Don’t know if anyone cares but my Dad returned from Vietnam at 20 years old.
13 months in the jungle broke a small town young man’s spirit.
He heard this song and thought “If ever have a little girl she will be Amanda.”
Believing he would never have children, he put the thought out of his mind.
He drank and ran for ten years until he met a woman that just loved him.
He became the man he always should have been.
When I was born he told everyone I was Amanda.
My mother and I never knew why he chose the name, he just recently told us at 70 years old.
That’s quite an honor to me.

IDK why my father decided to get a German Shepard rescue a year ago but the dog is going on 2 and completely WILD.
My Dad had to drop off a gift for friend in a retirement home (couldn’t go in bc Covid).
He took his giant German Shepard with him and just came in cursing bc the dispensary is closed today lol.
Pretty good for a 75 year old dude 😁.
