More 27GR95QE vs other monitor Videos coming up friends... Hit that Like friends... Thats the only way we can grow the channel so I may invest more in the channel!!
I'm using the AW2723DF now, I'm really impressed with it. I was worried switching from 32" to 27" but honestly the bezel size and the immersive high PPI makes up for it.
Just bought this monitor this week and I am blown away! Went from an Asus 1080p 144hz to this and the difference is definitely noticeable. Happy to see this video after and has further enforced my love for it!
Awesome friend. I love it too. Im about to make more gameplay videos on it. :)
Just love the song you end all the videos, do not ever change it!!!!
Thx friend.. I appreciate it. I also love the song. It really is how I see or feel the channel I think it captures it perfectly..
I am buying this monitor soon. It has amazing features 👽 especially the bezels I already fell in love with it
It really is great. Just remember there are no local dimming zones but if you set up properly you should have no problems with the quality. I love it
Please dont buy it, i have had 4 aw2721ds they always get dead/stuck pixels
I'm pairing this with my LG C2 42! Thanks for the review. I think all have all my use cases covered now :)
Sold the Neo G7 and picked up the LG 27” oled, monitor is amazing!!
Cool! All these monitors are great. But for sure some do things a bit better. I cant wait for QD OLED monitors eventually...
I love the AW2723DF Best Monitor i ever have. Soooo Smooth, clear and bright ❤Perfect !!
So smooth is right! I love it too :)
just bought IT went from a dell 1080p 70hz to THIS cant wait to get IT shipped
I had to go through *_FOUR_* of these displays to get a "good" one. Two from Amazon and two direct from DELL. The two I bought direct from DELL were brand new models with manufactured date January 2023 & Revision A01. They were also the worst. The 2 units from Amazon were manufactured date August 2022 & Revision A00 and they both had *_SIGNIFICANTLY_* less backlight bleed.
I disassembled all four units and the newer Revision A01 models have a different internal layout. Specifically, the cables are both bundled and routed differently -- in my opinion, this has resulted in a design flaw and I was able to greatly reduce the backlight bleed (which was NOT PRESENT on the old Revision A00 models) by unbundling and rerouting the cables.
Mine says aug 2022 Rev A00 and is from Amazon too
Erik, would you be able to detail your changes somewhere?
that explains a lot, why my had extrem backlight bleed that was even noticeable in normal use, not even dark scenes, i returned mine and ordered a new one hopefully its the old revision
Everytime I think about buying a new IPS monitor I remember the horrors I went through with my previous IPS monitors, and I end up just sticking with my MG279q which is NO backlight bleed. The first unit itself was perfect.
That being said all the dell IPS panels I had (aw3418dw and aw3420dw) both didn't have any backlight bleed either. The LG ultrawides I got were horrendous!! I went through 4 before giving up.
Since 1 month a LG34GN850-B for 605€+3 years warranty extra for 20€ (together 5 years) and I'm soooo happy, BB, no pixels problems, nothing and...I'm still drooling.
For 1300€ and more OLED??
In 1-3 years possibly, then the oled price drops more than i lose with the lg resale 😉
I never play in the dark and during the day the difference between oled vs ips is relative.Oled still has too many quirks is anything but perfect.
I think in 2-3 years coming Nano LEDs and this is the perfect technology.
I have aw2723df great Monitor
Its very good. At least for the price.
Hows the motion blur on this monitor ?
@@DisplayRealityI think there’s no real competition in its price range or am I wrong?
this channel help me a lot choose oddesy g7 monitor
Awesome friend.. :)
So far this monitor is fun and fast. This price is good for 280hz...
Thanks for the review Viktor! I just picked up the OG G7 Odyssey 32inch after a ton of research and wanting a 2k 240hz monitor. I'm just debating whether I should return it and go for this 27inch Alienware as it would save me £100 compared the G7 and seems like the picture, bezels, lack of curve seem like all positives.. What would your recommendation be based on your experience with both?
The G7 would give you a deeper picture. Side by side it looks deeper more 3deeish. But... the AW27 is fast and bright. Its really curve vs flat. If you love your picture on the G7 the only thing thats diff would be flat and a less deep picture. Dont get me wrong the AW27 is awesome but the G7 is more impactful. Ill see if I can side by side them on a live stream soon..
