I always thought that Bloods in LA was an alliance of non-Crip set….? Denver, Athens, Bishops, BH, BPS, Villains, Brims, and Pirus…etc? It just seems as if since the Pirus originated in Compton , that they held on to a little bit more of there own autonomy when they joined the alliance than the other sets did? …. I’m glad that he said that they still own their house in Compton to this day. One of the biggest mistakes that black people have made over the last 40-50 years is letting go the properties that were inherited from the older generation by means of either neglect or by seizure due to foreclosure or unpaid taxes. And I understand that there were many different things that factored into this situation like the riots, unemployment, failing school districts, and the crack epidemic; but I feel like we have to end this cycle at some point. Sooner rather than later.

Is this the first Guatemalan or half Guatemalan interviewed on street tv? Lots of GUatemalans in LA but we rarely hear anything about Guats. Guats are pretty laid back for the most part. There are a surprising number of Black Guatemalans too. He said his fam is from puerto barrios there was two different black communities over there.

To me, Piru And Blood are the same thing. They are 1 just broken into 2. No different then having a cousin. You and your cousins are from different sides of family BUT YOU ARE STILL FAMILY!. See Bloods started in LA. Piru started in Bompton. Same thing. Just different Hoods, Names, & Colors. They both operates together under an alliance formed against crips tho. At that meeting on Piru St. it was both PIRU AND BLOODS attending together. How I view it is Blood covers the LA section of California and Piru covers the Compton section of California. Bloods and Pirus function together. They just don’t Politic together due to when both was started each founder had separate layouts and rules. That’s the reason a Blood can’t be a Piru is because of that. Pirus have different enemies than Bloods. For example, Pirus and Brims don’t have no conflicts. Pirus and Hoovers don’t have no conflicts. But Brims and Hoovers are into it with each other. So Piru being Piru they don’t get into that between them they stay neutral for what is needed. Another example, A Piru could fight neighborhood crips with both Brims and Hoovers. A piru can stand in a room respectfully with either or. But a Brim and Hoover can’t be in the same room together. My guess is the reason for the separation is because of how the crips are mapped out. You got some over here and some over there and then some somewhere else but they all different ya feel me? Like a compton crip is not a LA crip and neither one of those are Long Beach crips. All 3 different types. And everybody can’t reach everybody like they want. Long Beach crip is not calling shots in LA. LA crip is not calling shots in Compton. Only Long Beach crips call shots in Long Beach. It was the spread of crips I believe that’s what made Pirus and Bloods have the relationship they have. We outnumbered fighting the same people different groups different places so we got over here y’all get over there and we work together in this State against them. With that being said Yes I believe Piru and Bloods are the same. They just function together. Parties, Business, Common Enemies and family ties. However they just don’t get in each other’s business the politics are different. And Piru been around much longer before the Blood Gang came. Piru St. Boys goes all the way to when the first ever crip was alive moving around before it was a “crip gang”. when blood gangs came it was already multiple sets of crips out already. It started on the Westside but they main gathering spot was in Leuders and over time i guess it became known as the HQs. I even heard Bobaluie say all the Rus hung out in Leuders Park. Even heard some OG Bloods from Watts and the Eastside say that everybody hung in Leuders. It was a safe haven for Bloods and Pirus early on in the late 70s early 80s
