Weren't you in a safe space at end their after your slide, so she couldn't put the ice on you right? That's what you did in the beginning of the game

I have to look at the instructions again, I thought if you landed on a fire space, you could shoot down the whole side to the other end (fire space)?
okay, so I take it from watching that you have to get the token first. And I also didn't realize that the slides had colors on them.

No they are not. It was a mistake. He probably was confusing it with Parcheesi where the circle spots on the boards are safety zones. Sorry and Parcheesi are very similar.
If this was a teaching moment/game, At 3:11 you should have encouraged your wife to freeze the pawn which was closest to your home base.. Additionally, via the same drawn card, there was no restrictions on your wife sliding and knocking your pawn home. I really want to believe that you wasn't paying attention and you wasn't cheating your wife 😂🤣🤣😂
Yes you are correct about the pawn she should have "froze" being the one closest to his safety zone/home. However, he was correct she cannot slide on that slide because it did not have the yellow color. Just like in the previous versions of Sorry you don't slide on the side of the board that you start from.
