- The Royal Giant has been a very polarizing card in Clash Royale history and has had many problems that go far beyond balancing issues, which has caused Supercell to make drastic overhauls to different aspects of the game. Expecting a nerf, this video was postponed, but with the developments of evolutions and other shifts in the meta, it's unlikely that will happen! Here's the entire crazy history of this once mid-ladder menace!

I'd like to see the clone spell history, I think it will be interesting to see how over the years it came to now
I think that the clone was really similar with the mirror in terms of balance where it was trash then randomly op then trash again

IMO that's probably their most perfect balancing of a card, making it decent in top ladder, without being menacing in mid ladder, it luckily escaped the faith of the ebarbs and the wizard

The problem was the very high punishement cost of misplacing/mistiming a building. If you failes, you may have wasted up to 5 elixir for nothing. So while it was not a problem for competitive players, it certainly ruined the day of lower arena players. This change was perfect , as it not only fixed the timing problem, it also made connections with it decent enough to warrant a new playstyle at higher levels.

Yeah The Elite Barbarians are scary if not dealt with and joining alongside the Royale Giant is even more terrifying, and if super cell lowered both of their elixir by one it is over for clash royale

During RG hell, I remember being carried so hard by the royal giant to the point that I ended up loving the card more than hating it. It's so simple but so fun to use anyway.
I picked up Royal Giant during that time because I hated xbow
One of the best things of this channel is that he actually lists the music he used in order in the description
I think a history of the skeletons would be a nice video. Considering the skeletons are included in about seven cards I think it would be funny going over how overly easy or how overly complicated it was to balance them
The amount of times they’ve switched between having 3 skeletons to 4 skeletons is hilarious
spear gobbos would be even more interesting imo. especially given the disparity between goblin giant at the top and goblin hut at the bottom
this dude puts so much love into these videos, they are SO informative to the point I watched one or two and I want to play this game that I stopped playing years ago, I watched 1/2 videos so far after I got recommended the mega knight video yesterday but I fully plan to watch them all, great work Gratz!

Seems as though, overall, this card has gotten a happy ending. One rework turned it from a polarising card that was completely useless in competitive but overpowered in ladder into a perfectly balanced, healthy card that saw good use in both competitive and midladder without being overbearing in either.
i dont know what it is but i love this more indepth informational history videos about videogames, even if i dont play them. its just so interesting to listen to someone who is pasionate about a game who tells you the interesting story about a card, a map, a track or whatever. i love you content and i will continue watching every video you release. please keep this up man

What does mean to reach an achievement if it wasn't by your own strength but in the one of an external help
i reached ultimate with goblin drill and miner switching between both decks when they were literally the least used cards. But sadly the achievement is still the same no matter the deck@@cheesecake1255 😮💨

love the videos. i really like this style of video going over the history of something in a game. your channel reminds me of a different channel called false swipe gaming which does a similar thing but with pokemon instead of clash royale cards

To be honest the truth is there is one card that is objectively broken as hell with it having 0 counters and only way to beat it was to use it. Especially these days this card is becoming so meta that it can almost be considered mandatory and that card is the infamous

Is a video on card evolution something to consider? I'm curious to see your perspective on it since it probably could've been a great addition to the game had it not been for level 15, Elite Wild Cards and Supercell's new hyper-monetization approach with updates like the pass "rework".
It would be interesting to hear his thoughts and have a bit of a retrospective on evolutions. Though right now the mechanic is new enough (compared to everything else gratz has covered) that it's still worth giving it some time to see how they play out.

Your videos always make me think back to my highschool days when I would play this game a lot for most of it, how excited I would be for updates, the discussions I would have with my friends about it, how angry I would get over losing a single match, how toxic I used to be, and I just want to go back in time to tell him to take it easy and enjoy himself, be more outgoing, don't care so much about what people might think about you, and to not play so much Royal Giant, cause it's toxic and annoying

I think a history on the Tesla, Zappies, or Sparky would be pretty cool as the cards where always interesting like how the Tesla can hide from spells or attacks and Sparky being a charge troop

I remember when EBarbs came out and I started using them to counter the Royal Giant and it was pretty good at doing that. It was even better after the buff but it didn't last very long...

Something wrong with "A broken card in mid ladder makes it balanced if its not broken in top tier" is that sometimes thing counter it. for example quagsire in Pokémon in theory it should be mid but people love to use it and it does counter some of the great mons in its tier (at least in some earlier gens) if one dealing huge single target damage is good in top tier then tanks will fall and swarms will rise.