@@DisplayReality appreciate your reply my man. Timing wise it's not great as ideally I'd pick up the new Corsair OLED 27inch 240hz but I think I'm a few weeks away from that and ideally need a monitor now lol. I'll keep an eye out for your streams. Thanks for all your hard work and content you drop it's been super helpful.
so what you think is this monitor aw2723df is it worth to buy? i am using samsung odyssegy g7 va curved at the moment but want to try ips flat panel
I’m going today to pick up my aw2723df monitor for my Xbox series x… I know I know!! Several overkill for a console that only ranges from 120-144fps depending on the game but it’s an investment for when I am finally able to build or buy a gaming pc so I don’t have to spend a couple grand on a good pc and then buy yet another new monitor to match up to it!! But still my series X is going to look AMAZING on a 1440P @120hz for the time being!!
How do you like it? Sorry for late reply. This will future proof you eventually when you get that pc. But for xbox I love it.
I love my aw2723df monitor, i put mine on dci-p3, set the brightness to 75% and contrast to 85% and it looks absolutely amazing
I love it too. :) its awesome
Hi
Please tell me which monitor is better Dell aw2723df or Gigabyte M27Q X for the same price? Some say that Dell is better, some say Gigabyte, I am currently looking for the best option for games and watching series/movies. Help please!
I liked this one but the contrast was kind of poor. Honestly the difference between 280 and 165 wasn't enough for me to keep it. I wanted something with more impactful HDR on I went with the cooler master tempest 4k mini led.
Has the firmware fixed some of the issues? Any issues that bug you? As long as your happy thats all that matters.. :)
@@DisplayReality I got lucky and purchased after the latest firmware. The latest firmware fixed local dimming in SDR and fixed flicker with local dimming + gsync on. I'm still test driving it, but so far the 4k and HDR experience have been extremely impressive. I had the LG OLED 27 and this Dell for about 3 weeks each. The LG looked gorgeous but had so much dark area flicker when playing battlefield 2042 despite having between 150-200fps. It was bugging me. The Alienware was impressively fast but after OLED blacks just looked gray lol. So I looked for the next best thing, mini LED.
@@yoitsmegabe great! True that mini led really enhances the picture. Vertical zones (only in hdr) like on this DF dont cut it anymore..
@@DisplayReality I forgot to add, the monitor does take long to switch inputs or come back from deep sleep. That's kind of annoying.
Hi. If you had to pick between the Alienware AW2723DF or the LG 32GQ850-B, what would you choose for primarily gaming with occasional media use?
Is LG 32GQ850-B on 32" as crisp as Alienware AW2723DF on 27"? Wich one is visually better and provides a better experience mostly in gaming?
Thank you in advance for your answer!
I would pick the 32GQ850. I use it in my living room and it looks crisp and contrasty. Well built and can do everything you need it to. Wide viewing angles are nice too. A Work and play monitor.. for sure.. handles light reflections really well.
I own the LG OLED but bought a Vesa Stand on Amazon to ratchet it down a few inches lower to my desk.otherwise you get blasted by it.
Ewwww ips. You say you don't see irl the ips glow, but that's really sus. Every single ips I've seen you can easily notice the glow. And the brighter the setting, the easier it gets.
You also say it's hard to show the performance on video, but with ufo test photos this can be done, even if you can't get gear to measure pixel rise and fall times.
The ips glow is picked up by the camera but when I showed the angle you can see no glow from the corners. Only top and bottom. The Standard ips look. It really is uniform. At least mine is.
Deze monitor vandaag gekocht had voordien een LG27BP800 die was heel goed maar de Alienware wauw wat een beest.
Congrats friend..
Great review Vik,
Hey what's that futbol, game??? Looks like a fun game to try out.
Hey man... its called Pixel Cup on steam. its really fun. I saw it on Linus Tech tips.. it even has Ultrawide support
Is it actually a good monitor don't you have any kind of back light bleed or screen flickering problem?
