The ironic thing is that just a few months prior to this (one vision recording), the band was on the verge of splitting up. If not for Live Aid they probably would’ve. John even described them as four individuals working under the name Queen.

Once again, I love the segment. I got so caught up in it that I forgot that I was watching this segment and was then so disappointed when it was over. I loved Brian's words about the band, they were quite touching...and Roger with a grin "That Rotter, Freddie. Thank you again.

@@metallica-fan Tribute bands don't include original members I believe. Q+○ can't be a tribute band because the sound base (drums, guitar) is original Queen.

I saw Queen live in his last live performance with the band. We didn’t know at the time but he was beginning to feel unwell with AIDS and was officially diagnosed in 1987
@@andreamack7867 Well... did Freddie say so about Magic Tour? The stage size especially Wembley was huge with steps and Freddie's microphone became cordless so he needed to run a lot like from one side to the other etc, so he sometimes looks out of the breath controle but I'm not sure if he already had a symptom of Aids.
@@shirabetty8483 it was big and I’m not sure if the stage at Knebworth was as big as Wembley stadium. But he was doing his usual routine of running around the stage. But if you think about it, he was diagnosed with full blown aids in 87, I saw him in 86 so he’d definitely have been getting symptoms

@@shirabetty8483 I’m guessing things like extreme tiredness, lack of energy. Just feeling unwell in general. His doctor advised him to be tested for hiv, the test came back positive and in 1987 he was diagnosed with full blown aids. He died it 91 but it’s possible he caught the virus a decade or so before
