great video Paul - very useful and it seems quite different to Champions Of Midgard which we are divided on - maybe this is a better bet for us - another one to try....

Great video review. The dice were.....engraved? That was my guess for your missing word :)

If you want to feel high-tech and manufacturing savvy, I can tell you that the dice were technically "laser etched!" (Which is still of course, engraved. Just with a laser.) XD

The cats got the dice! Ah ha ha. I know how that goes. I like how the dice are used in the game. Looks like a nice production overall and it's about Vikings so I'll certainly be giving this a play as soon as the opportunity arises. There do seem to be a lot of things to keep track of and a little math to do at the end but it seems like the effort will be fun and worth it.

Agree with you about colour co-ordination of board. The cards on top can get a bit lost in overall impression.I wonder if they tried other colours. You will know that better than me.

thanks for this one Paul, great fast overview, I was really curious about this, unfortunately still can't make up my mind. I'm torn between this one and Ode's new game Cooper Island. I can only get one big euro at Spiel this year...

And what I am hearing is...you'd like an expansion with...MOAR CARDS!!! (Is that right?)

Also, thanks for the feedback provided. The rulebook has already been updated for clarity on the endgame scoring for future printings.

I kind of liked the game, but I think all those scoring methods are to convoluted it could be more straight forward... And I also feel it's lacking some direct player interaction besides the actions and that

I might pick this up. Btw Champions of Midgard becomes pretty much euro with Valhalla expansion :) have you tried any of the Yggdrasil games, the original and the most recent Yggdrasil Chronicles by Ludonaute? I'm curious what you think of them.

Have you played the game with the solo variant available on bgg?
