i've been dealing with pain and limited movement for the past 8 months and this is the first exercise that has helped. Just had an mri and it looks like it only showed fraying on the labrum. So thankful that you made this video because I feel like maybe there is hope from not always being in pain. Thank you!
Thank you very much.
Your information and instructions are very beneficial.
I have less discomfort since your work.
Well done.
Excelent and simple one 👍👌🙏🙏🙏
Thank you sir 🎉
Thank you 😊
have a labral tear and this short exercise has helped me quite a bit. Thank you!!!
Glad it helped!
craziest thing ever. i did that first slap thing (and the subsequent exercises). and it hurt. pretty darn bad. but i can lift my arm above my head now with no pain. literally in this short 5 minute video. im a believer. i'll keep on doing these exercises. never thought it would be this easy. (mine is a partial labral tear). very happy...thank you for your time putting this out.
Keep us updated
Thanks! I'm trying it. One question: How often should we do this?
Doc how about the suprascapular nerve entrapment due to torn labrum thank you ❤
Damn this feels right. Trying to avoid surgery! Thank you!!!
Thank you Doc! My shoulder pain is diminishing slowly but surely over these past two weeks doing the SLAP movements as often as I feel the pain approaching 3-4. I am able to reintroduce chest exercises like dumbbell floor press again at the gym.
Love to hear this. Keep updating us about your progress
Thanks for this informative video. I’m 99% sure I have a labral tear in my shoulder but when I do this I have no pain when rotating but when I let go of my elbow I have pain? It seems backwards to me. Do you have any thoughts?
could this be done when the bicep tendon is involved?
I have just been diagnosed with posterior chondrolabral seperation. What is it and what can be done
I have a left shoulder tear too.. hope it it will heal with this exercice, for the moment it really does give temporarily relief so thank you 😎
how is it, 8 months later?
Cmon we need your experience tell us
Still in pain guys sorry it wasn’t the answer 🥹
How often and for how long should be perform this exercise? thanks
Wow...I can't believe the difference that just made...I'm going to get better I know..thank you
You are so welcome!
I wondering if I have a slap tear or my ulnar nerve or TOS is entrapped somewhere because I’m in so much nerve pain. I need your advice because all of this randomly started when I was doing a doorway stretch and heard a pop in my scapula area. Did I re-damage my suture anchor in my labrum?
good very good i have the right shoulder problem i will try this thank you
Yay great!
my kid(15) just had a scan to show a labral tear and a hills saches. he seems to have full range of motion at the moment back now. go him to try this and he said no pain or clicking when doing it. i wonder if surgery is needed for him. we are booked in next week to chat to the doc but i have a feeling it shouldn't be necessary at the moment
When I push my shoulder in like that I get sort of a nerve pain just below the armpit and in the shoulder blade. Any idea what this is?
How many sets and reps should i do this everyday????
Hello Doc, big fan, I have hypermobility joints and 3 dislocation(Bankart Lesion) on right and 2 on left mainly due to rugby and my just profound condition , I am now 21 and have decided to retire from rugby, I am not fond of surgery, can I know whether the shoulder labrum tear can heal on its own by time? I know that the Hip does not heal, how about the shoulders
Thanks Meor. Always depends on severity
hi would like to ask on the purpose of this scour exercise - is it to start inflammation around the labrum, so that it heals faster over time?
Yes
@@RehabRevive appreciate your reply! would like to ask when i can start on this exercise? it has been 3 weeks since my 2nd shoulder dislocation
I hurt mine snowboarding. No MRI yet, but trying to avoid surgery and just want to fully get back to the gym. Been skipping chest and shoulder day. 🙃
Know the feeling, it's horrible, but at least the legs get ore attention 😂
How do you know if it’s a strain or a tear? Happened to me idk what to make of it it’s a weird pain gets puffy near my collarbone when I exercise weird gnawing pain
@@chrisbenj3819 my boyfriend is in med school, so I got lucky with that one. Mine didn’t get puffy it just hurt sometimes with certain movements, and at first hurt to sleep on that side.

Hey Doc! I had surgery around December of 2019. Posterior labral tear. I did PT after and still do so many exercises every day to make it better. I can do most lifts without pain but some definitely do hurt. My shoulder also clicks and has soreness and doesn’t feel 100%. Is it a failed labral repair surgery or is it supposed to be like this?
Failed
@@nikhilr2761 doesn’t click anymore and is healthy :*
@@Immortalus98 what changed?
I had labral surgery with micro fracture and I believe 3-4 anchors and I’m still having stability issues…
I am looking for something to help me get back to feeling functional again and not like a one arm man with an extra arm that hurts when it hangs.
same here, what have you found that works?
What a joke. For me. I’m sure it ok for anyone else.
