If she had put all of the powder together in the final mix she might have been right
It probably would have turnt into a dark muddy purple because she had so much more red, purple and blue
But because she used the same amount of each color she got brown
Also I would argue that putting all of the powder together ( or maybe something like 10% of each color ) the result would have represented her color collection more accurate ( because of each individual purple for example there is much less produkt in the final mix then from each individual White)
Ever thought of making a "celebration of color" soap line? like say, your theme for one is the color yellow. You have them all mixed together for the main bar, then have the individual colors as embeds, frosting, etc? And have the matching glitters and holo (because holo)! Then repeat the ideas through the rainbow!

When you mix all the colors together it will almost always be:
-greyish when you have all the colors of the rainbow equally + black and whites,
-brownish when you have all the colors of the rainbow in equal amounts,
-greenish when you have small amounts of redish colors,
-purplish when you have small amounts of yellow,
-a dull orange when you have small amounts of blue,
-bluey-gray when you have lots of cold-toned colors,
-and lastly like a dirty crimson when you have lots of warm-toned colors.

It would have most likely been an earthy purple if you had mixed together the full quantity of each color range at the end rather than doing an equal part of each of those cups, since the purple, blue and red cups were the most full.
Yup that's how Sofia got the weird Frankenstein color
I was so sad when she only took one scoop from each cup instead of combining all the cups first.
Or if she did something like taking the weight and then adding, for example, 20% of each.

Not doing that opens up doing an "All my ____" soap in the future, and while I would have loved a more scientific distribution ratio of Xmg of each colorant, she might not have the fine scale measures since the bulk of her needs are on a larger scale.
it might have ended up more straight-up brown rather than slightly purple-toned brown because you mixed all the color CATEGORIES together in an equal ratio rather than _every colorant_ in an equal ratio, which would've ended up with more red, blue, and purple in the mix compared to the others. even though you have more different colorants for purple and blue, the amount of purple that went into the megamix was the same as the amount of green, orange, etc. that's how saf ends up with more purple tones despite virtually every color being included in the mix, the amount of purple and red in the total mix is much more than the other colors.

I’d love to see each colorant mixed into a bit of Cold process soap and poured down the length of a loaf mold (in rainbow order of course) then when you cut it you might end up with a billion dots of all the colors!

Same! I’ve seen enough of rainbow slime videos to know it all just turns brown.
I hoped she was going to do an in the pot swirl or something, not completely blend them all together.
You aren't dumb! You probably would have ended up with a different colour had you not premixed all the colours individually and then added an equal amount of each average colour to the final concoction. You probably do own more reds and blues and purples, but they just didn't end up as a representative proportion of the final colour. The final mix was a teaspoon of each colour regardless of how many reds went into red and how many yellows went into yellow and how many blacks went into black.

You can call the multicolor multi-scent soap "A Royal Concoction"
It's not silly to think it'd be blue, red, or purple. When I worked in a paint shop in a car manufacturing plant, the leftover paint goop at the end of the day was always a dark blue. I liked how this turned out. Definitely need to mix the glitters and the scents!

Hey Katie! Just a tip I think your theory would have worked out had you mixed all of the colorants together instead of taking a scoop from each group. I know it's a bit of a waste for that much sheer mica, but I'd love to see a part two if you still have them separated! Maybe use that for the base of the soap you're putting the glitter on top of maybe? Idk just a thought!

I think when it comes to mixing colors, from a satisfying perspective, it's most satisfying to see the colors become fully homogeneous. Any speck that isn't Incorporated sticks out like a sore thumb, and I feel at peace when it's finally mixed lol
