I think this is just an issue with critics honestly. Same thing happened to the Mario movie
Yep
Exactly
I wouldn't say it's the same situation. This movie was only enjoyable because of the Easter eggs and things only a fnaf fan would understand. Otherwise it's a weird movie.
@@solomonpro4147thats actually true im happy that this movie is finally released and i get to watch it
Nah honestly, I got to watch it yesterday night, and it felt so odd and it felt like nothing was happening. Pretty boring in my opinion. WAY less epic than the trailer.
Pretty sure the negative reviews are from critics who aren’t fans of the games or know nothing about it at all
Nope, I love the FNAF lore and I thought it was pretty mid
As a fan of the game
Yes the movie is ass
The lore is all over the place
Some plot holes
+many cameo we expect to appear didn't appear
Exactly
I've liked the game since 2014 but I didn't really like it that much. There were good parts but it was meh

People have to realize that the fnaf movie had to pull multiple plot points to make a movie. Only the Vanessa thing was out of touch
Vanessa thing was so goofy
the vaneesa thing was ass but everything else was fine to me i liked it
@@ani.mp3it was weird, but we needed someone who would know what was going on without the audience finding out due to bro dying. There might have been a better way to do it, but I didn’t really mind it too much. I feel like it might also have been a hint to some of the theories about Vanessa from Security Breach being Afton’s daughter. They had a couple Easter eggs in the movie, so definitely wouldn’t surprise me lol

As a FNAF fan, a horror movie enthusiast, and someone who appreciates well-written and executed films, I must say that the FNAF movie falls short in several aspects. While it may not live up to the standards that would earn it awards, I understand why critics have given it negative reviews. From a practical standpoint, it doesn't quite meet the mark of a good film. However, I believe that diehard fans of the franchise will find enjoyment in the movie, appreciating it for what it is.
Great points!!
LORE ON THE MOVIE SUCKS
It was a 8/10 or 7/10, it has it flaws, but remember theres those who dont understand entirely of how fnaf was, it had a lot of lore and it was chaotically everywhere with it. This had summary of fnaf for the fans and those who arent entirely into it
I thought it was a 9/10 because yeah there was some issues but I didn’t care when I saw it because I am a big fan of the games and enjoyed it all the way thru
@@andrewwilliams2937 yep
"it was chaotically everywhere with it" And that's one of the main problems people have the story is a mess. thank you for pointing that out so I won't
@@Raddish-IS-Radd it was summarized eitherway, but its fine for it
My dad who wasn t a fan of fnaf at all said it was good and worth it
It’s bcs they are not fans of the game, so they cannot appreciate the movie
@@Sinivaal😂but I haven’t seen the movie or played the games
Some people just write bad reviews just for the sake of It, this movie was a close 9/10 for me with little flaws, lots of bad reviews are from people who are angry/upset because the movie isn't close enough to the games as they wanted but they don't realise how hard it is to turn a franchise or a game into a movie just look at the slenderman movie, people can have their own opinions but this movie is getting too much unnecessary hate😢
FACTS literally every negative review I've seen but like 2 are people whining about WHY WASN'T THERE A REFERENCE TO SISTER LOCATION, or WHERES THE BLOOD AND GORE
Like they didn't see a guys face half torn apart and a group stuffed into suits.
And to the people complaining it's not following the games?
Pay attention much? That was talked about years ago and Nobody cared to pay attention.
You better hate the books too cuz they don't follow it either.
@skylarkdemello6980 facts bro people are too nitpicking over smallest details, atleast scott gave us a movie and it is good, this movie is aimed at fans and when some critics who are 40 - 50 yr old boomers who haven't played the games they get confused by the story and pretty much everything and just give it a bad review, like I said most of the bad reviews aren't even from the fans
@@skylarkdemello6980 tbf the springlock scene needed some more blood.. the 8 bit minigame has more blood LMFAO
but the movie was still fucking great
I think most of the bad reviews are probably just bc honestly the film is pretty bad, like as someone into films it just falls short and I don’t see it being entertaining for anyone who isn’t already a fan (and even then a lot of fans don’t like it)
@lisebeeston7725 I would say 90% of fans atleast rated above 5/10 its mainly the critics who have the opinion that its bad there are some critics who think its good
The negative reviews are just from die hard fans who were mad about the lore not really being in the movie, that’s literally the only reason. This movie was made for die hard fans who can accept a new plot.
As a Die hard fan who loves the lore, this movie was really fun to watch. The matpat scene has me hyped for the rest of the movie. The ending is great and did great to show us what the spring lock death would look like IRL. I can see how SOME hardcore fans might hate this movie, but most will say if you look at it as non canon, or a different timeline, you're gonna have a fun time.
I just watched it and its bad no, there was no blood and nothing scary
@@redtopatthere is blood don’t lie and it’s a little scary again don’t lie
Bro the lore is everything in fnaf we like the lore.
It’s like when apes butchered titanfall lore
The whole point of the movie is a recreation of the 1st game. Not the whole lore as a whole.
Heres my thing: these are just CRITICS. Not fans. As a fan, I absolutely loved the movie and while I won’t go into detail on much because spoilers are lame- I was literally gasping and freaking out at the attention to detail. Sure there were some…questionable… decisions but it’s a fantastic movie and has been worth the wait.
Oh no, the movie wasn’t bad but I feel it could have been SO much more, just for an example of this William Afton only appeared for 3 minutes,
his costume looked like a muffin and when h
says “I always come back” he said it so badly I wanted to cry. Now remember when the third Fnaf came out and William Aftons death appeared??
It was super creepy and the screams were haunting. The sound the spring lock made made you feel Williams pain. You can even say a 2D version of a not high budget game was creepier than that movie scene, so as I said in the beginning, it could have been SO much more.
William was so underused
I saw it it’s amazing! It’s not scary, it’s jumpy. The story 60% sticks to the game which is a good thing. We all love new stuff if it benefits the movie, which it dose.
Glad you liked it!
Honestly
This is one of the best movies i've ever watched.. bro the animatronics look so good bro 🤯
They look great!!
It was disappointing, Michael and his family weren't even Aftons- 😭
Real
it wouldn’t make the movie interesting (for the rest of the population that isn’t familiar with the game) cus it would be so obvious that mike was williams son.

