Pekka’s sole existence these days is either to bridge spam, or because people just hates mega knights to an extent

as someone progressing through midladder, I definitely agree with the second part of your argument. Pekka is to specifically counter the megaknight and lazy beatdown decks
I like it counters every cringey midladder card I hate. Hog, mk, lil prince egiant etc. Not much it cant do on defence at mid

@@marcocar5297Because there are some cards like the hunter and royal hogs that survive a pekka hit or more with 1% hp and being able to one shot these cards that shouldn't survive with almost no hp would help the pekka be actual useful

2:36 The Finnish translation does not refer to P.E.K.K.A. as male. Finnish does not have gender specific pronouns, nor does the description contain a word specifying gender. Finnish does however translate horribly with Google translate, which is where the mistake is

The name P.E.K.K.A comes from a common Finnish male name Pekka. It was not originally an acronym in the beta stages of Clash of Clans. It likely started as an inside joke between the devs.
imagine someone naming their child P.E.K.K.A and and finding out what it stands for
Supercell got inspired by a school shooter's name and thought that it could represent originally strong and resilient tank card.
It’s like naming a robot J.O.E. then making Finnish people speculate what it means
P.E.K.K.A, being an acronym, is maybe inspired by D.A.V.E. in the game Backyard Monsters, which is also an acronym, though, it doesn't have what it stands for. D.A.V.E. is named by the creator of the game, David Scott. Backyard Monsters was a popular 2010s game that ran solely on Facebook.
Also, Clash of Clans may be inspired by Backyard Monsters, like The Champion Monsters to Clash of Clans' Heroes.
The Champion Monsters were released on June 18, 2011, which is older than Clash of Clans' release date on iOS, August 2, 2012.
I still prefer to think Pekka says 'Fucking Die' when deployed, makes more sense in my head.

Btw the P.E.K.K.A. acronym comes from the Finnish male name of Pekka, since supercell is a Finnish company. Though Pekka is refered to as a female in the finnish version too, because Finnish doesn't have gender specific pronouns. Hope this helped.

Not all cards are building targeting, you don't play Knight or Valk to connect to tower.

I've been on and off CR throught its years. Been playing since 2017 with some year long pauses, but ever since I unlocked PEKKA I've never took her out of my deck. Even when I stopped playing bc I was frustrated with the meta, I always came back to play with her. Today I got a new account bc I lost the other one (the new one is 3 months old) and she still part of it, and she's responsable for my greatest trophy run ever since I started in 2017 with almost 7000 tropgies. Long live the PEKKA 🙌🏾
I started a new account and had 10k trophy run with my trust Pekka witch I don't care if they are bad I bring them anywhere I go sometimes I use both Pekka and mini Pekka and watch my enemy despair after he thinks I used my defense.

Honestly, all I wanna see is for PEKKA to one-shot more cards. ESPECIALLY against Royal Hogs. I agree with you there.
I’d maybe go further though. +7.1% Damage buff would let it two-shot Hog Riders at the very least, as well as one-shot heavily-overleveled Wizards & Musketeers. It wouldn’t really hurt Hog Rider decks all that much since they tend to be in a very fast cycle deck anyway.

Clash of Clans and Clash Royale veteran here. I started playing both games at release but unfortunately quit a few years back because both games got so messy. I gotta say though, I really enjoyed this type of video. Very nostalgic and cool to see what the old troops went through over the years I missed, new troops and what the meta looks like today. I would love to see a whole video dedicated to my boy Dark Prince (and the Goblin Barrel). Keep up the good work!

funny thing is, i often didint had problems whit pekka decks because i used a jack of all trades deck that was good at stalling whit decent damage what even put down a pekka. it of course would take a bit what gives the other person time but i played my deck in a way that would keep momentum going if more troops arrive. over time the enemie would outweight me in power eventualy so i always had atleast 1 card whit good sunstain AOE and 1 card that can focus down my problem while his other troops are distracted whit whatever i send against them.
the reason i ended up quiting the game was because so many decks just, put down 2 tanks or 1 tank and a royal giant and just spam whatever the enemy seems fit. they always had a direct damage card like fireball to. that is something my deck was helpless about because it relied on stalling what wont work whit such brainless spam because the stuff robbing me the needed time was always unreachable for my troops and i never had more than 2 building only troops in a deck. pekka was easyer to focus down while still dealing whit other troops. i keept playing the variations of this deck because it was the only deck i was consistently winning whit until that time. a skill issue i guess. looking at this deck now, there are so many cards now that have a good chance to cheese my deck that i probably cant use it anymore

2:35 Finnish speaker here. In Finnish there is only one pronoun for describing someone in 3rd person "hän" and it is used for both genders so that can be translated to "her fists" as well

I'm here to correct you on something! In Finnish it does not say anything about P.E.K.K.A being a male since Finland uses gender neutral gender pronouns, but it gets translated to he in English most of the time! (But it's weird since Pekka is a male name)
I'm honestly appalled that CoC got called Royale's sister game as if it wasn't the foundation of the entirety of Supercell. It's the original, CR is the cheap f**king knockoff. (JK boom beach takes that trophy easily)

He and she and other words like that are made to be the same words in finnish. So translation pretty much always get confused. Also the finnish version of the texts dosen't say anything about gender eather

Fun fact,
Before the creation of Clash of Clans, there was a Facebook game called Backyard Monsters, which was pretty much the same concept of CoC. In Backyard Monsters, there was a monster called D.A.V.E., which was a robot monster with high health and damage, with a large housing space. CoC creators mentioned their inspiration from the old Facebook game upon its release. This is likely why P.E.K.K.A., a high health, damage, and housing space troop, has an abbreviated name

i ain't played CR in years, and recent additions make me reluctant to get back into it, but regardless these videos are really nice to watch. learning the history of cards for a game i used to play is pretty entertaining.
