Question, husband just installed a turbo charger on his 1996 NPR and it won’t start. We are trying to locate the fuel shut off to crank the engine but can’t seem to find it. Please help
The fuel shut off lever is located on top of the injector pump. Probably had a cable from the lever to a nylon wrapped(like a sock or pouch) with am electric motor inside that actuates when the key is on or off to open or close the valve on the injection pump

I do it 2 ways I apply air to the fuel tank while covering the vent on the tank and loosen the lines at the filter. One fuel is there I pump the primer to its stiff. Loosen the fuel injector lines at the injectors crank till fuel comes then tighten each one. Should fire right up
Hey man so i have same truck n motor minw is 1992 I put everything back together on the pump got it to start. Now it miss fires hard knocking sound repair the fuel nozzles now it doesn't stay on
@@davidtrejo4555 is the fuel line that goes from the fuel tank to the lift pump. The filter screen screws inside the banjo bolt that connects that line to the lift pump

@@magnificentshine1 We found it for the 1992 4BD2T. It's 8 deg BTDC. We worked through the timing procedure, and it showed the injector pump sending fuel to #1 at about 80 deg BTDC, so it's time for a rebuild on the injector pump. Also the #4 injector line isn't reaching enough pressure to fire the injector. It still runs surprizingly. Just lots of white smoke at startup and lower power than we should be getting.
@@johndorazio2400 the transmission is computer controlled along with the temp sensor and other sensors. If it doesn't have a good clean ground connection between the frame and trans it won't shift into over drive and someone the temp gauge will read hot. I fought this demon for a couple of weeks. New water pump, rebuilt radiator, new thermostat. My next thing was had to be a cracked head and my son was about 11 at the time and wanted to help. He said dad can I replace this broken wire? I said sure have at it. Bought a $7.45 ground battery cable from auto zone and he put it on. Sure as hell that fixed it completely after I down close to $2k fixing all the unnecessary things.
I have the same isuzu and it’s having a weird issue. It looses power after driving for a few minutes or when it is under a bit of a load. It feel like it doesn’t have fuel pressure or possibly No boost pressure. If you could leave maybe a contact number to reach out to you to maybe get an idea of what’s going on I would really appreciate it. Thanks

Ya I can. If I remember one bracket comes off the power steering pump then there is one up top and one off to the side on the bottom

That’s fine as long as you don’t turn the crankshaft, you need to be at tdc of the compression stroke.
There is also a screen in the inlet of mechanical pump it is very common for it to get clogged with gunk.

There is one screw that has a screen inside of it and I can't remember where it goes there's only one of it in all the system

Put an electric fuel pump on it from a super duty Ford you can buy it right at autozone. Quick and easy

Did you by chance find a way to turn the pump up?
Yes there is a screw and a cam on the side you can turn up. Do it slowly to see what works good just watch the egt