Hey, what is that game at 9:12? does anyone know? looks like Sensible Soccer :D
I have a 4090 and I wanna retite my 1080p 360hz AW because all this Performance feels wasted I Had the QD Oled AW but I hated the 21:9 Loved the Pannel tho now I wanted to try the LG OLED but I think I gonna Go for the AW instead price wise I save so much and I can wait until OLED matures
Right now its 599 on the dell website. Im sure soon on amazon too. Great price for the speed and quality. The new AW 500hz at 800 is too much
If only this monitor was 4K...
Hello, for you what is the best IPS panel you recommend ? I don't need 240hz, 144-165hz is already perfect for me, i just want an ips with the less ips glow and good black uniformity possible... Can you recommend me something ? Ty for your answer ! :)
My best IPS is the LG 32GQ950. 4k 144hz 32 zones atw polarizer. At 899 or cheaper its the strongest and beat IPS built monitor I own. No ips glow (due to the atw polarizer) and very uniform.
@@DisplayReality Thank you very much but for the price its better to get neo G7 no ? Can you recommend me the best 27 inch 1440p monitor ? Ty again ;)
Lg 27gp850
Hello what monitor can you recomend me? around 600$ i am thinking about this alienware monitor.
This monitor is awesome the only thing is the no local dimming on sdr like the older d version. But I love it.
Another monitor wow how many are we up to now about 50?
🤣 happy Sat micheal!!
I love this product
Had nothing but problems with mine going black screen for five seconds or so ever so often. I have a high end PC as well but Alienware had no fix so I had to return mine. Disappointing!
Sorry you had that issue friend..
Will you be reviewing Odyssey g8 oled since you already have Alienware qd oled !
I will be getting one in hopefully soon. Thx
Hello, can you tell me if the Dell s2721dgf supports vrr on PS5? With Sony's update the other month I'd like to know this as I am interested in buying it but I don't know if VRR is supported or not at 1440p resolution. Many thanks
I can check for you. Im hooking up a psvr2 so Ill check it. Ill reply back.
@@DisplayReality I would appreciate that, thanks
So far after the latest ps5 update. Vrr shows only supported at 1080p and 4k. So as if right now 1440p and vrr does not work.
@@DisplayReality Oh right and that's for the dell monitor? Do you think this will get support in the future? Thanks
Whats the soccer game Viktors is playing?
Its called pixel cup on steam. Its really fun. 300fps max limit on a 4080 lol
Here I am a month after a have commented this video today I received my dell aw2723df and used it for about 3 hours , nothing really to worry about beside the backlight bleed .... Backlight bleed is at a serious level at least with my unit... Honestmy I am upset for such a price dell claims this is a high end gaming monitor payed extra 200 bucks compared to the gogabyte 27q x just to make sure I got the best of the best! But unfortently is s not the case If I had to make the choice again I would buy the gigabyte I can't return it since I live in north africa tunisia and I ll have to pay extra money for shipping to france and I ll have to wait ....
There is no way to exchange it? (Dell should pay for it) unless you bought from a third party. Makes ure you are onnsdr. HDR will show too much brightness and the backlight effect is too strong and is bad as it does not have any zones on in sdr mode. Try hdr with local dimming on.
what a review no one mentions if there are speakers?
No speakers here
can somebody tell me whats the difference between the aw2721d and the aw2723df besides the enormous price tag? It seems it 's the same monitor, but some say the 2721d has better HDR, but why did DELL take it away from the shop?
Here is basically the difference its more of a cheaper faster refresh than a replacement:
D = 240hz, 98% DCI-P3, Local Dimming ON in SDR, LED Ambient lighting & GSYNC Module built in.
DF = 280hz, 95% DCI-P3, No Local Dimming in SDR, No LED Ambient Lighting & NO Gsync Module (this specifically lower cost)
@@DisplayReality Thank you so much dude, i'll go with the 21d i think :)
White and ips clow is Good ?
No
Can a 4070ti gpu run 1440p at 280hz?!🙏🏻
yes
I'm a bit worried about if I can run it with a 2070?
You should have no problem depending on the game. Its really nice. I love the colors and ips quality. I run it on a 2080 and have had no issues
@@DisplayReality How many fps are you running?
so no unboxing whatsoever, cool
Still waiting for Oled 32inch 4k 144-240hz monitor
