That was a fairly even match despite black short’s punch form. Like someone else mentioned, he has good distance management.
When you have a guy with funky punch form, test his power on your guard and if you can handle it keep your guard up and try walking em’ down and keep forward pressure.
He was mostly trying to counter-punch and couldn’t initiate and box from the outside.
Staying in midrange/inside throws a lot of counter-punchers off because a lot of counter-punchers have issues throwing combinations, which is required for keeping someone with good inside defense out of punching range.
When you box a counter-puncher, and ain’t able to score consistently, you let them reset and make the rounds a lot closer than what they could be if you just stay in a range where you both can trade.

White dude has GREAT defense! All the shoulder blocks and distance management. Just doesn't really know how to initiate, if he got some more sparring to time counters he'd be awesome!
