soulful whereas Bjork's original is a masterful exploration of raw and true emotions. :)

+Tracy Hutchings THIS IS EXACTLY HOW I FEEL THIS SECOND.
this is exactly how i feel this second too!
ok Is no a joke i feel right now like you
Tracy Hutchings ikr, I love this song so much, you should hear Sharon sables cover, and the vitamin string quartet as well.
I'm only finding it now. But so glad I did!!
Here bc this song got taken of spotify😭
Her voice makes me so happy! 😍
Tyler Bre'Ana she SMILES through he singing and you can tell! Music is her Joy.
she ate tf out of this cover
He's exploring
The taste of her
Arousal
So accurate
He sets off
The beauty in her
He's venus as a boy
Why am I discovering this only now ? In two thousands fucking sixteen.
Here I am in 2021 🙄 😂
@@mandanayousefi3390 here i am in 2022 lol i only knew Kali's one and the original💀
Holy shit this is a good cover
man she made so many good songs. shes like the female version of bob marley. u could listen to a whole album without switching a single track. just sit back and relax. let the music play and get lost in another world. hear the gentleness of her voice and let it take you on a journey. :)
I played with my guitar for a while and figured out the chords: Bm and Am.
Then switch to Bm7 and C on the chorus!! Happy tuning!!!
I love you
I loooove this!! I love Bjork's original as well but dayum this is beautiful!
just imagine waking in a modern house on the edge of the cliff and hear this wonderful song •♪°☆
Then throwing things off, listening to the sounds they make
on their way down and following with your eyes 'til they crash
This is such a beautiful version. Björk is the muse that I press towards when wishing to listen to the kinds of music that is deeply loved. Corinne does quite a beautiful rendition. I would not have expected anything less from Corinne's masterful and yummy singing voice.
Her voice is so pretty
I listened to her 6-8 years ago. British, isn't she? She's really good.
Fantastic cover of one of my all-time favourite songs.
I love this cover. She has such a sweet voice
@actiondy This was released on a Special Edition of the CD. I believe it was on a 2 disc set.
Bjork is one of her idols, I find this cover very sweet and its more of a tribute to Bjork.
Never knew she had covered Bjork song and it sounds natural.
Always loved this cover. Had it on a compilation album of covers years ago and never found it again until now. Just lovely.
I like it but don't love it like I do the original. Beautiful cover, I just like that disturbed feeling I get from bjork
best ever cover of this song.
Got to love Corrine. Anything she touches is beautiful and this version of 'Venus as a Boy' does not disappoint.
man. why haven't I heard this version... she killed it
i love this version along with Bjork's, both equally amazing
I love this song so much! Thank u, Corinne for covering it! 💛
literally just squirmed and tingled from this beauty!!!!LOVE IT
I always liked how tender and sweet this cover was. The OG by Björk is haunting, very sensual but it lacks warmth. I actually didn't fully appreciate it until I heard this version tbh. Shame it's not on Spotify in the US

Gorgeous cover!
lovely. i do love this, but i also like the oriental sound to bjork's original.
Finding this song has literally completed my life!
i love corrine's voice so much. bjork is un-coverable but she did an amazing job and it's such beautiful cover. i love how she took it and made it more soft and less intense than the original
Kali uchi made me realize people are covering this masterpiece. Absolutely love these versions
I've been listening for Bjork and Corinne for years now and CZcams never recommended me this cover like CZcams YOU FUCKING FAILED THIS TIME. MAGICAL COVER.

what a cool bjork cover. i really really really like this
bjork sits there rubs eggs onherself for 3 mins .. drove me insaine
Favorite cover from this song 💜
I know right! This has been my fave for sometime now.
How dare you touch that song ?!!! ...OK you can...
Love it!
I love Bjork's original, too.
They both put their all into it, and both made it work for them.
Originality at its best for both of these women. Wow!
Thanks for sharing!
Wow this is sublime and Soothing truly nice version with harmony going on Oooooo pinch me
Hermoso y exquisito cover de la grandisima Björk,muy bueno!!
I recently discovered Bjork and just now found out an artist who gives me great nostalgia from early childhood made a cover of one of Bjork’s songs!
The beauty of this song is how well it gets the message across and how it becomes personalized by who is singing it. I mean, Madonna's tone of wanting/admiration is very different from, say, Danzig =P
Sono super fan di Björk e non avevo mai ascoltato questa cover
Davvero bella : diversa ma uguale all'originale.
❤️🎶😍
simply lovely, i love how a song can be adapted
She's no Bjork, duh. She puts her own sound to Bjork's beautiful words and melodies. It's a great cover if you love Corrine Baily Rae. I have to say I enjoy this cover more than the original 😍 i believe that im venus as a boy❤
I had no idea she did a cover of this song! This is pretty nice.
favorite bjork song
just open your heart, I really like bjork and corinne too, they are full of love and they express it on their own way.
Yeah! I've heard 4 versions of this song and each one seems personal to the person and fitting their vibe. 2 from Bjork (the original and the "dream mix" version), this one, and the one from Zoey

This is my favorite cover of a Björk's song ever

leeds lad here, stunning version of an amazing song x
... venus as a boy
CBR has great taste. Such a classy and unique lady.
wow this is actually beautiful! i'm in love with her and Bjork's version. :)
amazing voice ♡
I LOVE Bjork but I appreciate the attempt to Corinne. It's very nice!
This is a really well done cover in my opinion. Has a nice soul feeling to it.
why there is not this version of venus as a boy at SPOTIFY
there was for the longest time, tried checking today and it was removed :(
BRAVO!!! VERY NICE!!!
Great lyrics and great voice, different from Bjork yes, but just as lovely.
tfw the cover is SO much better than the original
ahhh shivers on chorus
Best cover by far. A lot better than Kali Uchis cover.
I'm not going to put her down by saying she's not as a good as Bjork. This is a nice cover, and while Bjork cannot be paralleled, neither can CBR. Not everyone can sing, now, but those who can should not be compared to others, only contrasted.
Excelente adaptación...no deja de sentirse a Bjork y no deja de ser Corinne ;-)
so smooth, pretty an altogether makin' me feel better! ^^
A worthy effort by CBR. *applause*
essa muher nao erra nunca
thank you for noticing
@mynameisveris I feel like Bjorks version is more expressive. I guess because she's more connected to the song since she writes the majority, if not, all her own material.

yes its a duo set.... first cd is purple the second is green... it has alot of good music
Tan hermosa Corinne como esta versión!!!
So softly, i like it
This and Booboo'zzz All Stars's cover are the best.
I tought that ^^
now, in an advertisment, in spain, it sais: "he believes in the beauty" with a song but not singed by Björk or Corinne bailey =D
Wow, what a good version. Björk fan here too.
are you still a fan?
Great version!
amo esta version, esta genial muy sensual me pone la piel de gallina...
@cecillbill I think you're so right about that, she isn't Björk doing her masterpiece, but it's a beautiful cover anyway.
Beautiful 😻
so good omg
anyone know why this got taken off spotify 😭😭
literally ruined me
this is beautiful
dreamy cover, love both
A Great Cover. :)
I loooove it
this is good, i prefer bjork's original version though
