You should take the time to add those section bars within the video time bar for when you switch to different parts of the lecture you are preforming I'm excited to learn from the video. I have ADHD myself and I'm trying to incorporate ADHD symptoms into a genetically modified human race that worships a eldritch Patheon of gods who has connected them all together psychically into a networked intelligence/hivemind which enhances the positive aspects of ADHD and mitigates the negative components and symptoms of the condition within members of the cult, hopefully your video will be helpful to my world building. I was also gonna incorporate other qualities into the modified cult members like autism and narcissism and psychopathy, which have their negative and positive effects enhanced or limited by the networked intelligence/hivemind they're all apart of.

Apparently from what I learned ADD is an outdated term and ADHD is the umbrella name/term for add.

      What the last person said.
But otherwise, you just have to run through the usual steps. If you live in the UK, you start by seeing your GP, if they agree that you might have AD(H)D they will give you a referral form, your referral form goes to the ADHD specialist organisation, they review it and if _they also_ think you might have ADHD, they accept to refer you, and then you play the waiting game. On the NHS the current waiting list is 1-3 years, I have been waiting for 1.5 years already. Once you get your assessment, if you are diagnosed (if you get as far as being referred you very very likely do have ADHD so it's less "if" and more "when") then you progress to treatment, usually a combination of medication and therapy/counseling.
If you're in the UK but don't want to wait nearly 4 years in total between your first GP consultation and the day you get treated, you can go private, but it's EX-PEN-SIVE.. I just recently decided to go private because ADHD is ruining my life and I can't wait any longer, the initial assessment is 1.3k GPB at the clinic I'm going to, but then you have to do follow up appointments and continue seeing the specialist so they can adjust your medication type/dosage until you are on the right treatment plan. These follow up appointments cost a couple hundred pounds each too, and medication is 40 GBP per prescription, but once you have the right medication, the private specialist can give that info back to the NHS and you can start getting your repeat prescription from the NHS instead which I think is either cheaper, or free.
If you live in the US I'm pretty sure the process is exactly the same as going private in the UK but you either have insurance to cover the cost, and if you don't, it'll cost a similar amount to what I just described, easily 3k+ USD for the entire process.
If you don't want to do any of this, you could just go to therapy and tell them you believe you have ADHD, but you won't get any treatment for ADHD, they'll likely just help you to manage your symptoms and traits, but it won't actually "fix" you (remember ADHD is a neurodevelopmental disorder, meaning if you have ADHD, you have a different brain chemistry when it comes to executive function, experiencing pleasure/reward etc, so without medication, all you can do is manage and cope with the symptoms unfortunately)

not at all up to date, but I thought ADD was attention deficit disorder and ADHD was Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder. I thought ADD was just the attention deficits with the absence of the hyperactivity component. haven't watched this video yet to clarify, i'll try to clarify my comment if I find out different.@@shyryTsr2k

Yeah it appears they've combined the categories of ADHD/ADD together and spilt it into three subtypes. Primarily hyperactive symptoms, Primarily Inattention symptoms, and combined presentation of the two together.
