i installed mods but my launch button in bg3 mod manager is greyed out and if i try it the other way it is not loading my mods. i have no idea what i did wrong
Is there a way to open the game wihout mods without constantly putting the mods from the left to the right? I don't want to alway mess up the order

@@virtualcircle285 most likely mod order. Activate 1 mod at a time and test. It will take a bit but will eventually work(assuming mod order issue)

one of the better guides available but for some reason my downloaded mods don't appear in the mod manager
thank you for the guide! very detailed and i could follow the steps properly! i don't know if this has already been asked before, but in order to uninstall/delete the mods that i have intalled i only have to delete the file from the Mods folder on my pc? or are there other steps? and if i don't want to use a mod anymore i only have to drag it from the left side to the right side on the BG3 Mods Manager? it'd be very helpful if you could tell me :D
So there is a difference between disabled mods vs deleted. Using mod manager, if you move the mod to the right side and save the load out, it will be disabled, but not deleted. The only exception is for mods that replace pre existing art. (Example replacing the way astarion looks baseline to look younger) because that overrdies old art in the base game, it will be active regardless and will need manual changes.
To delete mods in general, I delete them manually from my mod folder to make sure I am getting all files required. Some mods will have specific deletion steps depending on the mod.but most are simply deleting the files.
For the script extender it comes out as a word doc when I download it. Is there anyway to fix this?

Do I need to export mod load order before each time I want to play. Or is it once I have it right and already exported I can just open Mod Manager and launch game from then on?
You will need to do it anytime you add new mods, but other than that should be set.

Try running it without the mod manager. You may have a load order issue or a conflicting mod
Ok that's alot easier than I though. My question is about load order. Ive read things that BG3 Mod Manager sets the load order for you correctly and others say you have to set it yourself. What is correct?
Load order still needs to be set if you want full control. I almost never let mods auto.

I have a weird question at the top where it says campaign mine says gustav dev and the friend im trying to play with says main and we cant connect together any way to fix
You both have all the same mods saved and load order? I am not too sure in terms of the campaigns. I haven't ran into this issue.

I was told that the mod fixer is no longer needed and if we install it, it would make the dice not showing when rolling it. Is that still the case?
I haven't had an issue with it. But can confirm some mods don't function without it.
i do everything you say, download the mod, and nothing pops up on the right hand side. refreshing shows no mods, but i have a bunch downloaded. its reading the ModFixer, and Improved UI, but nothing else
At first glance, It sounds like you have the mods saved in an incorrect location. Also, only install 1 mod at a time and test. Not all mods are compatible together, or up to date.

quick question does it take a while for the game to launch if you have a handful of mods, because my game says it is "Running" but it has no game, like there is no Bg3 really running
Sometimes. Install mod 1 at a time and test. Sounds like it may be a loading issue in mod order maybe. Or mods that may be outdated.
@@Blood_Ronin I tried without any mods and even without any I can't launch anything so I'm going to click "verify integrity of game files" to see if anything is wrong and I did this before and it launched but right after that it wouldn't open again
@@Blood_Ronin also all of the mods did run when i clicked "verify integrity of game files" after it launched
@@Blood_Ronin It said "all 677 files successfully validated" and it "Runs" but it doesn't launch
I'm going to uninstall and reinstall it and see what happenes
changing file explorer options didn't fix the hidden app data :/

this video did help a lot, however I'm still having from trouble. I have the mod manager, script extender, mod fixer and native mod loaders installed, my mod manager is reading the mods just fine and I've exported the load order to the game, but none of them are actually working once I launch the game. I know it's hard to troubleshoot when you don't know exactly what I might've done wrong but any ideas would be appreciated

@@Blood_Ronin I appreciate you getting back to me quick the other night but I figured it out! I had to delete the script extender and reinstall it through the tool in the mod manager. Not sure why it wasn’t reading properly, I was getting the message in the bottom of the main menu saying I had the SE installed, but regardless it’s worked out now
Hey boomer here. When I first use BG3MM it is asking for the root folder to start. What does that mean?
Root folder is essentially the folder that keeps all the related files. LIke, the starting point if that makes sense.

I can elaborate on this as I'm having a similar issue so I do the extraction process of the script editor and it let's me do as you do but I don't get any message that the script extender is active and it's doesn't work I've done the extraction and tried to make a json file already amd everything but I can't get it to work
Can I use mod organizer 2? Bg3 mod manager looks very impractical

for some reason my game gets to like %56 then crashes now when i have mods
Check your load order. Also, some mods require a new save file and can't be used mid playthrough.

@@herrinderpus1445 if at main menu it for sure is most likely load order or even a mod that is outdated maybe. Good way to see is to only do 1 mod at a time and test if It works.

Mine wasn't either but ot kind of just took awhile to load for the first time. Make sure you don't have any files separated. The files in the package need to be all in the same place.
it keeps saying mod is not .pak not quite sure whats going wrong but its drivinbg me insane
.pak files are most mods unless just changing graphical things. If it is a graphics things, most likely you need to override the default art in game. Usually if it doesn't install with the mod manager, the mod creator will tell how to install it on the page.

As soon as these videos go into the files I give up. Im computer illiterate, all of my files are a mess and I just feel like an old lady when it comes to this shitt. I long for a nice simple click and drag.

when i try to download a mod it says "missing pak file" do you know how to fix that? the mod im downloading has nothing in it its just a bunch of folders with nothing in it why is that
Sounds like the mod isn't complete or the creator didn't upload the files correctly.
