Hello,,, i have my Router DW625 with a collet size of 12mm, but all of my router bits are all1/2” (12.7mm)diameter shank, and it doest fit to collet cone. Is there anyone who can give me an advice what model number for 12.7mm collet size .thanks

Really? The Dewalt collets are marked 12.7. If you actually have one marked 12mm, it can probably be changed for the standard one. Remember when changing collets that the old one will snap out and the new one must snap-in to the nut before putting back in your router. DO NOT put the new collet directly in the router. It MUST be snapped in the nut first. (Dewalt DW6905 1/2-Inch Collet) If you don't hear or feel the snap, it's not in the nut far enough.

Hello, we would need to know the manufacturer and model number of your router and if it will accept a 1/2" shank router bit. But if you are asking if you can use a 1/4" shank router bit with a 1/2" cutter, the answer is yes.

Nah you can't use a bigger bit on a smaller collet. Only the other way (with the adapter)

is it possible to replace the nut in the same collet?

They snap in but I have found it easier to buy a set of nuts with the collets already set in to avoid damaging the collet or nut trying to snap the collet out and in. They do not cost much and save time when switching bits of different shaft size.

Only if the thought on the drive can fit the larger shaft. The manual should have the answer.

Most smaller routers will only take 1/4 inch though.

This video skipped the most difficult step. How to replace a 1/2” collect with a 1/4”. The rest is pretty obvious.
