That rear differential is a 8 1/4". Common in 72 and up cars and trucks. Still a good diff. If the intake manifold is a 2bbl with an adaptor for the 4bbl, the engine is most likely a 318. If the manifold is for a 4bbl, the engine is a 360.
Hats off to Taylor for her wise decision! That 74 might be nice for a classic ride for your kids one day. Pulling up to high school in it would surely turn some heads.
I got 1 when I was 14. Still have it. Mind you I got in 2004 for $600 but it's about ready for the road now that finally gave it attention the last 3 months
Ahaha looks and acts just like my 74. Though I'm going a different route with it now. Not a full testo but I'm bringing back to complete and neat piece by piece. Not gonna be a country beater anymore
Personally, I love the patina. I'd make it a sleeper, leave the body alone. Just clean it inside and out. Fix the seat so you don't look like Grandma driving it. But fix up the drive line, suspension 100%. Think Joe Dirt meets Mad Max. That or make it look like Richard Petty's 74 Charger race car.
might not be the bell of the ball that people are looking for but she is in great shape. I wouldnt mind seeing the ol girl get all gussied up and looking better
Even tho it’s a 74 it’s worth fixing up if it’s not rusted out . There still worth a big buck because they are getting hard to find. I would paint it and redo the interior , refresh the drive train great winter project and good content . Then maybe sell it in the spring and put the money into your 69 . I had a 73 se charger with a 440 slap stick 727 it was a fun car .
I think those slotted mags are factory painted but hey, if your girlfriend tells you no when thinking about selling an old muscle car then Taylor definitely a keeper!
I'd strip what you can off it and junk the husk. It's likely a 318 with an open 8 1/4 diff. The 318 is a good core for someone. Someone might want the 8 1/4 for a rat rod or something. The brackets, radiator, and some under hood stuff could go on eBay. The parts will fix other people's projects. The money can go toward a better project car.
@@samsonandrew7652 Thank you, Samson. I own an original 74 Charger and am a big fan of this body style. It was the slickest shape on the NASCAR circuit in its era, unlike the 1st and 2nd gen Chargers which had poor aero. Yours looks solid so have at it and don't listen to the haters of the 3rd gen.
I would restore it, I think it's cool. The trunk is good because the guy spilled oil everywhere. Is it the original engine? Edit: you think those slotted mags are factree painted.
Taylor said no too getting rid of a car. She’s definitely a keeper.

That’s a doozy Sam 😂💪🏻😂👍

Richard Petty raced and won in 3rd generation chargers!

Sweet car Sam. Definitely a great restoration project, in your spare time.
I had one when I was 17 I loved it I want another one

It was definitely a god deal ! I like those slotted wheels 😬
Looks cool with them mags
Beauty!
Hey Sam, you should look for a rust bucket with a nice interior.
Lmfao the seats sitting in the back of the trunk reminded me how big those things were

Hi good to see it on the list to get restored id make it a clone of dasiys from the dukes . Cheers mate 🇦🇺
These were definitely muscle cars...They had all the same options as the challenger, air grabber hood, shaker hood, spoilers, and so on...

It has a 360 according to the vin. And rig definitely like to break both rears loose. I don’t rip apart complete solid cars. I’d rather fix it up

Maybe a paint job. But make a sleeper out of it.
She's a minty one there.
Things mint
Slotted mags are factory painted
Would make a real good flip
You are cray cray. low on trans fluid, no oil pressure, banging and clanking but still takes it on the road.
I think those slotted mags are factory painted!
I’d get some tannerite for that pinto. 😂
sam get a hellcat thats wrecked from copart and put that body on the wrecked cars chassis. it would be dope
Marketplace rebuild..?
“Just a good ol boy, never meaning no harm” lol.
Where can I find one cause I want to build one too
What do you think about buying a 1973 charger like this for a 1000$ to 3000$
Build it!
How much weight is added in bondo!
Front fenders have some but panels are steel

At least it makes for good content. Lol
Put a 71 charger front end on it...fix it up mechanically...primer black...hoon the hell out of it
That a girl Taylor keep him in line
Slotted mags are factory painted...
Restomod it! Too good of shape to kill, not rare enough to deserve high dollar treatment.
I don't know why you don't fix it instead of trying to tear it up
Can’t find out what needs fixed unless you drive it. And I didn’t tear anything up that was putt putt mode
So funny watching you driving the new fixer upper with that seat you couldn’t adjust! Last person that drove it must have been 4’11. 😂😂😂😂
I'll give u 500 for it
