I've spent a few days watching videos about IEW SSS and this is the absolute best video I've seen! Thank you for doing this side by side comparison. It has helped answer my questions!
I'm so thrilled to hear that! I spent a lot of time planning these videos after using both the levels so your comment made my day!
Thank u Laura for another great informative video!! I’m so excited to have my daughter do 1A in the Fall 😁.
I can't wait to hear what you think about it once you've started
New sub here. Thanks for sharing a comparison for the 2 years. I’m pretty set on going with sss level A but can’t get myself to purchasing yet because of the long video lectures. I also have a channel mainly about homeschooling and glad to connect! Looking forward to checking out your website.
Thank you for stopping by! The long videos can be split into shorter sections. They are on average about 1 hour but you can do them in 2-3 batches per week. You basically watch a single video for the week, so you can split it any way you like or follow the suggested schedule.
The videos aren't filled with information because Andrew teaches this in front of a group of kids. . So he allows them to open their books, takes notes, and complete short or timed assignments. And all this is included in the video time. That's why they might look long.
@@MonkeyandMom that’s encouraging. Thank you!
@@TheChan7 Did you try it out? They offer 3 weeks for free and you can see the lesson length and how your kids like that before committing to buy it.
Bună!
Dacă am înțeles bine, 1 A este pentru copiii din clasele 3-5?
Manualele acestea sunt o curricula completa?
Cum se împarte materia aceasta pe 3 ani (clasele 3,4,5)? Merci mult.
We've started 1A in 5th grade, and I recommend starting later if your children struggle with writing (or with English language- ESL).
SSS doesn't have any specific grades, it has levels instead.
IEW suggests that if your kids are reading at a 3rd-4th grade level you can start with 1A (mine was an advanced reader -high school level- and I still chose 1A because he was really hating writing). The fact that we started at a lower level helped boost his confidence and he is now able to write independently. He still doesn't like writing but his skill improved by leaps and bounds!
