LA Thunderbirds are awesome. I'm biased towards the Red White and Blue Uniforms of the LA Thunderbirds.
Thank you for posting this video. It brings back so many memories. I was a huge fan of the Roller Derby back in the 1970's. I wish it would come back the way it used to be. My team back then was the Philadelphia Warriors. Good times!!!

This is awesome. I was born in 71 and I discovered roller derby in the early 80s from ESPN.
Oh ya I was born in 66 started watching derby at 10. Stars like learory gonzales ronny rains and Larry lewis the great one really inspired me so much.. that I was accepted to training camp in 1984 took me a year then skated late 80s through 90s! It was a dream! And skating and knowing these skaters was to this day some thing I Cherish do much! And the derby here where some of the part of the best years! Derby or roller games became theatricals Wich brought in such large crowds! If it where to change with the times it would have been as big as wrestling ! Even better today ! Like when roller games brought everything up to date in 89 90 the show had very high ratings by passing american gladiators and was getting bigger! Until the drama occured. It was fun.. and I watch these over and over!

It's weird seeing the T-Birds in the old 60s red white and blue uniforms in 1977 when they had long since switched to A's green and gold.
I believe 78 was the first year for the green uniforms