I genuinely love the movie it is just entertaining to see my childhood retold in a different format. It’s a little different than how the games go, but the story is mostly the same. My one complaint is that like they said it’s not scary and it doesn’t have that same ambience that the first game does. Mike’s never alone except for a very short period of time on the first night so he’s never really scared of the animatronics.

As someone kind of in the middle Its defiantly geared towards the fans but truthfully I think it kind of alienates everyone

@@ThePlaygroundBuzzThe spring locked were supposed to be numerous and violent. Bro got punctures by 6 rather slow springlocks. Also, the cupcake got the last hit…
@@ThePlaygroundBuzzI agree, also the I always come back was an odd placement, it had no meaning for the scene, they should’ve done it for the end instead of “come find me” or even for when the Freddy (or foxy I forgot) kid was watching him slowly die.

I think the issue is with the citrics that don't know what the fuck is going on and came there for a scare.
I just watched it yesterday and it was amazing, the writing and CGI, and the ending Bro. Perfect!
If anyone hasn't watched the movie yet, stay after the credits!
It’s sad because they can’t fit the whole lore on there and to keep from getting absolutely copyrighted they didn’t add a lot of the things that are in the comics, Books, games, etc. I’m honestly disappointed at the hate reviews.
Well its not a horror, Its a thriller. The difference between the two is with thrillers, the story comes first and the scares are second. With horrors, the scares come first and ggen the story comes after. The games are the sane way. Critics wanted a horror but the true fans wanted it for the story.
DONT LIE IT WAS AMAZING
glad you liked it!
Crazy how we got the fnaf movie and mat pat quitting before gta 6
Honestly critics just know nothing and yap all day long I ABSOLUTELY LOVED every second of the film, There were bits that didn’t fit but it didn’t bother me at all, I haven’t been excited for a movie in this long and honestly watching it was a great way to finish off my night. Critics will be critics and Fans will always Be True Fans. They did amazing work on this movie
Exactly!! They just can’t seem to wrap their heads around the fact that it’s in a different time line like the books. Like just because it’s not exact to the first game or not the scariest thing they’ve ever seen, it doesn’t make it a bad movie. And to top it off they’re trying to make everyone else to hate it too! Tbh if there was no story and just fear like how the critics want, it wouldn’t be that entertaining…like at that point go watch the fnaf vhs tapes
the movie was generally bad idiot@@a-n-g-e-l-a
This movie is amazing! Would totally recommend, go see it!😊
It's specifically for the fans. As long as we like it, it's sucessful. I've already seen it and I can tell most fans will love it.
the thing that ruins it and other Blumhouse movies is the pacing. For some reason, Blumhouse makes the boring bits long and all the action short. They did it in Insidious, Megan, and this.
This is late but i think what was the issue was that the critics werent the target audience
I watch the movie, it is very good, dont trust the reviews, its the best movie ever
wasn’t my full cuppa tea but was pretty solid
Honestly the movie kinda sucked. I feel like the first half was not really about the story and about something about mikes sister. And at the end we got no jump scares that was scary and this is the worse part. The story got flipped around about Mike’s dreams and the 5 kids in the dreams plus these thiefs and Vanessa. then one night with mikes sister the animatronics come back to life. But they didn’t try to stuff them in a Freddy suit. then at like at the last 20 mins of the movie the sister get lured into Freddy’s. and then Vanessa and mike have to stop the animatronics from stuffing her in a suit. but when they save her. William comes out and try’s to kill Vanessa and mike. but then the animatronics springlock him then he falls down on the ground. the worthless end.
Well boo hoo, go sit in a corner and cry about it
These critics are the same people that gave Cuties an 80% so take their reviews with a grain of salt
Bro the problem is it's +16 like it's not that scary idk if that is in united states but in Netherlands is +16. But lucky you can watch it in online for free.
they said the same about the mario movie
look how that turned out.
Movie critics who have never even touched any of the games should be barred from reviewing this movie. It was nothing short of amazing. Also I feel like people are leaving bad reviews because it wasn't cannon to the games and the lore didn't add up 100%. Boohoo.
Exactly!! They just can’t seem to wrap their heads around the fact that it’s in a different time line like the books. Like just because it’s not exact to the first game or not the scariest thing they’ve ever seen, it doesn’t make it a bad movie. They just want everyone else to hate it too ig
Some of the things that they changed were genuinely for the worse like how william died and how he says he always comes back before even dying xD
@@Iteilnight they’re probably just foreshadowing for the next movies, like how we thought he died several times in the games but then he came back

@@RarkssIt was uncanny and disturbing at least. This was just a flop. The only remotely uncanny thing is balloon boy. Other than that, you basically know what’s gonna happen because every horror movie nowadays has the same script.

Honestly i thought it was pretty good
It is as it is described as
The five nights at freddy's movie
And as a fan of this since the days of markiplier playing it for the first time i can say that this movie was done whole heartingly well.
And the fact that this movie has been in the works for 8 years is suprising
Scott has worked on this for so long writing and rewriting the plot and story
To find out what would be the best for this
And so far as the story is it might just not be canon to the story because of the whole vanessa and William thing but hey who knows
I thought it was amazing
Lately i haven't been apart of the community because of the toxic people trying to make it bad and the less amount of fan games Lately but i must say scott and blumhouse did amazing
And it sucks that this is already getting bad reviews and people saying it's bad
Mostly because they want negitive publicity because it still is publicity and to see how many people would get mad
And critics never even hearing about this series or know nothing about it at all
Or IGN basically wanting this to be five nights at freddy's gameplay the movie
It is what it was advertised as
Just like the mario movie
So yeah i thought it was great though im doubtful were gonna get a sequel but i don't think it should
This movie should stay as it is without anything to add onto it
But yeah hopefully everyone else loved it because i did
And if there's anyone that didn't then maybe actually watch it this time. Or leave a dislike. Not that it wont matter
Tbh the movie was great in quality and stuff but im a bit upset because the lore doesn’t match up the actual game. Also the spring-lock and and the famous William quote “I always come back” was a bit disappointing 😅
William did nothing 💀
If you saw the movie why is the fricken cupcake the main character
Haven't watched it yet but i don't listen to critics for adaptations they're usually not fans of the source
Tbh the movie wasnt as scary as i thought i pissed myself when there were jumpscares but it was good
Im hardcore fnaf game lore and tbh I'd say the movie is mid. Yes i think the lore is all over the place even though i know whats going on. I'd say too much fan servicing
I really liked the film, just be grateful for what we got
I think it did pretty fcking good tbh

Matpat needs more screentime
"It doesn't have an audience" bruh
I don't care if Fnaf Movie's bad, I like Mike's actor, he's hot, holy mama
The animatronics playing with Abby made me think this a fucking joke sfm
I just need to know why Michael wasn’t Michael afton
Because in fnaf 1 it's Micheal Schmith
My dad is a huge horror fan and he said it was surprisingly really good
Bro either way the jump scares scared the crap out of me😂
As a big fan of FNAF, I am in deep love with the movie, honestly the bad reviews are coming from the ones who know nothing of the series, not fans of the game, or to those who just want to badly criticize the movie, which I don't give a crap about
What made me ick was the fact that we see mike sleeping more than the fazzbear restaurant. And not seing a single night...
Love FNAF, I’ve been in the fandom since 2014. But I didn’t even flinch at the jumó scares, it could’ve been more gruesome, and I just kinda wish that they kept to the lore a bit better.
Sprinlock failure was brutal from that dam cupcake looking ass thing but at least vennesa’s dad is dead
As a fnaf for me it was such a great movie, think of the movie as a sidestory like the books and enjoy it it doesnt have to be exactly in the lore, i loved the "i always come back" and the springlock scene instead of a Quick and painful death we got a slow and painful death and i liked how the springlocks worked instead of the exagerated blood and torned limbs in the fanmades the springlooks just went in his body
The only part I got scared the most was when chicas kid ran across the screen and scratched mike in the forest dream
I’ve just watched it and I am a HUGE fan of the fnaf series. I’ve played all game and I especially enjoyed fnaf 2.
I love the story and even if they changed a few small things, for me all the important event such as golden bunny being the killer of the kids and phone guy himself were in it.
I liked the movie and I hope there will be a second one
